Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another of mini Food Hunt where we are going to bring you around the Klang Valley again to search for nice food and after we've tried the food we will be giving the rating based on the food we've ordered and not overall food. Here we go:

Restoran SSTwo Kopitiam, Petaling Jaya (Formally known as New Arlisan Restaurant)

Address: 3, Jalan SS2/4A, Taman Bahagia, Petaling Jaya, Selangor (Opposite 99 SpeedMart)
Business Hours: 8.00am - 12.00am Daily

Ostrich Meat Rice (RM6.50 per plate)
This is our weekly food stall where we go out and have our dinner almost every Monday and then the best can be found at this restaurant is definitely the Chinese Big Chef over here (open afternoon till night). Everytime we are here, we always order the single portion Chinese dishes. Among the best (single portion) including Fried Rice (RM5.50), Ostrich Meat Rice (RM6.50) and Yee Mee Noodles (RM5.50). Also do ask for Sambal as their Sambal is one of the best in Petaling Jaya. Trust me! The price is pretty reasonable and the above food mentioned is a must try. Also served at this restaurant including Bak Kut Tea which I would say very good can be found in Petaling Jaya (only open at night). This 2 stalls are among the best at the restaurant. So my recommendation to you is go and try it out. MY RATING: 5/5

Spaghetti Carbonara (RM10.00)
Nasi Lemak Sotong (RM6.00)
Assam Boi Limau Ais (RM1.80)
This is our favourite restaurant in Petaling Jaya. We offen go here every Tuesday and have a great time there trying out the food. Among the best food that can be found here including the famous Nasi Lemak (Sotong, Ayam, Daging), Spaghetti, Various Fried Rice and most importantly the portion is pretty huge and filling as well. The taste is very good. The Nasi Lemak ranged between RM5 - 10, Spaghetti between RM7 - RM20 while the Fried Rice price ranging from RM5 - RM15 depends on what you order. Normally I will order the Nasi Lemak Sotong (RM6.00) and Spaghetti Carbonara (RM10.00) while for drinks I love their Assam Boi Limau (RM1.80) which is recommended to order as well. Murni Discovery serves from Western, Chinese to Malay Food and lots of varieties too. The price is reasonable accordance to its portion. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5

Mini Food Hunt: In-House Health Cuisine, Kota Kemuning & Kenny Rogers Roasters, Sunway Pyramid, Selangor

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another of mini Food Hunt where we are going to bring you around the Klang Valley again to search for nice food and after we've tried the food we will be giving the rating based on the food we've ordered and not overall food. Here we go:

In-House Health Cuisine, Kota Kemuning

Address: 28, Jalan Anggerik Mokara 31/47, Kota Kemuning
40460, Shah Alam, Selangor.
Telephone: 03-51210151

Business Hours: Monday - Friday 11.00am - 9.00pm ; Saturday - Sunday 9.30am - 9.00pm
Website: http://www.alexleow-kimmy.com/2013/06/food-hunt-in-house-health-cuisine-kota.html

We visited In-House Health Cuisine again as we have visited it a month ago. Today we are there to eat again and to try out other food stuffs and drinks. Except Kimmy who ordered the same dishes which is the Sauna Stone Bowl Fish Noodles (RM12.90) which will be her all time favourite now, I ordered the Cantonese Seafood Noodles (RM13.90) and for drinks I've ordered the Ice Peach Tea (RM4.90) while Kimmy ordered the Ice Lemon Tea (RM4.90).

This time despite the large crowd during lunch break around 1.00pm, the food still came pretty fast with very efficient serving time. Love the service over there. Simply perfect! The Sauna Stone Bowl Fish Noodles remained to be very nice especially the soup which is perfect and lovely. If you love chilli, do try out the chilli as it's very hot and spicy too that comes together with the garlic. The Cantonese Seafood Noodles meanwhile is also must try as it's nice especially the seafood which is very fresh and tasty. The noodle meanwhile is brown in colour and it's thin and it looks like the Wantan Mee but it's slightly thinner. It's very nice especially the gravy of the noodle which I could not express and I give a word GREAT! The portion is pretty huge and it's worth of the price we pay.

Ice Peach Tea & Ice Lemon Tea (RM4.90 each)
Ice Lemon Tea (RM4.90)
Cantonese Seafood Noodle (RM13.90)
Sauna Stone Bowl Fish Noodles (RM12.90)
For drinks, The Ice Peach Tea is a must try at the restaurant as well. It's rich in Peach taste and fresh too. The Ice Lemon Tea meanwhile is a bit sour and bitter in taste too. So in conclusion, do order the Ice Peach Tea instead of the Ice Lemon Tea with the same price. The price is pretty reasonable as well and we pay around RM38.00 with 6% Service Charge only without the Government Tax. Once again, a great recommendation from both of us to you if you are at Kota Kemuning. MY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT) ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT)

Kenny Rogers Roasters, Sunway Pyramid, Selangor

Address: LG 2.96, Lower Level 2,
Sunway Pyramid Mall, 46150 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Telephone: 03-56383925
Business Hours: 10.00am - 10.00pm Daily
Website: http://www.krr.com.my/

We are at Sunway Pyramid for some shopping and then after that we are looking for something to eat for dinner. Then we have visited Kenny Rogers located at Lower Level 2 Sunway Pyramid. We reached the restaurant at around 8.20pm, and the restaurant is less people as it's after Buka Puasa. During 7.00pm - 8.15pm, the restaurant is very packed after the Muslim's Buka Puasa for a satisfying meal. We sat down and then ordered 2 sets of Kenny's 1/4 Meal (RM18.50 each). I've ordered the BBQ Chicken with Golden Corn & Carrot, Baked Beans and Potato Salad as my side dishes while Kimmy ordered also the BBQ Chicken with Mashed Potato, Fruits Salad and Golden Corn and Carrot. Each meal comes with a free muffin as well and I've chosen the chocolate muffin while Kimmy chosen the Vanilla Muffin. For drinks, I've ordered Bottomless 100-Plus (RM5.90) while Kimmy ordered a glass of Ice Water (Free).

Chicken BBQ With Baked Beans, Golden Carrot & Corn & Potato Salad (RM18.50)
Chicken BBQ With Golden Corn & Carrot, Mashed Potato & Fruits Salad (RM18.50)
The wait till is pretty long despite pretty less people in the restaurant and this is also due to the staff who wanted to Buka Puasa after that and that slows down the operation. After we waited for about 20 minutes, finally our food arrives. The set ordered by me (BBQ Chicken with Golden Corn & Carrot, Baked Beans and Potato Salad) is nice and the portion is huge as well. The same goes to Kimmy's as well. For the muffin, both of us prefer the chocolate ones than the vanilla. The 100-Plus is tasteless as I can only taste the soda water. Bad! Overall, the price had raised from previous RM16++ to now RM18++ but luckily the portion is still big and satisfying as well. We pay around RM49.00 which includes 10% Service & 6% Government Tax and the price we pay is just reasonable. We do not complaint about the food but the drinks pretty sucks and needs improvement. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 3.5/5

Mini Food Hunt: Ah Cheng Laksa, Giant Shah Alam & Italiannies Restaurant, Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya

Dear All,

Ah Cheng Laksa, Giant Shah Alam

Business Hours: 10.00am - 10.00pm Daily

Website: http://www.ahchenglaksa.com.my/

Assam Laksa
Assam Laksa
Assam Laksa (Normal & Extra Fish)
We visited Ah Cheng Laksa located at Giant Shah Alam and we arrived at 2.00pm and the crowd is pretty less. For your information, the restaurant usually packed during weekdays and especially during lunch working hours as well. Other than that, the crowd can be considered still OK and not packed. Me & Kimmy sat down nearby the cashier and then we were then served. I've ordered the Assam Laksa + Extra Fish (RM8.90) while Kimmy ordered the Assam Laksa (RM6.90). For drinks, I've ordered the 100 Plus (RM2.90) while Kimmy ordered Longan (RM2.20).

Nasi Lemak
Curry Laksa
Herbal Chicken Noodle
Longan
The Assam Laksa with or without extra fish is really nice and tasty. The best part is you can add as many prawn paste as you want with no limit. So far, this restaurant located at Giant Shah Alam is one of the best Ah Cheng laksa around town and then I must agree that the tastes differ for each branch. I would strongly recommend you to come over here to try out the Assam Laksa taste here. The Longan that was ordered by Kimmy was also nice and tasty. We had a great time having our simple yet tasty lunch here. What are you waiting for? Do drop by and taste it. Besides selling Assam Laksa, they also serves Nasi Lemak, Herbal Chicken Rice/Noodle & Curry Laksa and I heard it's tasty too (from other bloggers) as I have not try them. The price meanwhile is pretty reasonable and not too expensive either. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

Olive Oil & Vinegar
Mushroom Soup (RM14.90)
Ice Lemon Tea (RM6.90)
Bread
Spaghetti Meatball (RM36.90)
Our next stop would be Italiannies located at Paradigm Mall as our dinner this time. We walked into the restaurant at about 7.45pm and the restaurant is nearly packed and crowded. We browse through the menu and see what we can eat and apparently we have chosen to share the portion instead of having our own. We've ordered  Ice Lemon Tea (RM6.50) for 2 and then Mushroom Soup (Regular) (RM14.90) followed by Spaghetti Meatball (Regular) (RM36.90). By looking at the price, it's pretty expensive but at least the portion is just nice for 2 persons. There are several size to choose from ranging small, regular and large with different price tags. We only waited for about 10 minutes despite the huge crowd and the food came. The Ice Lemon Tea is nice and juicy as well. The Mushroom Soup is nice and creamy too with the portion (Regular) just nice for 2 persons. The Spaghetti Meatball meanwhile is very taste indeed and what impresses me is the meatball where it's huge and big! Overall we are satisfied of the meal. The price is pretty expensive (inclusive of 10% Government Tax & 6% Service Tax) but at least the food is nice and the portion is acceptable. Besides all the food we've ordered, there are also other choices that served at Italiannies such as pizza, pasta, salad, bread and many more. The name says it all 'Italian' and so you should expect Italian food. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

Review: It was a hot sunny Friday afternoon where it's my off day basically and I manage to spend my afternoon with my beloved family and all of us went for lunch at Cross Over Cafe located at Festival Walk Ipoh Garden East. According to my family, this restaurant just opened not long ago. We reached the restaurant around 1.00pm and the crowd is building up slowly and it was packed 30 minutes later. The menu is just like Wong Kok and there's a lot choices to choose from. We do enjoy the environment there as it was cold and we do enjoy our meal there. We browse through the menu and then we found there's Korean, Western and Chinese food to choose from. I've ordered the Creamy Mushroom & Pumpkin Spaghetti (RM11.90) while Alan ordered Spicy Korean Noodle Soup With Roasted Pork (RM8.90). My father ordered Pumpkin Wui Fan (RM6.90). For drinks, we've ordered Ambra Juice (RM2.90), Calamansi Juice (RM2.90).

Lychee Pineapple Smoothies
Char Kuey Teow
The food is overall nice and the price is reasonable provided the portion of the food is nice too. According to source, the chef had worked for Wong Kok previously and he is a good chef who have been brought and work here. So mostly the food here is very nice and tasty. Do try out the Creamy Mushroom & Pumpkin Spaghetti as it's very nice as well as the Spicy Korean Noodle Soup With Roasted Pork. The price we pay around RM45.00++ included service and government tax. I would recommend you to come and try out the food over here as it's nice, price is reasonable and it's air conditioned too. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; MY FAMILY RATING: 5/5

Dragon Fruit Juice
Umbra Juice
Review: This is one of the most famous eateries can be found in Ipoh. The specialty of this place is definitely the Yong Tau Foo, noodle soup as well as Popiah and Assam Laksa. People name this place as "Dai Shu Geok" (Big Foot Tree). It has a lot of hawker stalls situated at the bottom of a huge shaded tree. Now, among the famous hawker stalls here are the ones selling Yong Tau Foo, noodle soup and Assam Laksa. Besides, the popiah is also nice. Other stalls including satay, fried finger foods, chicken rice and many more. The best and famous of course comes from the Yong Tau Foo where you need queue for about 10 - 30 minutes before you finish picking up the Yong Tau Foo and then you need to wait around 10-30 minutes for it to arrive on your table. Do take note that this place is crowded during peak hours (lunch), weekends and public holidays. Do try the noodle soup and assam laksa as it tasty too. We ordered 4 bowls of normal soup mee plus meehoon together with some mixture of Yong Tau Foo as we've got 4 people to dine in. It's really nice and tasty especially the Yong Tau Foo. We've tried the Assam Laksa and Popiah and seriously, both of them are very nice too. Yummy! A must try all of the food as recommended when you are here.

The drinks, we've ordered of course would be Watermelon & Umbra Juice and both of this are super nice and cooling especially under a hot weather. Also do try out the Dragonfruit Juice too as it's wonderful too. We do have a wonderful time dine in at this place despite the food are wonderful and then it's not too hot as it was covered under the big foot tree. Enjoy the food over here. MY RATING: 5/5 ; MY FAMILY RATING: 5/5
