Leisure: The Curve & e@Curve Christmas Decorations 2011

Dear All,

Jolly Greetings from us on alexleow-kimmy.com. Today is the real Christmas Day and ME & Kimmy had spend the whole day going on a date at The Curve and e@Curve on Mutiara Damansara to catch the latest Christmas Decorations here and it was not a really dissapointing decorations though. This year, the Christmas theme of The Curve would be An Enchanting Christmas Kingdom and the Christmas Theme for e@Curve would be Chip-Wrecked Christmas where it focuses more on the Chipmunks icon for their Christmas theme.

Today it was super crowded as it was Christmas Day and many patrons throng the shopping malls to catch lots of series of Christmas Events that was prepared by the mall itself. The Curve Christmas Decorations this year would be a very blue indoor Christmas and it was simply fascinating. The lights and the Christmas tress are very beautiful indeed and it was good too. For e@Curve, the Christmas Decorations are very simple and nothing much to shout about. The only lucky thing that we saw Chipmunks performance at the stage and it was simply awesome. But it was totally different outside the e@Curve mall where it stands a huge Christmas Tree as well in front of the fountain. There it's very beautiful and good to take photos especially at night. The worst comes from Ikano Power Centre (IPC) where the shopping malls decorations are the worst among all with some house decorations and all in white color. No comments about that.

Overall, I would recommend you to come over here to The Curve to catch the glimpse of the beautiful Christmas Decorations that was beautifully decorated. You have another week to witness the decorations before it was taken off. For e@Curve, you may catch a huge Christmas Tree with quite beautiful decorations outside the mall and for inside, there's nothing special. Please do not visit the Ikano Power Centre Christmas Decorations as it was the worstly decorated mall and the worst I've ever seen in my life. I will publish some photos over here and to view the full photos, kindly check my Facebook page or logon to alexleow-kimmy.com Facebook Page to check it out as well. Enjoy! Festival: Merry Christmas 2011

Season Greetings Everyone!

It's the time of the season again where the whole world celebrated Christmas. Christmas is a time where we enjoy ourselves with Christmas Songs, Christmas Carols, Presents, Christmas Decorations and Party. In ancient times, Christmas is a time where Jesus was born in Bethlehem or in other words, it's Jesus (christian) birthday. So, in conjunction with the Christmas celebrations, alexleow-kimmy.com would like to wish all its readers a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

In Shopping Malls, you can actually see various Christmas decorations as well as they will play Christmas songs to enrich your shopping experience. While you are shopping at the malls, you can actually enjoy the feel of Christmas and of course crazy discounts awaits you at a very affordable price. There will be a special appearance of Santa Claus awaits you to give you presents too. This makes your Christmas shopping more meaningful and interesting. Check it out there!

In churches, people celebrate Christmas by singing Christmas Carols and exchanging gifts among each others. They also wishes each other Merry Christmas & GOD Bless You! The atmosphere in churches was electrifying too as they usher or countdown for Christmas in a peaceful and joyful manner with a group of choir singing, leading the crowd at the church to sing along to usher the celebration. They also prayed for peace and happiness among their families, countries and the world too as they are too many crisis going on.

Overall, Christmas is a time to share and care among ourselves and to gather together with friends and families to chit chat among ourselves. Remember to take care of yourselves during this festive season and don't forget to be extra careful when you are on the road. Happy Holidays!

Food Hunt: Sopoong Korean Restaurant, Berjaya Times Square

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today is a week before Christmas. Me & Kimmy had visited Berjaya Times Square to shop till we drop but ended up we did not buy anything. Well, it's still worth as we could still enjoy the warmth of Christmas cheer and mood while walking on the mall. Once it reaches dinner time, ME & Kimmy had eventually looked for a restaurant to dine in and we've come into this Korean Restaurant to dine in.

We have chosen Sopoong Korean Restaurant and apparently when we reach the restaurant at about 7.00pm, the crowd had started to build up and there's still places for us to sit and we do not have to wait long. Upon as we sat down, we were immediately served with the menu and we browse through the menu, knowing that our stomach is still full after eating the potatoes earlier on so we've decided to try on the Ramen instead. Both of us browse through the menu and find lots of food to eat but too bad we're quite full. I've ordered Kimchi Ramyun (RM11.90) and a Cold Green Tea (RM3.00) while Kimmy ordered Yachae (Vegetable) Ramen (RM11.90) and a Hot Green Tea (RM2.00).

It does not take very long for the food to be served and let's go straight to the comments. As you know, Ramen is some sort like a maggi mee but it's in Korean Style where the portion is huge and big too. The Kimchi Ramen is nice considering the spicy taste as well. The soup was just nice and it's not over cooked too with the water level just nice as well. Thumbs up on this dish as well. Meanwhile for Kimmy's Yachae Ramen, the taste was just so-so and not as nice as the Kimchi Ramen. Although the water level and it's not over cooked as well but the taste isn't that impressive. It's not spicy and it's quite plain taste as well. Before that, when you order the Kinchi or Yachae Ramen, you will also be served a mini plate of kimchi, dried ikan bilis and salad as well The green tea looks normal and there's nothing special about it.

The price meanwhile is quite expensive considering we are only eating the ramen and some small portion of kimchi, dried ikan bilis and salad. I would expect the price to be slightly cheaper than RM1 or RM2. I would still recommend you to come over here to try out the food besides the ramen as they served lots of Korean food as well. Rarely you can eat Korean Food in Malaysia expect those famous like Daorae which cannot be found in a lot of places in Malaysia. Furthermore, this restaurant is owned by a purely Korean nationality too. This can be considered a budget Korean Food Restaurant and do remember to try out their set as well as it's quite worth it too but as I said again too bad both of us are full the other day. Enjoy! Food Hunt: Ireland Potato, Berjaya Times Square

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt as ME & Kimmy had stopped over at Ireland Potato, Berjaya Times Square for our tea time break. We ordered potato to satisfy our needs and we know we are hungry too as we had an early lunch just now at about 11.00am. We reached the restaurant at about 4.00pm and then the crowd is kinda a lot but fortunately we manage to find our self a place to sit.

Then we look at the menu and it took us about 10 minutes for us to decide what to eat. Finally we've decided to order 1 Mashed Potato and 1 French Fries. The Mashed Potato (RM8.80) comes with a fine Chicken thick gravy sauce inside too. For the French Fries (RM5.50 without toppings; RM8.80 or RM11.80 with toppings) served are plain fries and you can or need to add additional topping if you want and I've added the Pizza Sauce Toppings inside our plain fries. For normal toppings, you may add RM3.00 and for Cheese Toppings, you may add another RM6.00. For drinks, both of us take the F&N Zesta Canned Drinks. The F&N Zesta (RM2.00 each), a new Guarana drink that lets you do more! It'll perfectly complement your mashed potato or potato chips with its uniquely refreshing taste of Guarana Berries.

The Mashed Potato that serves together with the Chicken Gravy is nice too. The portion is pretty huge and it matches the price of RM8.80. We underestimate the portion and we found out that it matches the price we pay. Since both ME & Kimmy love potatoes, then we found out that it was just nice. For the French Fries that was served together with the Pizza Sauce Toppings, it was a little too sour but the taste is still very nice. The fries is tasty and just nice tor eat as it will not too hard nor too soft. The portion is very big as well and it looks very mouth watering too judging by its photos.

The price is pretty reasonable based on the portion that we get. We pay about RM22.00++ and some may think that it's expensive to dine in because we just get to eat potatoes only but if you're a potato lover, the big portion would satisfy you and you will simply love it. But for me, I would say it's reasonable and I would recommend you to try out their potatoes over here as it's fresh, and just nice taste potatoes served. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

Leisure: Pavilion & Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur Christmas Decorations 2011

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Christmas Decorations downtown here at Kuala Lumpur where ME & Kimmy had visited the malls around the golden triangle area and of course this year we have chosen Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Berjaya Times Square as our destination here not only for shopping but for the Christmas Decorations. Of course the best Christmas Decorations found is definitely Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and it was a little bit dissapointed with the Christmas Decorations at Berjaya Times Square as it was least beautiful with just simple decorations at the lobby.

This year, the theme for Pavilion Christmas would be Christmas Wonderland and I am amazed by the Christmas Decorations here as it's filled with Christmas Cheer as there are so many Christmas Tress decorations which light up the mall spirit to celebrate Christmas. ME & Kimmy had a breeze at the mall while listening to people singing Christmas Carols as well. I would recommend you to come over here for the Christmas Decorations which I would say the best in Kuala Lumpur at the moment. MALL DECORATIONS: 5/5

But it was otherwise for Berjaya Times Square as their Christmas Decorations this year is quite dissapointed. This year theme for them would be This Christmas! I can only see a small portion of the Christmas Decorations that was situated at the entrance of Berjaya Times Square and it has a huge and big Christmas Tree. There are also stalls selling the Christmas products and on top of each of the stalls we can actually see the mascots of Gingerbread, Santa Clause, Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph. I would not recommend you to come over here for the Christmas Decorations but still it's a great place for shopping here. MALL DECORATIONS: 2/5

You can actually see the full photos on my personal Facebook page or alexleow-kimmy.com Facebook fanpage as well. Here you are able to see part of the pictures and do Like or add me at my Facebook and that will do. Enjoy your mall hunt for Christmas Decorations. Enjoy!
