BREAKING NEWS: Quake in Sumatra, tremors in Malaysia

PETALING JAYA: A powerful earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale struck off the city of Padang off the coast of southern Sumatra at about 6.17pm on Wednesday, killing at least 21 people, trapping thousands of others and causing tremors as far away as peninsular Malaysia and Singapore. The earthquake which damaged houses, brought down bridges and buildings and caused fires in Padang, also caused people to evacuate buildings in various towns and cities in Malaysia.

The epicentre of the quake was about 481km southwest of Kuala Lumpur. At 6.38pm, a temblor measuring 5.5 in magnitude was also recorded 11km north of Padang. So far, there has been no report of the 300 Malaysian students at Andalas University in Padang being affected by the massive earthquake. Malaysian Consul-General Fauzi Omar told The Star that he has contacted the Sumatra Barat tourism chief and was told that there is no report of any Malaysians being hurt. “Well at least the tourism chief’s handset is still working. I have been told the Minangkabau airport in Padang is closed. “I am trying to leave for Padang tonight. It is a one-hour flight and by road it will take at least one day because of the bad road condition,” Fauzi said.
The Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta is despatching a team to Padang in Sumatra to assist the Consul-General in Medan in checking on the students. Padang was hardest hit by the earthquake. “We are sending a team as soon as possible and our Consul-General in Pekan Baru will also be despatched to help,” said Malaysian embassy charge d’affaires Amran Mohamad Zain. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre first issued a tsunami alert for Malaysia (George Town and Port Dickson specifically), Indonesia, India and Thailand, but cancelled it at about 7.31pm. The Malaysian Meteorological Department monitored the situation from the outset, but did not issue a tsunami warning because no significant waves were generated. In the JayaOne complex here, reports came in of shaking furniture and swaying fixtures. In KUALA LUMPUR, Mariam Anis and her colleagues on their 21st-floor office in Plaza Sentral in Jalan Sultan Ismail felt the tremors.

“The tremors were strong and I could feel the building shaking. My colleagues and I did not waste another second and ran towards the emergency stairways to make our way down from the 21st floor. “It was rather scary,” she said. Tremors were also felt in the federal administrative capital of PUTRAJAYA. Mohd Kamel Othman, press secretary to Minister Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, was in his office at the Prime Minister’s Department when he felt the tremors. “I could literally see the building moving from left to right. Even the flowerpots were shaking. I immediately rallied my colleagues to leave the building. “My minister also came out of his office as he too could feel the tremors,” he said, adding while he had experienced tremors before, the ones which on Wednesday were stronger. In GEORGE TOWN, people rushed out of several high-rise buildings in Macallum Street, Tanjung Bungah, Tanjung Tokong, Gurney Drive and the inner city of George Town. Student C.Y. Khoo, 18, said she decided to walk out from the cinema in Gurney Plaza with her friends after she felt the tremors. “I feared for my safety. My friends and I decided to get out from the cinema although we like the movie very much,” she said.

A Golden Screen Cinema spokesman said a tremor was felt at about 6.20pm for about 25 seconds. “Some moviegoers walked out of the cinema but ... generally, the situation was not that serious,” he said. Penang police chief Deputy Comm Wira Ayub Yaakob said policemen were deployed to monitor the situation. “My men were on the look-out and would have moved in to help if the need arose,” he said. Marine Operations Force Region I commander Asst Comm Zainul Abidin Hasan said all his men, both at the base and on patrol, were put on standby.
State secretary Datuk Zainal Rahim Seman said Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng was concerned about the initial tsunami alert. “The state directed all relevant departments such as the police to be on standby,” he said.

A State Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received numerous calls from anxious residents enquiring about the tremors. However, there were no reports of any injuries or of anybody trapped in lifts or buildings. In JOHOR BARU, many people rushed out of buildings and the new Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex halted operations abruptly and was evacuated for about 40mins. This caused massive congestion as thousands of motorists were returning from Singapore after office hours. Fire and Rescue Department personnel were called in to check the building before operations resumed. The lanes were later reopened and traffic policemen deployed to control traffic at the complex. Assistant administrative worker Wong Hook Tuck, 52, who was at his office at level six of Menara Plaza Pelangi, described the tremors as bad.

“The tremors started at around 6.15pm and lasted for about five minutes.“I felt very dizzy and all my colleagues and I started to evacuate the building as the fire alarm had gone off,” he said.
He said he was in shock and had thought that there was an earthquake in Malaysia. In Taman Ehsan Jaya, administrative executive Surinder Kaur said she was shocked when the people in her apartment building started running downstairs, saying that there was an earthquake.
“I stay on the second floor and I didn’t feel anything, but my neighbours warned me about the tremors and told me to quickly evacuate,” she said. She said one of her neighbours was having his dinner at the time and the whole table started to shake, spilling the soup he was eating. “All of the residents quickly assembled at the ground floor; the tremors lasted for about four minutes,” she said.

In SINGAPORE, residents from Toa Payoh, Woodlands, Bukit Timah, Simei and Kembangan in the eastern part, reported tremors shaking their buildings, The Straits Times reported.
A spokesman from National Environment Agency said it received calls from members of the public from Red Hill, Choa Chu Kang, Changi, Toa Payoh, the city area, Punggol, Sengkang, Sembawang and Pasir Ris. Kee Ya Ting of Woodlands said she thought her flat was going to collapse. “I was scared. I live on the 12th floor. I was sitting at my desk when the flat shook and I felt myself swaying from left to right. I thought my flat was going to collapse,” she told the paper. In PADANG itself, the situation looked dire. Indonesian television reported that hundreds of buildings had collapsed and many people were feared trapped under the rubble. Footage from Padang showed flattened buildings, with at least one person trapped underneath, a foot sticking out from beneath the debris, The Associated Press reported.

“The earthquake was very strong,” said Kasmiati, who lives on the coast near to the epicenter. “People ran to high ground. Houses and buildings were badly damaged.” “I was outside, so I am safe, but my children at home were injured,” she said before her cellphone went dead. The quake triggered a landslide that cut off land transport to the provincial town of Padang Pandang, which lies about 70km north of Padang, said a police officer in the town, who identified himself only as Riko. He said three cars were reportedly hit by the landslide. Padang, a sprawling low-lying city of around 900,000, was badly hit by an 8.4 magnitude quake in September 2007, when dozens of people died and several large buildings collapsed, AP said. Power in the city was reportedly cut and telecommunications networks were down or overloaded, making it difficult to get accurate information about the extent of the damage. “Many buildings are badly damaged, including hotels and mosques,” said Wandono, an official at Meteorology and Geophysic Agency in the capital, Jakarta, citing reports from residents.

He said a steep, sloping riverbank collapsed, houses had toppled and a fire had broken out in buildings on the road to Padang. Wednesday’s quake comes a day after a quake with a magnitude of between 8.0 and 8.3 in the South Pacific hurled a massive tsunami at the shores of Samoa and American Samoa, flattening villages and leaving at least 99 dead and dozens missing.
The epicenter of Wednesday’s temblor off Indonesia lies several thousand kilometres to the west, on the other side of Australia. Danger ahead Geologists have said Padang, which lies near the colliding Indo-Australian and Eurasian tectonic plates, is the most likely in the country to fall victim to the next major quake or tsunami, AFP reported. “There will be aftershocks but it’s difficult to predict whether there will be a bigger quake,” Geological Disaster Mitigation and Volcanology Centre head Surono told AFP. “There are three big volcanoes in West Sumatra -- Merapi, Talang and Tandikat. We fear that this quake might cause volcanic eruptions there,” he said. Experts have said the city is most at risk from a final segment along the zone shifting to unleash a massive amount of energy. The zone’s other segments have already cracked, including a large portion off Aceh, at the northern tip of Sumatra, which triggered the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami which killed more than 220,000 people.
Plans for evacuation shelters and improved roads to provide better escape routes from tsunami have mostly not been realised. Indonesia sits on the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” where the meeting of continental plates causes high volcanic and seismic activity. A quake on the main island of Java earlier this month killed 123 people. - Source: The Star Malaysia 30/09/09

Food Hunt: BBQ Chicken, 1 Utama

Hey folks,

We are back again with yet another edition of Food Hunt. This time, we have try out yet another restaurant in 1 Utama after finishing watching movie at GSC 1 Utama. This time, Kimmy asked me for opinion on where to eat our dinner. Finally, I have given my suggestions and Kimmy agreed to eat and Here We Go!

This time we tried the BBQ Chicken - Koreas No.1 Chicken Restaurant located at the 1 Utama New Wing. We reach there around 7.00pm and there were not much people in the restaurant. We take a look at the menu and the service was very good as the waiters are there on time to serve you. I've ordered Korean Charbroiled Fried Rice and a cup of Ice Lemon Tea. The Korean Charbroiled Fried Rice was nice as it comes with a bowl shaped rice and served with Korean Charbroiled chicken, crispy cucumber and juicy tomato. It was very nice especially the chicken as it is a grilled chicken (see pictures below). No regrets for trying that. You will love it very much! The price was also reasonable with RM9.90 (Korean Charbroiled Fried Rice) and RM3.80 for a cup of Iced Lemon Tea. MY RATING: 5/5

Kimmy ordered Olive Luxury Chicken and a cup of Ice Lemon Tea as well. About her dish, I've tried some and found it was very delicious as well. Served with fresh chicken, you can smell the fragrance on every single bit of the chicken. They use Olive Oil to cook it and it was very healthy as well. The dish is marinated right through the meat with BBQ's unique recipe and secret formula of 30 natural seasonings and cooked to golden perfection. It contains 2 pieces of chicken and it comes together with french fries and coleslaw. The price was once again very reasonable with RM14.90 and a cup of Ice Lemon Tea costs RM3.80. KIMMY RATING: 5/5

The bill came and overall it costs us about RM34.40 (after tax). It was not expensive after all. If you have the OneCard, you also can collect UPoints from this participating outlets as well. What a great deal isn't it? If you feel to drop by at One Utama, this place is recommended for you if you are up to your lunch or dinner. The seats are very comfortable and the place is nice for chatting as well. A very cool environment. This restaurant is serves HALAL food as well. Enjoy your meal! :)

__________________________________________________________

My Comments: Today is Sunday. Me & Kimmy had decided to go on movie again. Despite the crowd today, we have decided to go GSC 1 Utama to watch this movie at 4.30pm. Well, it's my first Korean movie so far that I've watch in cinemas. Let's go straight to the movie comments. This movie is not as good as it seems except the tsunami action which hits Haeundae city in Korea. The storyline was very saddening (because got people who died on the scenes) also but unfortunately it only focus on certain people only which has the relationship with each other. It doesn't really concentrate on other people as well. This movie also have a lots of critics as well whereby the movie had many talking scenes until it had shown for about 1 hour then only the action starts. It quite dull also with not many jokes. The action is only about 35 minutes and it is not suspense at all. What you can see is just normal action and the only thing I can give full marks is the graphics where the tsunami hits Haeundae only. If you are bored, then you can go for this movie but don't expect much. You will kind of regret when you watch this movie. Not as nice as expected by myself before I watch this movie. MY RATING: 3/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 3/5

Lifestyle: Same Brand, Same Model but a brand new watch.....

Time is everyday part of life. What if time stops or it never turn back time? If it does so, it will caused chaos to the world and human alike. Now how can we judge or adjust the time? Of course, with a watch, you are able to see what is the time now and able to plan your journey, work, dating etc. ahead. Today I am going to share with you about a story about my watch.

In the past 1 month, my watch joint had worn out and there's no way I can fix it except having a temporarily solution by sticking it using a 2-way tape (see picture below). I am very sad because finally this watch have to pave way for a new watch after I have wore it for about 10 years since I was primary school and guess what, it is still in good condition without any repairs. The watch is still working perfectly but not the surface of the watch whereby I have change the watch belt for several times until the joint had worn out and I brought to the shop and I was told they were unable to fix this for me. I kept on looking for the same model and for the past 1 month I have failed to find for it even in searching in mostly all major supermarkets.

Today marks the historical day for me (26th September 2009) as I've finally found the watch. Located at the city of the golden triangle, Bukit Bintang has made its name popular and the mall surrounding the area. At Sg. Wang Plaza inside a tiny shop named Syarikat Perniagaan Jam Pertama is the place where I manage to find the shop. Thanks to my brother Alan Leow who saw the watch being sold at the shop. I manage to ask the lady how much does the watch costs and she said RM45.00. Without any hesitation, I purchase the SAME BRAND & MODEL and it's a brand new watch.I am so happy for today by manage to find for my favourite watch. I like this watch because it has the most simpliest functions among other watches. It also convinient for me to wear it at home or while sleeping. Thank God I've found you CASIO F-91W (see pictures below).

Leisure: Portable Mobile Broadband Convinience

Lately in the 20th century, the internet age had been growing rapidly and guess what, you can actually enjoy so many convinience directly to your fingertips. The technology that I am going to introduce to enhance our life is the Portable USB 3G Modem together with the Celcom Broadband Prepaid pack. You can go everywhere, no matter where within Malaysia, with just a laptop and an ISP (Internet Service Provider) as well as a USB 3G Modem, you are connected to the cyberworld with just a click. Convinient isn't it?

If you are a simple user who requires a basic internet connection with only downloading some e-mail attachments, surfing some simple graphics webpages and uses the internet ONCE IN A WHILE, I can recommend to you the Celcom Broadband Prepaid pack which comes with a preloaded RM20 airtime inside (SIM PACK is RM25). More info http://www.celcom.com.my/. The speed for this package is up to 384KBPS maximum. It very worth it and you have 2 plans to choose for which is the Daily Unlimited (24 hours for RM6) or Weekly Unlimited (7 days for RM20). For other unlimited package (non prepaid), you can still use but this one is much more cheaper for those who required heavy internet usage.

If you required a portable modem instead of using a phone to connect to the Internet, I would recommend the Prolink PHS100 3G HSPDA Modem. It so simple whereby you just need to plug and play the modem into the USB device of the laptop (see picture below). Then you need to insert the Celcom Broadband Prepaid SIM CARD into the protable 3G modem and that's it. Just hit the connect button and you will be connected to the world of internet. So simple isn't it? The modem costs about RM218 and the SIM PACK cost about RM25 and below RM250, you can connect to the internet already. If you are interested, you can give it a try and see how the connection goes. The Prolink modem website is http://www.prolink2u.com/.

I have tried the speed here in Kelana Jaya and then I found out that I can get maximum speed of 384kbps for download and the loading of the pages was pretty fast. It's very good and value for money. I have choosen the Daily Unlimited to test out the connection and then it gives me maximum performance. Thumbs up to Celcom Broadband. Not only that, I also do listen to feedback that the Celcom Broadband was stable and fast as well. After I've tried it, it's very true. I have connected for about 5 hours for now and no disconnection so far. Welcome to the cyberworld with minimum hardware and software requirements as well as convinience! CELCOM BROADBAND PREPAID RATING: 5/5 ; PROLINK 3G MODEM RATING: 5/5

Food Hunt: Ajisen Ramen, 1 Utama

Today is Thursday night and I am planning to go 1 Utama to purchase the Celcom Broadband Prepaid for myself. While in 1 Utama, I was with my brother looking for another food hunt again. This time, we have decided to try out Ajisen Raman in 1 Utama. Situated in the Old Wing of 1 Utama 2nd Floor, this restaurant offer various varities of Ramen and I am sure you will enjoy it.

I have ordered Set with comes with a Ramen, Watermelon, a glass to refillable Green Tea (Hot / Cold) and it costs RM12.80 each (not included tax). My set of dish name is called Corn Ajisen Ramen. It comes with a Corn set with Ramen, Watermelon (2 pieces), a glass of refillable Green Tea (Cold). The set was nice and the mee was tasty (see pictures). As you know I like corn so once I mix to eat together with the Ramen, the fragrance was nice and tasty. You should give it a try.

Meanwhile my brother ordered Luncheon Meat Ajisen Ramen. It comes with a Luncheon Meat set with Ramen, Watermelon (2 pieces), a glass of refillable Green Tea (Cold). My brother told alexleow-kimmy.com that the food was just average and not so nice (see pictures). Maybe lately he have tried several japanese food and that makes him kinda bored with the Ramen already.

If you are in 1 Utama during the weekend perhaps, you can give it a try and in my opinion, it's not pricey as well for the Japanese food category and it's nice to eat. You will never regret while trying at the restaurant and you would hope to come back again just like me. I will come back again to eat other stuffs with Kimmy some time around. My Comments: Today is Monday and it's the 2nd Day of Hari Raya. I did not make a good plan for today and since I've got nothing to do, I have invited Alan to go and watch G-Force. I only make the decision at 12.45pm and guess what, most of the places in the Klang Valley were all full since this is a new movie. Finally, it's a nightmare again where I have to travel all the way to TGV Capsquare to catch the movie. Yesterday, I did make a trip down to catch Final Destination but today same place I watched G-Force with my brother Alan since my darling doesn't want to watch this movie. Today, the cinema was packed with all Indians and only a few percent were Chinese & Malays. I am sitting in Cinema 4 and guess what it was not full at all whilst me and Alan had a wonderful time enjoying the movie. Let's get straight to the movie comments. G-Force is an action packed movie with a lot of jokes in it. This makes this movie an enjoyable movie of all time. It also contains superb graphics and a nice moral of the story as well. If you like this type of movie especially with rats or hamsters filled with laugher and action packed as well as 3D graphics and technology, this is the perfect movie for you as it contains all in one package. It's very worth to watch this movie is cinemas without any regrets. The same comments goes to my brother Alan Leow who also said the same thing. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; ALAN RATING: 4/5

___________________________________________________________

My Comments: Today is the first day of Hari Raya (Sunday). It was a pleasant trip through because KL City roads were not jam and very smooth flowing with a few cars passing by only. Well, at night Me & Kimmy had decided to watch a movie that had been released quite some time and finally we have watched it. This time, we travel to KL to TGV Capsquare to catch The Final Destination 4. Very seldom we watch movie at night but due to tomorrow is a holiday still, we have decided to watch it. Ok, straight to the comments of this movie. We bought RM10.00 normal seat and we got an opportunity to sat on the couple seat because very few people watching this movie only. Overall, this movie was great and in thrill and suspense. My comments was because previously I did not watch any of The Final Destination 1-3, so I would say this is great as well. But I still cannot accept that in this movie, the humans was dead with blood splashing around and their flesh as well. I would give a pretty good rating as well. For Kimmy, she told alexleow-kimmy.com that the movie was good also and for her this is her first time watching this type of movie. She said it was interesting, thrilling and amazing. If you have watch The Final Destination Episode 1 to Episode 3, then Episode 4 might be boring for you as you are watching the same thing happening where nobody survived in this movie and see how they face death. If you are new, you may like it. MY RATING: 3.5 /5, KIMMY RATING: 3.5/5

Politics: DAP 'The Rocket' Newspaper

Today when I am having dinner with Kimmy at Kepong, I was amazed when this newspaper vendor came and sell newspapers. I taught he was selling those normal dailies but this time I was shocked to see The Rocket newspaper. Without any hesitation, I bought the dailies and it costs me about RM2.00. It's very worth it as you can see the news coverage which was partially being covered at the local dailies. It is also your alternative information where you can actually see what the DAP and Pakatan Rakyat had done so far for the rakyat. It will be published every month once.

In this month's edition of The Rocket newspaper, we can see a full coverage of the Teoh Beng Hock death and DAP wanted the BN government to find out who is actual murderer. It was truly shameful for the government for unable to get the murderer at the moment. While reading the newspaper, I was so angry with the BN government for unable to act wisely and suspect Beng Hock to kill himself. I hope the DAP and Pakatan Rakyat will fight till the end to find out who is real murderer. Besides, it also cover the PKFZ issues as well as some comments from the DAP leaders regarding some current issues. It's a very informative newspaper and don't be surprised that the DAP had done a great job in coming up such a newspaper for the Rakyat to let them know what is happening now.

So besides getting from the newspaper vendor (who walking around) who you will find in restaurants, you can also get in some of the newspaper sellers or shops around you in major supermarkets as well in major towns. Remember to grab a copy for yourself and start to know what is HIDDEN and COVERED! Bravo DAP & Bravo Pakatan Rakyat! We will support you! :) RATING: 5/5

News: Infrequent travellers can opt for cheaper passports

BUKIT KAYU HITAM: If you seldom travel abroad, you can now save on your passpart and pay RM100 instead of RM300 for the Alternative International Malaysian Passport.

From Oct 1, Malaysians can apply for the alternative passport which is valid for two years, announced Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein. Currently, a 32-page passport costs RM300 and a 64-page document RM600. Both are valid for five years. Presently, the alternative passport was only introduced to haj pilgrims,” the minister said after breaking fast with Immigration, Customs and Quarantine Complex officers and personnel here yesterday. “We want to expand the usage of the passport to all because there are some who only travel once in a while, such as parents who accompany their children studying abroad.”

He said the ministry decided to produce an alternative passport because it received complaints from those who seldom travelled abroad that they were forced to pay a hefty sum for a passport. He said the availability of low-fare airline flights and various affordable holiday packages encouraged more Malaysians to travel now. This alternative passport is suitable for them.‘‘The new alternative passport is also a measure taken by the ministry under the 1Malaysia concept,’’ he said. Hishammuddin added that the new alternative passports would mean additional workload for the Immigration Department but this could be resolved by incorporating new courses to improve the skills and competency of the personnel. My Comments: Finally, I got a chance ot catch Jack Neo's movie yet again and this time it's call Where Got Ghost? I watched this cinema with Kimmy at GSC Mid Valley while going there also for some walk and shopping. The movie was simply funny and great but not as good as the previous one. If you have catch Money Not Enough, you will sure remember the humour which was again being told in this movie. There are lots of funny jokes and sense of humour compared to the horror part. Taunted as Hor-medy movie which combines horror and comedy, if you love both of these, this is the movie of your perfect choice. The story line was a bit simple and there's nothing to hide and you can actually guess some scenes that are going to happen. There are scenes where it will be very scary and scared your heart away! Girls especially, please be prepared! :P Overall it was fun and I guarantee you that you won't be boring while sitting in the cinemas as you will laugh yourself all the way and then perhaps you want more too! Enjoy! RATING: 5/5

My Comments: Today is Friday and guess what I am at cinemas to catch the movie District 9 at Cineleisure Damansara. Many people will be asking, "No Need To Work ah"! Yes, indeed correct as my working day had been replaced to tomorrow (Saturday). Well, I reach Cineleisure Damansara at 10.30am and immedietely went to the cinema to buy the ticket. The ticket price was rather cheap RM6.00 as it's a early bird promotion price. In my surprise, the sales person told me that I'm the only person who bought the ticket so far. When I enter the cinema, it was indeed right where the cinema instructor told me that you can sit anywhere since nobody watching this movie. Wow! Haha! Ok. Let's get straight to the movie. Peter Jackson's movie this time was good and exciting. The storyline of this movie was very good and it elaborates perfectly to let the viewers understand the movie well. The cam was a bit shaky at times and it's pretty disgusting also. It's an story about the aliens invasion and they stay at District 9 as the evacuated, Then one of the humans were infected by the aliens liquid and he is half human and half alien. Can he survived to help the aliens evacuated or not? What will happen? Go and watch it and I also wanna say that besides having action, this movie also talks about races about aliens and humans. The big question marks lies.....will there be District 10 out later? Check it out! RATING: 4/5

News: Michael Jackson laid to rest, surrounded by stars

GLENDALE, California, Sept 3 — Michael Jackson was laid to rest today at a funeral attended by family and celebrities, more than two months after the pop star died at age 50 of a drug overdose that has been ruled a homicide. Tight security kept fans, reporters and even aircraft well away from the Forest Lawn cemetery in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendale, where Jackson will lie in the stellar company of such Hollywood icons as Walt Disney and Humphrey Bogart.
Jackson's family arrived at the cemetery more than an hour late, driven in a procession of nearly 30 limousines and cars that passed a small crowd of fans and onlookers. The singer — who sold millions of albums worldwide with hits such as “Thriller” and “Billie Jean” — died of a drug overdose on June 25 in what the Los Angeles County Coroner said was a homicide.

Officials said a cocktail of prescription medication, including the powerful anesthetic propofol and sedative lorazepam were the primary causes of his death. Police have investigated several doctors who treated Jackson, focusing on his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, who was at his bedside when he suffered a heart attack in a rented Los Angeles mansion. Murray was hired by concert promoter AEG Live in the weeks before Jackson's death to watch over him as he rehearsed for a series of comeback concerts in London, scheduled to start in July. Those concerts were to have helped the singer pay off debts and shore up his finances. Police have said they will seek criminal charges in the case but so far officials have not filed any. But scandal was likely far from the minds of the Hollywood celebrities who attended the service, including actress Elizabeth Taylor, child star Macaulay Culkin and Jackson's ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley. Jackson's final resting place is a crypt in the Grand Mausoleum, a vast, mock-Renaissance building on the stately property. His body had been kept at the cemetery since his public memorial service at a basketball arena in downtown Los Angeles on July 6. The Jackson estate will reimburse the Glendale Police Department for its expenses, estimated at up to US$150,000 (RM525,000). The city of Los Angeles absorbed the estimated US$1.4 million cost of the memorial service. — Reuters

Leisure: New RON95 Petrol From BHPetrol 95 2X

Beginning 1st September, Malaysian government had introduced the new RON to the Malaysia market. It's considered a good news also as we got more choices to choose from. Introducing RON95 to replace the RON97 and RON97 had been converted to a premium product. After the testing price RM1.75 for RON95 at selected petrol stations throughout the Klang Valley before the official launch, the RON95 fuel had raised 5 cents to the current RM1.80 and RON97 also increased 5 cents to RM2.05.

Well, the fuel consumption of RON95, it's a little fuel consuming compared to RON97. I feel that RON95 had the same power with RON97 and makes no difference. But I don't know and nobody can tell whether what is the effects on RON95 after long run towards the engine. But I believe, it's still OK after you fill in and no effects towards your engine.

Of course, I will go for BHPetrol Infiniti 95 2X. It's one of my favourite petrol so far because BHPetrol, compared to other petrol brands, have more power and pickup. It also cleanses your engine and also formulated with 800ppm of addictives. I would recommend you this petrol because it will not damage your engine. Last time I use Shell, and it always gives my engine a lot of problem and spare parts problem for my car (Proton Wira) but after I change to BHPetrol, everything seems OK up to date after 6 months and nothing had went wrong. It's a very good sign (touch wood). After all, you can collect points at BHPetrol. RM1 for 1 point. It's value for money also. If you see my Proton Wira (Green) with a Spot Me Infiniti 95 2X sticker at my car back mirror, then it's ME! The supporter of BHPetrol :) Also please visit the Facebook and join the BHPetrol group created by me and lend your support.
