My Comments: It was yet another great movie outings for us and today it's a relaxing Sunday. ME & Kimmy had decided to go for a movie. This time around, we have chosen a comedy to watch and it's a Chinese movie as well. Introducing the Princess And The Seven Kung Fu Masters. This movie talks about the fight between the Japanese and our Chinese people and how the Japanese uses their dirty tactics to overcome and force the Chinese people to work with them. Starring tonnes of stars of Hong Kong including Eric Tsang, Sandra Ng, Wong Cho-Lam, Yuen Wah, Ronald Cheng and many more and with the strong support of the comedy king director Wong Jing, this movie promises you an hour and a half of laughter and most importantly the storyline is well documented and I would ay it's a very successful movie as well. Although there are some scenes which I think not logic, following the Stephen Chow funny style of movie, but still it will be entertaining and fun too. If you bring your family to watch, your whole family will love it because it's full of laughter and martial arts as well and they are serious in kung fu fighting as well. Overall it's yet another great performance by Wong Jing in developing this movie and I would say great. I would strongly recommend you to watch this movie and have fun laughing and its great and strong martial arts too. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

__________________________________________________________

My Comments:  We visited TGV 1 Utama to watch this movie and of course we are very impressive about this cinema because it's very comfortable and new too and the sound effects is wonderful as well. This time around, we have chosen The Croods as the movie of our choice. It talks about our human that lives centuries ago and their behaviour. Of course, this is a remake version of it and it's more into an adventure movie that can eventually makes you laugh and cry for the whole of your family. Remember to bring your tissues in as well because it's either you will laugh out loud or cry almost at the end of the movie. It's more suitable for kids to watch this movie as well and they will surely love it as well. For adults, the jokes in this movie will definitely make you laugh out loud too. The storyline is simple and easy to understand as there's no rocket science defined in this movie. What I can say is just a great family movie to watch. Also do look up for some fantastic creatures in this movie which we can see dogs, dragonfly, tigers and many more and they look special. Just watch out how a cavemen turned into an openly adventurous outings for The Croods family. A lovely and relaxing movie to watch and of course most recommended by me as well. Enjoy! Leisure: MBO Cinema, Citta Mall, Petaling Jaya

Holla!

Welcome back to yet another edition of Cinema Review and in this latest issue of cinema review, we are going to bring you over to the newly opened MBO cinemas located at Citta Mall, Ara Damansara Petaling Jaya. I would still say it's a newly opened cinema because it just opened in December last year and this year March they added another 3 new cinema halls to make it a total of 9 cinema halls overall.

This cinema in one of the most unique cinemas that can be found in whole Malaysia and particularly the theme for this cinemas would be a Lego themed cinema. Outside the cinema, you can see it's perfectly installed with lots of Lego blocks including on of it's wall which was then decorated with approximately 1000 Lego blocks which was then build in together. Also, at the ceiling of the cinema floor, you can see Lego block in between with different colours as well. For the display of cinema hall seating, you can also see a lego theme blocks with different numbers and colours. If the lights of the lego blocks is blinking, then the cinema hall is open for seating.

The best part is while you are walking into the cinema halls, you can actually see Lego blocks on top of the ceiling and in the same time it's a bit scary as well especially if you walk alone because one needs to walk about 100 meters along the isle before reaching the cinema halls and once you enter the cinema halls, you can see Lego blocks being decorated on each and every side of the halls. It was a truly Lego themed Cinema and I must say it's one of the most unique cinemas that can be found in Malaysia. Check out the photos that we have posted for you. I would strongly recommend you to come over to this MBO Cinemas located at Citta Mall and experience it yourself. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

_________________________________________________________

My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had visited MBO Citta Mall for the first time and it was a really beautiful and special cinemas which features the Lego themed. We have apparently watched Jack The Giant Slayer. This movie is an all action packed movie with great adventures and suspense and it's a great movie to watch. I felt that the storyline is too simple and it can be still improved and then make it more longer although the 120 minutes duration is simply not enough. With the great acts such as Evan McGregor, Ian McShane and many others more, this movie promises to one of the great movies to catch this year. As I said earlier, the storyline is pretty simple and you would have guess what will happened and luckily the action has covered the storyline. The action is pretty much intact and the jokes is this movie is not much. It talks about a farmer name Jack whose mission to find the princess and he have to climb above the roots of the trees to save the princess of his kingdom. Can he succeed? Check it out! Overall, this movie is great and it's a must watch by all of you and this movie is suitable for kids and the whole family too. I would recommend you to watch this movie if you haven't. Enjoy! Food Hunt: Manhattan Fish Market, e@Curve (Update 3)

Welcome back!

This is yet another edition of Food Hunt where ME & Kimmy had visited Manhattan Fish Market located at e@Curve. This is the 3rd time we've visited this restaurant and yes, we do order different food to do a review. This time around, we reach the restaurant around 6.45pm and the crowd is pretty less and we have plenty seats to choose from. We were then shown the menu and we browse through the menu and this is what we've ordered:

1.) Seafood Chicken Platter (RM29.90)
2.) Cala-Cala Drink (RM8.90)
3.) Mineral Water (RM2.90)

Yes. The above is the food we've ordered and we share our meal this time as we are quite full after having our very late lunch as well earlier. The food does  not take very long to arrive and Cala-Cala Drink and Mineral Water is the first which came to our table. The Cala-Cala drink is very special and as I said earlier in my other posts, it's their signature drink and it tastes like fizzy with cola mix with lemonade. It's very nice and super recommended to order although it's a bit pricey. Last but not least is the Seafood Chicken Platter. Frankly, it's not enough to share with 2 persons unless both of you are quite full and eat a little bit only. The portion can cater 1 person only. The Seafood Chicken Platter is very nice indeed with lots of fried seafood (fish, prawns, squid etc.) and most surprisingly is the chicken where it tastes nice and yummy too. It also comes with some Garlic Rice and French Fries as well and a little bit of broccoli's and it's simply fantastic. This main course is recommended to you all and worth of trying as well.

Cala-Cala Drink (RM8.90)
Seafood Chicken Platter (RM29.90)
The price we have to pay overall is RM48.35 inclusive of 10% Service Charge and 6% Government Tax. I think the price is reasonable based on the type of food we ordered which is the seafood. I would recommend you to try out the Seafood Chicken Platter apart from the other dishes that was posted earlier on. Enjoy your meal. MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

___________________________________________________________

My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had our outings once again and we have chosen Cathay Cineplexes at Mutiara Damansara to catch a movie and in the same time to windows shopping once again. This time around we have chosen this movie Oz - The Great And Powerful and this is one of the story that I am looking forward to. Overall, the storyline of this movie follows almost the same like what you saw previously on Alice In Wonderland movie and it was fun especially when you love adventurous and fantasy typed movies. The storyline is pretty simple and easy to understand and for me I think it could be more better. What I really love about this movie is because of its jokes. There are tonnes of jokes in this movie and particularly it came from the monkey and Oz himself. Just watch this movie and you will know it and witness what I am trying to say. The casts in this movie overall did perform very well too. The ending of this movie is pretty special as you can see how the Oz invented new things that can fight with the witch. This movie is really suitable for the whole family to watch and it would be entertaining for the kids especially as well. I would recommend you to watch this movie. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

Food Hunt: Face To Face Noodle House (面对面), Kepong, Kuala Lumpur

Hi All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and this time around we bring you to yet another famous franchise restaurant in the Klang Valley where it had been established quite a long time ago. Introducing the Face To Face Noodle House situated at Kepong, Kuala Lumpur and this is one of the franchise as it has a lots of outlets. Since we are near to Kepong today, we have decided to try out this outlet.

Spicy Pan Mee (RM6.30)
We reached the restaurant at around 2.00pm and it was crowded but still there are places for us to sit. Since today is weekend, many had taken the opportunity to dine in at this restaurant with friends and families. We browse through the menu and this is what we've ordered:

1.) Chef's Special Pan Mee (Soup) (RM6.30)
2.) House Specialty Pan Mee (Soup) (RM6.30)
3.) Life-Cultivation Tea (Cold) (RM6.60) (RM3.30 per cup)

Despite the restaurant is crowded, we have to wait for quite some time before the food arrives. It's not very long though and we are satisfied with the waiting time as well despite we are hungry. I've ordered the Chef's Special Pan Mee (Soup) while Kimmy ordered House Specialty Pan Mee (Soup). The Chef Special Pan Mee (Soup) is best and nice to eat. It contains fish balls and pork lard where it's crunchy and you can chew on it while eating together with the Pan Mee. The soup is just nice and nothing special about it. The thick mee that I've ordered is nice and overall this bowl of Chef's Special Pan Mee is good and should be in your list when you visit Face To Face Noodle House. For the House Specialty Pan Mee (Soup), Kimmy said that it's just normal and nothing so special about it. The soup is quite clear and just average only. It contains an egg with yolk and some ikan bilis. The Chef Special Pan Mee is a much more recommended choice than the House Specialty Pan Mee. Lastly is our drinks where we ordered the healthy Life-Cultivation Tea where it contains Red Dates, 'Kei Chi' and Ginseng and it helps to cool your body. Best of it, this drink is so refreshing and nice too. It's super recommended to order this drink.

Life-Cultivation Tea (Cold) (RM3.30)
Chef's Special Pan Mee (Soup) (RM6.30)
House Specialty Pan Mee (Soup) (RM6.30)
The price meanwhile is not expensive based on the portion we get and the portion is not big though and it's reasonable for us to pay for the price. Our total bill is around RM19.20 without any service nor government tax. If you're here, do also look forward into trying another Pan Mee specialty here including the famous Spicy Pan Mee where this is their signature dish over here. This Spicy Pan Mee (Dry Version) requires you to mix together with the chilli flakes into the Pan Mee and mix together and you can feel the spiciness when you eat it but you will feel the satisfaction into maximum level. Enjoy your meal and happy trying! Enjoy your meal. MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

After thinking for quite a long time since we travel from Putrajaya on what we gonna eat, finally we've decided to go to Yummy Taiwan at Kota Kemuning. We reached the restaurant at about 12.45pm and the crowd is pretty less and this only happens during weekends and during weekdays, it's crowded especially during lunch hours.

Bubble Milk Tea (RM4.50) & Lychee Honey Black Tea (RM3.90)
Lychee Honey Black Tea (RM3.90)
We sat down as there are many places for us to choose from and we take a look at the menu. The waitress are very friendly as well too. We've ordered the following items:

2.) Sesame Rice Wine Chicken Mee Sua (RM9.90)
3.) Lychee Honey Black Tea (RM3.90)
4.) Bubble Milk Tea (Cold) (RM4.50)

It did not take very long for the food to arrive and we only waited for about 5 minutes and food were served. The 3 Cups Chicken Rice Bento is nice especially sauce which is marinated together with the chicken and is very tasty. Inside the Bento box, it also contains a dessert, 1 piece of tofu and a few slices of sweet & sour vegetables as well. For the Sesame Rice Wine Chicken Mee Sua, it's also very good indeed according to Alan. He said that the soup has a very average wine taste and could be more better if they have added more wine into the soup and overall the mee, chicken and soup taste good indeed. A recommendation from Alan as well. For drinks, the Bubble Milk Tea was acceptable and nice while the Lychee Honey Black Tea is a must order as it's very tasty and rich in Lychee flavour. I can also taste a little bit of honey as well inside the black tea. Good!

3 Cups Chicken Rice Bento (RM9.90)
Sesame Rice Wine Chicken Mee Sua (RM9.90)
Overall, the portion of the food & drinks is pretty huge and acceptable based on the price charged. Food Hunt: Wong Kok Char Chan Teng (旺角茶餐厅), 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today ME & Kimmy had a long journey. After visiting Putrajaya for a half day tour, then we proceed 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya for our windows shopping and in the same time to have our dinner there. We have got something to do there and of course once it reaches dinner time, we will definitely dine there as well. This time around, we have chosen Wong Kok Char Chan Teng (旺角茶餐厅) at 1 Utama and it has been since a while where we visited this restaurant back in 2009. Details here: http://www.alexleow-kimmy.com/2009/11/food-hunt-wong-kok-char-chan-teng-1.html.

We reached the restaurant at about 6.30pm and the crowd is pretty less at the restaurant. It had apparently undergo a huge renovation since 2009 and now the restaurant is very beautiful and elegant and better than before. We were then immediately served by the waiter there with the menu and we browse through the menu and it has a lot of food choices to choose from Chinese Food to Western Food as well. This is what we've ordered:

1.) Fried Rice with 5 Pork Spicy Rice (RM11.30)
2.) Rice With Tuna Soup (RM10.50)
3.) Redbean Sago Ice (RM5.80)
4.) Fresh Honey Lemon Ice (RM4.20)

We have waited for about 10 minutes before the food arrives and that's considered very good already. That time the crowd is just average and not much people yet. The restaurant is very spacious and can cater at least 50 tables. The Fried Rice with 5 Pork Spicy Rice is a must try at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng. It's also a recommended main course by the restaurant. The fried rice is very nice supported by the fresh 5 pork as well. It's not too spicy and just nice. Thumbs up for this dish. The Rice with Tuna Soup is just average and not so nice as it only contains the soup, rice and tuna whereby the rice is covered by the soup and tuna was served together as well. For drinks, the Redbean Sago Ice is very nice indeed and recommended by Kimmy as well. Meanwhile for the Fresh Honey Lemon Ice, it's also very nice and fresh too. I felt refreshing after drinking the Fresh Honey Lemon Ice and both drinks is recommended while you dine in here.

Fresh Honey Lemon Ice (RM4.20)
Redbean Sago (RM5.80)
Rice With Tuna Soup (RM10.50)
Fried Rice with 5 Pork Spicy Rice (RM11.30)
The price meanwhile is reasonable provided the food we've ordered is above average to nice and tasty. We pay RM35.00 including 10% Service Charge only and without Government Service Tax. I forgot to mention about the portion of the servings and it's above average and still worth the price we pay. I would recommend you to come over here to try out their food and do remember to try out their chef recommended dishes as stated on their menu as I believe it's nice as both of us had ordered some of them too. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5
