Food Hunt: Restoran Ipoh Ma-Lee, Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya

Hi All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt where today finally ME & Alan had managed to visit Ipoh Ma-Lee restoran located at Bandar Sunway. I wanted to try this restaurant but did not manage to because it only open on alternate Saturdays and that's the time where ME & Alan can come to try it out.

We reach there around 12.00 noon and we were welcomed by the Ipoh Ma-Lee chef cum manager Mr. Derrick Lee. The restoran was not packed at that time and after 1.00pm, the cowrd starting to pick up at the restaurant. The customer service was perfect and after we sit down, Mr Derrick introduced to us some great and their signature food over there. Their signature food would be the 'Chee Cheong Fun', Yam Cake, Ipoh Chicken 'Sar Hor' Noodle and as for their drinks, their signature drinks are Kopi O and Kopi.

I've ordered Ipoh Chicken 'Sar Hor' noodle and a glass of Kopi O Ais. while Alan ordered Ipoh Chee Cheong Fun and a glass of Kopi Ais. We've also ordered the Yam Cake as our dessert as well. Please be reminded that all the dishes above were 100% HOME MADE and they said "We Will Never Put Food Into Your Mouth Before Ours". The Ipoh Chicken 'Sar Hor' Noodle meanwhile was very nice indeed with no added preservatives into it. Once you put into your mouth, you can feel that it's not oily and no ajinamoto inside the soup and it was very nice indeed. Thumb up for that one. The Kopi O Ais meanwhile was fantastic. It was totally different when I drink this one as Mr. Derrick did explained to me that its their own style of creating this type of coffee and you could not find outside. It was indeed true as the taste was different. It was some kind of Hazelnut Kopi O where there are some bitter sweet taste into it. Mr. Derrick, your Kopi O was fantastic yo! You guys should have a try when you visit this restaurant.

Alan have ordered Ipoh 'Chee Cheong Fun' and the taste was very nice indeed. The Chee Cheong Fun contains a lot of Mushrooms and the 'kicap' sauce was very nice too. Alan give a thumbs up to this and said you guys should try it as well. Since ME & Alan came from Ipoh, we can taste the difference between this restaurant and the overall food in Ipoh. This restaurant serves one of the best Ipoh Food in Sunway and PJ town. Meanwhile, Alan ordered Kopi Ais and taste was very good also. Last but not least, we've also ordered the Yam Cake as our dessert as well. What I can tell you is that the Yam Cake was another fantastic item that you should try. The Yam taste was heavy and it was absolutely tasty and once you put into your mouth, you 'll love it very much.

I would like to say congratulations to you, Mr. Derrick Lee for setting up such as lovely and nice restaurant and the food was perfect as well. What can I say is keep up the good work and invent more dishes for us to try in near future. I know you are improving yourselves at the moment and just keep it up. Besides, Mr. Derrick was also a nice going guy which loves to chat and friendly to its customers as we can get together very well indeed. I would also recommended all of my blogger friends and visitors on alexleow-kimmy.com to go this restaurant and try out the Ipoh Cuisine at this restaurant. No matter where you are, just come and support him as no regret on trying the food. I can guarantee you the food mentioned and introduced above is very nice and it's worth every penny you pay for it. The price meanwhile is not expensive and reasonable as well. The bill came and it's RM20.30 for the amount of food we eat as ME & Alan was very satisfy with the food that we get. Remember to drop by at Restoran Ipoh Ma-Lee as well ya. MY RATING: 5/5 ; ALAN RATING: 5/5

*Food rating is based on the food we've ordered and not overall food.
