My Comments: Today I am at GSC Berjaya Times Square to watch this movie and I tell you it really ruined my day. This movie is just a nonsense movie with a very bad reputation as well as a very bad storyline. There are a few points that in my point of view is very bad and I am extremely dissapointed with this movie. Firstly is the camera. It's very shaky and it ruined the whole movie. This director is trying to tell that he is actually doing a LIVE VERSION (Camera version) of this movie but in my opinion, something went wrong and it ruined the whole movie. Those important scenes are then cannot be seen clearly due to the shaken camera (just like Cloverfield movie) but it's not suitable for this one. Secondly, the storyline is very poorly documented. There are scenes where it's supposed to show off on how the dinosaurs killed the people but then it was just cut or it just showed something else and it misses the important part that are supposed to show. The storyline is so lame and what a way to finish off the movie. It's supposed to be an action packed movie but it turned out into a very boring movie with super less action and only a few dinosaurs scenes can be seen. WHAT A CRAP! I would strongly NOT recommend you to watch this movie as it's a total waste of movie and this is not even can be rated as a B gred movie instead and it should be a F Grade movie which meal FAIL! There's no scenes where I can accept and it was so freaking poor. I was so angry and dissapointed when I came out on the cinema and I even gave a BOO on the cinema to this stupid movie. The worst movie of all times in 2012. My rating says it all! MY RATING: 0.5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 2/5

Festival: Happy 55th Independance Day Malaysia

Happy 55th Independance Day Malaysia!

Well, the first question in my mind is what does MERDEKA means to you? For me, Merdeka means we want a good, fair and civilized government who really take care of it's own people. This is what Merdeka really means for us. By having a corrupted and unfair government with no freedom of speech, this would really effect the people so much and this is not going to happen right here in Malaysia.

Merdeka is a day to remember where our country were freed from the other nations civilizations. We were then take over by our first prime minister, Tuanku Abdul Rahman and after that the Barisan Nasional had taken over the government for like 55 years. We will always remember this day as long as the government does not misuse its powers and to put a big pressure on the people. All of us Malaysians celebrates Merdeka together in peaceful and harmony with different cultures together as we must stand put and put our hands together to tackle difficult times to ensure our country that we lived are in peace and harmony state.
This year Merdeka theme: JANJI DITEPATI

Food Hunt: Ribs King (排骨皇) Restaurant, Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today is a beautiful Sunday evening where ME & Alan had eventually planned for a dinner at Ribs King (排骨皇) Restaurant situated at Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya. According to Alan, he told alexleow-kimmy.com that this place is usually crowded most of the time including lunch and dinner (except Sunday evening) as the food here is nice and very reasonable and also it's air conditioned. So without any hesitation, we go and have a try.

We reach the restaurant at about 7.20pm and it's pretty crowded but there's still places to sit. Today (Sunday) there's less people in the restaurant due to a huge night market nearby. We sat down and were straight shown the menu. The service here are good and their staff are very friendly as well. We browse through the menu and we find there's several food to choose from ranging from Individual Sets to Order Individual Dishes. I will attached the menu for you to see as well thanks to our fellow blogger Perut Besi.

After looking at the menu, I've decided to try out the Set D which is the Honey & Soy Sauce Pork Chop (RM6.90) while Alan ordered Set J which is the Jin Dou Spare Ribs (RM7.90). We've also order a side dishes to try out and it's the Lala Omelette (RM8.00). For drinks, I've ordered a glass of Chinese Tea (RM0.60) and Alan ordered Fresh Carrot Milk (RM3.00). The food does not take very long to arrive and it only takes about 10 minutes. Surprisingly the portion of the Food is very huge and it's worth every penny that I pay. The set comes with Rice, Vegetables, Egg, Soup and Meat and it's all in one set. I was amazed by the portion.

The Set D which is the Honey & Soy Sauce Pork Chop is very nice indeed. The honey and soy sauce taste are nice and it's not so sweet too. It's just nice and most importantly is the pork where it's very fresh too and not too hard. It's easy to chew as well. The taste really suits me and I give a thumbs up towards this dish. For Alan's Set J which is the Jin Dou Spare Ribs, he told alexleow-kimmy that the taste is irresistible and nice too. This is his 3rd visit to this restaurant and seriously the food and portion does not dissapoint at all. The only side dish that we've ordered is the Lala Omelette. However, the Lala Omelette is just so so and not up to my expectations. It's not nice and not recommended to order. The Fresh Carrot Milk is really fresh and it was made by fresh carrot as well and the taste is nice too. The Chinese Tea meanwhile is good as they use high quality tea too.

Set J - Jin Dou Spare Ribs (RM7.90)

Set D: Honey & Soy Sauce Pork Chop (RM6.90)

Lala Omelette (RM8.00)

Herbal Tea (RM1.50)
For the price we pay about RM26.40 with no tax at all. I think it's very worth it especially the portion of the food and we got nothing to say but just to smile while we eat. I would strongly recommend you to come over here to try out the food over here and you'll simply love it. Do try out their set portion instead of ala carte dishes. Also don't forget to order the 2 individual sets that we've ordered as it was super nice too. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; ALAN RATING: 5/5

Food Hunt: Hainan Tea Garden, Setia City Mall, Setia Alam, Shah Alam, Selangor

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt. We are in a food marathon at the moment as we have been doing this for a couples of days now due to a long weekends and holidays. Today, we end our food marathon for the week to dine in at Hainan Tea Garden located at Setia City Mall, Setia Alam. It was already 3.00pm now and since we have a late breakfast, we take our lunch at this hour. As at 3.00pm, the restaurant is almost fully packed and the staff working there is very less today due to public holiday and even the boss and their family members helping each other that day.

Hainan Tea Cold (RM4.90)
It's not because on lunch break it's packed but it's almost tea time and that is why the restaurant is packed as well. They are having a brisk business there as well. We browse through the menu and find out that there's a lot of variety of Asian food to choose from just like Oldtown White Coffee concept. But do also bear in mind that not many food are available and I've try before to order the food I wanted to eat but then it's sold out or not available. I guess this is not the correct way as they should have serve the customers based on the menu. I was quite dissapointed but at the ended settle to eat something else. The same goes to Kimmy as well.

Honey Lemon Cold (RM5.30)
We've ordered 2 bowls of Hainan Noodles Soup (RM9.90) and for drinks, we've ordered Hainan Tea Cold (RM4.90) and Honey Lemon Cold (RM5.30). It does not take very long for the food to arrive despite the huge crowd and let's go straight to the food comments. The Hainan Noodles Soup was just so-so and it's so tasteless but luckily the soup is nice. Furthermore, there's no chilli sauce or any sauce to dip together with the mee and it was so dull. I can taste slight bitterness of the mee as well. You can just imagine that. On top of that, it comes with the chicken as well as it's suppose to be the white chicken but it's sold out so it was substituted by roasted chicken. Surprisingly, the roasted chicken is very nice and this enhances the taste of the mee that looks dull. However, I would like to give praise to its drinks. The Hainan Tea Cold is very nice and it's tasty. For you coffee lovers, you would love this coffee as it's pretty 'kaw kaw' too. The Honey Lemon Cold was also very nice indeed with a good honey taste and both the Honey and Lemon ingredients fit perfectly too. Nice!

Hainan Noodles Soup (RM9.90)
For the price we pay RM33.00 including Service Charge of 10% is really expensive. Furthermore, for the price we pay, we did not get the exact portion we want as the portion is just so-so only. The drinks are slightly overcharged as well. Just for the food and drinks, I would still recommend you to come over and try out the food but just in mind that if you are willing to pay for the price of food justified by the portion and the quality of the food as well. Luckily the drinks are nice as well as the roasted chicken was nice too and this adds more points to our meal. Enjoy! MY RATING: 3.5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 3.5/5

Lifestyle: Setia City Mall, Setia Alam, Shah Alam, Selangor

Hello All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of mall visit and today ME & Kimmy had visited Setia City Mall located at Setia Alam, Shah Alam and this is our first time visiting there. We reached there pretty early considering we are not familiar with that place and secondly, it's easier to find parking during this time. We reached the mall around 11 something in the morning and it's not crowded at all. We walked thoughout the mall and we find out it's very huge and plenty of shops there as well. It's definitely bigger than Paradigm Mall which I last visited (new mall) although Setia City Mall only has 4 floors compared to Paradigm Mall with 7 floors. Once you arrive in Setia Alam, please follow the signs to our various car park entry points, where over 2,500 spaces are available. They also have dedicated parking for disabled persons, those with prams and even those with green vehicles, where electricity charging points are provided.

Setia City Mall overall has 4 floors comprising Lower Ground, Upper Ground, Level 1 and Level 2. Every floors is huge and large and the layout is almost the same as Mid Valley Megamall but still it's smaller than Mid Valley overall. There's a lot of shops at the mall ranging from Food & Beverages to Fashion and Entertainment as well. A few shops to name to you for the F&B including Chatime, Tony's Roma, BBQ Plaza, TGI Friday's, Seoul Garden, Carl Jr. Burger, Subway, Mcdonalds, KFC, Wong Kok Char Chan Teng, Fullhouse Lifestyle & Store and many more. For fashion, there's several shops for you to choose from including Zara, Brands Outlet, Padini Concept Store, F.O.S, Cotton On, Esprit, Kitschen, Trio, Uniqlo, Hush Puppies, Nichii, Bossini and many more. For entertainment, you can find a cinema here where Golden Screen Cinemas Setia City Mall is here as well as Wangsa Bowl and Capcom Station.

You will simply enjoy this mall as it's all in one as well and it's based on an Eco-Concept Mall which focused mainly of green environment and recycling as well. Outside this mall lies a beautiful park or garden for its patrons where one can breathe fresh air and you will feel like you're at home. It's a beautiful scenery outside the mall and you will simply enjoy it. Here, organizers also can organized a concert in front of the mall where it can cater a huge crowd as well. Don't forget to catch a glimpse of a fountain here as well as it will dance by itself and there's various lighting lit at night and it's very beautiful as well. I would strongly recommend you to come over to this mall and walk around and I can tell you that you can at least spend 5-6 hours in this mall if you are really into shopping and not just walk around the mall. It's a nice mall overall with great features and amenities. Check out their website below for more information. It's way way better than Paradigm Mall. MY RATING: 5/5 (EXCELLENT) ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5 (EXCELLENT).

Food Hunt: Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant, Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today ME & Kimmy had visited Paradigm Mall to shop, watch movie and of course to explore more food over here. It was a great outings for both of us and we are very satisfy with our Sunday today. What we have for dinner? Yes, we have Japanese Food for dinner and of course we have chosen Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant located at Paradigm Mall. We reached the restaurant at about 7.30pm and the crowd started to build up and it's not full yet until it reaches 8.00pm and it's almost full house. The restaurant interior design and ambiance is really good with a great design as well as cozy ambiance.

We were pleasantly served by a bunch of waitress in a well mannered way and we simply love their customer service as they are well trained too. We were shown to our seats and we were then served with the menu as well. We browse though the menu with limited sushi choice as well as main course choices as well if compared to other Japanese Restaurants. It was nothing much to choose from and for that we've decided to try out their main course to check out and see whether their food is acceptable or not. For that, I've chosen the Kanameshi Gomoku (Chicken & Salmon Pot Rice) (RM21.90) while Kimmy ordered the Kanameshi Unagi (Eel Pot Rice) (RM21.90). For more information, kindly see the photos. For the drinks, both of us ordered a cup of Green Tea (RM3.90) (Refillable).

It does not take very long for the food to arrive and it only takes about 5 minutes but you have to wait for about 20 minutes before you can start eating this meal. This is because both of the Kanameshi needs to cook on the pot for about 20 minutes in front of your eyes and you need to spend this 20 minutes waiting either chit chatting or order other side dishes to dine in first. It was so special where during the 20 minutes wait, you can smell the aroma or fragrance that comes out from the rice pot and it's simply amazing. You can't wait to try it. This is the only main course we ordered since we are quite full after having a heavy lunch.

Unagi

Green Tea (RM3.90)
It does not dissapoints me after all the wait for about 20 minutes and the dish looks very tempting especially the Gomoku. The sticky rice is very nice and then the chicken and salmon looks very fresh and I have to admit it because it's cooking in front of your eyes. But they should be more generous as the portion of the rice is just average and not worth the price we pay. If you're hungry, by taking this alone, it's not enough for you. The Unagi is very fresh and grilled into perfection meanwhile is just nice if compared to the Gomoku. The Kanameshi Unagi has the different taste as it's also nice but as I said earlier the Gomoku is nicer.

Kanameshi Gomoku (RM21.90)

Kanameshi Unagi (RM21.90)
The price we pay is around RM56.75 including the 10% Service Charge for 2 green tea and 2 main course. As I said it's expensive and I would say if they are generous enough to give a bigger portion, then I would say it's reasonable. But the taste is very nice and there's no complaint about that. You can try it once in a while or having an important occasion celebrations and you can dine in there as well. The food I believe is nice too and do look for its Chef Recommendation at the menu and I bet it would a nice meal for you. I would recommend you to come over here to try out their food and based on the 2 main course that we've tried, it's nice. In the same time, you may ordered the same dishes as ours and give it a try as well to other dishes there as well. They also serves sushi, salmon, dessert as well as special drinks and sakae beers as well. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

____________________________________________________________

My Comments:  Today ME & Kimmy were at Paradigm Mall and we do enjoy our shopping today since it's the first day of Hari Raya. It was so crowded at Paradigm Mall. We've also visited GSC Paradigm Mall to catch a movie and we have chosen The Expandables 2 as our movie choice. It was yet another big casts movie including the famous Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Bruce Willis and many more. This movie is all about war and I bet you would love this movie if you have catch the first episode of The Expandables previously. This movie are fully packed with actions and most importantly, the jokes inside this movie is simply fantastic and it's very entertaining as well. The best jokes comes from Arnold Schwarzenegger with his famous word "I'm Back Again" in this movie which makes all of us laugh out loud at the cinemas. It's a great combination of war and comedy movie to enjoy and I can guarantee you that you will not feel bored at this movie and you will simply enjoy this amazing movie. The storyline is pretty simple without any difficult rocket science to guess and it's very clear cut. I can tell you it's way better than the first movie and you will not leave the cinema disappointing. I would strongly recommend you to watch this movie and I do hope you enjoy this movie. A war, comedy and emotional movie all combined into one in this movie. So in the end, The Expendables did exactly what the first film should have done. It's a hilarious parody of the action genre and has non-stop excitement from start to finish. MY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT) ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT)

Lifestyle: Kimmy's Birthday Cake Celebration

Happy Birthday to Kimmy.

That's what I wanted to say here as I had an enjoyable day with Kimmy as we went out for a dinner to celebrate Kimmy's birthday today. We had an enjoyable dinner (to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, The Curve) and then we came back to proceed to the cut cake ceremony.

It had been a great year once again as I manage to get to cute cake for Kimmy this year. And Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Cake is our choice this time where it looks very tempting and delicious when we passed by and the Ice Cream Cake design are very nice indeed. After eating the cake, it was very delicious especially the Ice Cream and the cake is too sweet and not so delicious for me as I prefer not so sweet cakes. Anyway, the I will giving a RATING of 4/5 for the Ice Cream Cake that we've ordered. We've buy the Mini Heart Shaped Ice Cream Cake where the Ice Cream Flavour would be Mint while the Cake is Chocolate Cake. We had an enjoyable time and I just hope that Kimmy enjoyed as well. Once again, Happy Birthday to you Kimmy. Love you forever!
