Food Hunt: Foh San Dim Sum (富山茶楼), Ipoh (Part 2)

Good Afternoon Folks,

I am back again for yet another food hunt action back here at my hometown in Ipoh and today it's a rare occasion where I went for Dim Sum lunch and we have selected Foh San Dim Sum (富山茶楼) as our choice again because according to my mother, she said after 11.00am, there are some new menu being introduced during the lunch Dim Sum and she said we should give it a try.

We reach there around 1.00pm and we are a bit late for lunch because the lunch starts at 11.00am and the food is very limited as for now. We tried to order "Chee Cheong Fun", "Loh Mai Kai", Porridge as all of these sold out! Wow! Pretty dissapointed that we did not try that because we have to admit we reach there late. But we manage to order some of the Dim Sum (please see pictures) and we manage to try the "Shanghai Siu Long Bau" where you can only get to eat it after 11.00am and not in the morning. The Shanghai Siu Long Bau was very nice and juicy as well. Very recommended to try it out.

We've also ordered 'Char Siew Pau', 'Yee Mai', 'Siew Mai', 'Har Kau' & of course their main course "Speghetti Char Cheong Mee" serve with a soup. This main course was very nice also and it's big portion as well. Now, on their lunch menu, you can actually try out their newly Rice & Mee menu. Last time before they introduced the lunch menu, they only sell Dim Sum in the mornings and afternoons. If you are in Ipoh during the lunch hour, don't worry or do not hesitate to come over to Foh San as you can still enjoy their Dim Sum and can be served with Rice or Mee as well. Just now when I was there, there were very little people only probably some do not know and some people do not like to take Dim Sum for lunch.

Overall, the food was amazing and very nice. No doubt it was very famous not only in Malaysia but people in Hong Kong and Singapore would also dropped by here to enjoy the Dim Sum. The price here is reasonable and not as expensive as in Kuala Lumpur. Think Ipoh, Think Foh San. MY RATING: 5/5 ; MY FAMILY RATING: 5/5
