Food Hunt: Kim Gary Restaurant, The Curve Shopping Mall

Hi All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt as we continue to hunt for great food. Since we are at The Curve today, we got a lot of choices to choose from for food. Kimmy and ME had chosen Chinese cuisine for today's dinner and of course Kim Gary comes into our mind and without any hesitation, we went there to try out the food.

We arrived at the restaurant at about 7.00pm and the restaurant is actually not full. Only half of the restaurant were occupied. We were served immedietely by the waitress over there and the service was good. After we sat down, the waitress bring us the menu and it took us about 15 minutes to decide what to eat. I've ordered Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop (Italian Sauce) (RM13.90) while Kimmy ordered Cheese Baked Rice with Fish Fillet (Italian Sauce) (RM13.90). For drinks, I've ordered Lemon Coke (RM3.90) and Kimmy ordered Hot Honey Lemon (RM3.90). After we finished our main course, we did ordered Red Pepper French Fries (RM5.90) as well.

Let's go to the food comments. My Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop was nice. But I still prefer the Cheese Baked Rice from Wong Kok Restaurant as it's much more tastier compared to Kim Gary. But, I would still give good marks to the Cheese Baked Rice from Kim Gary as it had a different taste. The taste is a little bit mild but I can still taste the flavour. It was still nice and not very nice. For Kimmy's Cheese Baked Rice with Fish Fillet, it was very good indeed. The fish slice was very fresh and soft indeed. When you put into your mouth, it was really nice and it can be digest directly with the rice and cheese. This makes the dish very mouth watering as well.

For our drinks, let's not comment about my Lemon Coke because it's a very common drink where they just provide a can of Coca-Cola served with a glass of ice and 3 slices of Lemon. You can opt for this drink too if you are thirsty because it can help you to kill your thirst. For Kimmy's Hot Honey Lemon, Kimmy claimed that it was not sweet enough but when I give it a try, it was just nice and sweet too. Haha! It depends on individuals actually. If you felt it's not sweet, you can always consult the waiter or waitress over there to add honey for you. Last but not least, we've also try out the Ireland Crispy Red Pepper French Fries as our dessert. The taste was very nice and I guess it's easy to make it. Just pour some pepper flakes into the french fries and bake in oven for about 5 minutes and it's ready to eat. For your information, the french fries serve is not fried and just bake only. Once you eat it, you cannot feel the crunchy of the friends but instead of just normal bite on the mouth. But, don't underestimate it as it was nice as well as nice to bite. Recommended to try it out also.

The price was a bit expensive but if the food is nice, it's still value for money as well. The bill came including tax is about RM50.05. I would recommend you to try out every single food that we've ordered as it's nice. We never regret at all when eating the food today. If you have a chance, do come with your friends or bring your family along to try out the food in Kim Gary. Terms Cash only ya! Enjoy! :) MY RATING: 4.5 /5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4.5/5

*Food rating is based on the food we've ordered and not overall food.
