My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had planned for a simple outing and this time around we have plan to visit AEON Kepong to windows shop and in the same to watch a movie as well. We have chosen a Singaporean movie to watch meaning this is a multi-language movie comprising of English, Hokkien, Mandarin and Cantonese. This time around the movie title is called Judgement Day. Starring a bunch of the famous Singapore actor and actress mainly Henry Thia, Mark Lee, Rebecca Lim and Tender Huang, this movie is a must watch movie that truly focus on relationships as well as current issues happening. By looking at the movie title Judgement Day, you should know what they are going to talk about. Mainly about the things happening before and after Judgement Day, what they do are right are wrong.

There are 3 scenarios that appeared in this movie mainly about relationships while another 1 is change of gender (sex). As the movie goes by, since they are going to die, their wishes is to do what they wanted but knowing that the Judgement Day is near and then when you know you did not die, will you regret of what you have done? It's a very sentimental and very good moral value story which gives the audiences something to think about whether to do or not to do. It's a family based drama movie which in the end gave a lot of audiences some touching moments and in tears as well. In my opinion, this is one great movie that Director Ong Kuo Sin had give to its audiences and it does not really focus on the Judgement Day action but to before and after the Judgement Day on what should you do. And not forgetting there are also some jokes and funny scenes that would make you laugh. I would strongly recommend you to watch this movie. Bring your family to watch it as well as it's nice with the good elements mentioned above. Enjoy this movie! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had planned to go 1 Utama Shopping Centre again to shop for new shoes. In the same time to utilize our time there, we have planned to watch a movie there as well. We have selected The Midas Touch (超級經紀人) as our choice. Starring some famous Hong Kong TVB Artists such as Chapman To, Charlene Choi, Gillian Chung and Nicholas Tse, this movie set to be a funny but more into the gangster type of movie. This movie showcases the boss (Chapman To) who is a debt collector and one day while he was collecting debt, he then met this guy who are unable to pay the debt but he kept 8 pretty girls and they are for sale. So Chapman To grab this girls and turned them into singing artists and becoming a singing industry boss. Will he succeed turning the 8 famous girls into a group of talented singers? You have to watch this movie. The storyline looks to be pretty straight forward with good moral value in this movie as well. It has funny scenes to be watch but not too much either. I would recommend you to watch this movie. Not to say this movie is the best but still can be watched. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

Food Hunt: Restoran Yu Ai (友爱海鲜面之家) (PJ Branch SS2)

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt. Today ME & Kimmy had planned to have seafood mee and this time around we have chosen Restoran Yu Ai (友爱海鲜面之家) (PJ Branch SS2) for our lunch. We arrive quite late at the restaurant at around 2.30pm and the restaurant is not crowded. Only a few tables occupied and once we stepped into the restaurant, the waiter then bring us the menu.

We browse through the menu and only a few choices of seafood noodles can be found and you can also choose the type of mee you want ranging from 'Yee' Mee, 'Lai' Fun and normal mee and meehoon. For the broth, you can choose either Tom Yam or Curry. We've ordered the following:

1.) 2 bowl of Tom Yam Seafood Noodle (RM17.00 each) (Small)
2.) 2 glasses of Chinese Tea (RM1.00 each)

There's also a large portion which is priced at RM19.00 per bowl. We waited for about 5 minutes and then the food arrives. It was pretty fast actually. For our first impression, the bowl of Tom Yam Seafood Noodle looks average in portion although we ordered a small bowl and most importantly is the broth where the Tom Yam broth is very thick and it looks yummy and tasty. Without any hesitation, we try it out. They are quite generous as they gave a lot of seafood including prawns, clams, lala, cuttlefish and fish and it's fresh too. The broth is yummy and it's spicy and sour packed in great Tom Yam taste. Really recommended to try it out. I did enjoy the meal and was drinking the broth until it almost finish.

Curry Seafood Noodle (RM17.00 - Small) (RM19.00 - Large)
Tom Yam Seafood Noodle (RM17.00 - Small) (RM19.00 - Large)
The price we pay is slightly expensive and we have to pay RM36.00 for the total bill without any service charge or government tax. But what I must say is that it's worth the money as it's tasty and it really satisfy our tastebud. If you have not step into this restaurant before, kindly go and try it out and enjoy yourself. Oh yeah! DO also remember to try out their curry broth as well as I've heard it's superb as well. I will try it during my next visit. Also the headquarters is situated at Segambut. Do check it out on the internet for more information. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT) ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

Food Hunt: Tai Lei Loi Kei (澳門大利來記豬扒包) Kepong Branch

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today it's the eve of public holiday where we shall kick off Malaysia Day the next day. Of course, ME & Kimmy had search for new places to eat and we found this restaurant which is very special to both of us. Have you try out pork chop bun before? If not then you should go and try it as this famous pork chop bun arrives in Malaysia and it's from Macau since 1968. We called is Tai Lei Loi Kei (澳門大利來記豬扒包) restaurant and it has a few branches in Malaysia now including the ones at Kota Damansara, Puchong, Kota Kemuning, Lot 10, Taman Desa, Sri Petaling, Uptown Damansara & USJ Taipan. Now we try this branch at Kepong.

We arrived at the restaurant at around 7.45pm and it was crowded. A lot of people waiting for their queue while ordering the food at the counter. Unfortunately there's only 1 counter opened to cater a lot of people. Maybe they should improve on this. We waited for about 10 minutes before being served. We look at the menu and then we saw there's several sets to choose from ranging from Set A to Set G. Since this is the first time we step in, we try out the Polo Pork Chop Bun & Drinks (SET B). Besides you can also add side dishes into your bun including egg, cheese, pork luncheon, ham and etc. at an additional price between RM1.00 to RM3.00. It also comes with a drink of selection Macau Milk Tea, Ice Lemon Tea or Soft Drinks. This is what we've ordered :

1.) SET B - Polo Pork Chop Bun & Drink (Ice Lemon Tea) (RM13.90) + Cheese (RM2.00)
2.) SET B - Polo Pork Chop Bun & Drink (Ice Lemon Tea) (RM13.90) + Egg (RM1.50)
3.) Macau Curry Fish Ball (Ala Carte) (RM5.90)

Upon ordered your meal, you will then wait for your turn for your meal to be served and you will be given a number. This concept is similiar like Chatime or Bear Paw if you have tried before. I must say we waited for a while only (about 5 minutes) and the food arrives. We have to collect ourselves (self-service) when your number is called. The portion is just average and the bun does not come with any cucumber or lettuce. It's just the pork and the bun. Well, do not write them off yet. Firstly the Polo Bun is very delicious and it's my first time trying it. It has a sweet butter taste and it's really nice. I fall in love with their Polo Bun. The Pork Chop meanwhile is tasty where it was before marinated with some kind of sauce and most importantly it was very fresh indeed. Then the pork chop was then grilled into perfection and then you eat it with the bun. It was simply amazing and delicious and also one word SPECIAL. The Macau Curry Fish Ball meanwhile is nice too with the great curry sauce. If you prefer hot and spicy ones, then this might dissapoints you because this version is not spicy and it's just sweetening and in the same time you can smell the curry fragrance while you eat it. Regarding the drinks Ice Lemon Tea that we both selected, it's nice and refreshing as well. Nice! They also sell springy mee as well and it's worth a try as I've got feedback that it's very nice indeed.

Ice Lemon Tea
Macau Curry Fish Ball (RM5.90) (Ala Carte)
Polo Pork Chop Bun + Cheese + Drinks (RM15.90)
Polo Pork Chop Bun + Egg + Drinks (RM15.40)

The price we pay is quite expensive considering the portion of the bun and the pork chop. The total bill for us is around RM37.20 and there's no service charge or government tax. The portion is just average and for girls, it might be enough for you but not for the guys. I don't mind paying for the price if the food and drinks is nice and most importantly special. I must say we cannot afford to eat every week or every day but once in while is fine for us. I would strongly recommend you try out this restaurant and go and locate their branch if you are interested to try out. Now currently it's trending and each of their branch is fully packed especially during lunch and dinner hours and weekends too. Enjoy your meal! Food Hunt: Kung Fu Room (功夫館), Viva Home Mall, Cheras

Hello All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt. Both of us ME & Alan were at Viva Home Mall and we are here for some windows shopping and then to enjoy our lunch here. There's a lot of eateries at this mall but apparently we have chosen Kung Fu Room (功夫館) as our choice. This restaurant serves their signature Pan Mee and there's a lot of flavors there as well. Remember this restaurant specialty is Pan Mee and do try out their Pan Mee over here. We browse through the menu and then we have chosen the following food:

1.) Tom Yam Pan Mee (RM9.90)
2.) Pork Chop Miso Soup Pan Mee (RM9.90)
3.) White Coffee (RM3.90)
4.) Honey Green Tea (RM3.90)

There's a selection of different types of Pan Mee of your choice ranging from soft, hand made or thick Pan Mee for every bowl of Pan Mee. We waited for about 5 minutes and the food arrives despite 1-2 tables being occupied only during noon lunch hour. The drinks came first and that would be White Coffee and Honey Green Tea. The White Coffee is just so-so and nothing special. There's other restaurant which are better. The Honey Green Tea is refreshing and nice to drink too. It has a well balanced Honey & Green Tea taste and it's recommended to try. Then our main course arrives. The Tom Yam Pan Mee came first and it's quite tasty but not the best. Alan said Jojo Pan Mee is far nicer than this but this Tom Yam Pan Mee is acceptable although it's very sour. The Pork Chop Miso Soup Pan Mee is nice. The miso soup is crystal clear and tasty too. The pork chop meanwhile is nice and delicious.

White Coffee & Honey Green Tea (RM3.90 each)
Tom Yam Pan Mee (RM9.90)
Pork Chop Miso Soup Pan Mee (RM9.90)
In conclusion, the price we pay is acceptable although I must say the portion is just average. The total bill came is around RM30.00++ including a 10% service charge. I would still recommend you to come to this restaurant as a last resort if you are around Viva Home Mall and could not decide what to eat. Do not expect the best but at least a light lunch or dinner. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; ALAN RATING: 2/5
