My Comments: Today we went to TGV 1 Utama to catch the latest flick from Scarlett Johansson and it's called Lucy. Scarlett Johansson is famous for its sexy body and it's great capability of acting as well. This is a direct Sci-Fi movie which gives its audiences a lot to think about and of course a lot of talking point. This movie talks about human brains which we uses about 10% of our human brain to function in our daily lives but Lucy uses about 90% of her brain and what is the causes and consequences about this. This movie is a pretty complicated movie and it has a lot of talking point. Why Lucy is using 90% of it's brain? It's because she took a drug implanted into her body changing her into a superwoman as she can absorb knowledge instantaneously. What will happen to her at last? You have to watch this movie. My Comments: I am at GSC Paradigm Mall today to catch the movie The Expendables 3 and since I did watch the first and second installment, the two movies are equally nice and action packed with some brutal scenes. Now here comes the third installment and the almost the same old famous actor flooded this movie including Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson and of course the new faces that appeared in this movie including Antonio Banderas, Victor Ortiz, Robert Davi, Kellan Lutz and Ronda Rousey. The new faces did a great job as supporting actors/actress against the famous actor and it did impress me.

For me this movie gives me a lot of action packed scenes and of course a lot of good jokes for us to laugh at as well. The storyline is very clear cut as the good guy hit back at the bad guy once again. If you remembered Stonebanks who co-founded The Expendables with Barney in the first installment and he appeared in the third installment and this time trying to end The Expendables. Barney lead the charge of defending The Expendables and this movie was equally impressive than the first and second installment. It was running for about 120 minutes and I would promise you that this movie is not boring at all and it bring you full of jokes and action packed excitement. 

 

I would strongly recommend you to watch this movie and please be informed that this movie is rated 18SG and it's suitable to watch if you're 18 and above. This time the movie does not contain any brutality scenes and it's just normal shooting and killing scenes. Enjoy the movie. MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

My Comments:  Today we have a planned movie outing and we are anticipated with another Marvel comic movie called Guardians Of The Galaxy. This movie features a lot of superheroes and in the same time the movie concept is just like the second Star Wars or Star Trek. It was a truly great and funny movie to catch and my expectation is low towards this movie but a few days before I am going to watch this movie, good comments started to pour in as I read reviews and comments and it says superb. Then I started to keep my expectation high and once I finished this movie, I found it simply amazing. Director James Gunn have done well by creating this masterpiece and I believe it had turned into great returns. With casts like Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana, this movie is set to be another Marvel Center Stage with marvelous fireworks. 

The story talks about the guardians who guarded the galaxy and they are fighting each other in order to control the orb. The orb is a strong and powerful tool and those who earned it will be able to control and in the same time destroy the galaxy as well. It will be the bad guy named Ronan who wanted to steal the orb and control the galaxy by destroying the tribes and troops on the planet of Xandar. Can he do it or can the U.S. pilot named Peter Quill (also known as Star-Lord) stopped this mess together with his friends (Guardian Of The Galaxy)? This movie contains lots of action and jokes and it was evenly between these two. The most noticeable character in this movie is definitely the Groot. The Groot is the only mighty tree in this movie who only says "I AM GROOT" & "WE ARE GROOT" for the entire movie until the end. 

The movie is easy to understand and it also contains some heartbreaking moments too. It's easy to understand and kids will simply love this movie as well. I can tell you that this movie is not boring at all and you will be always awake. I would strongly recommend you to watch this movie with your whole family, couples or even yourself (alone) as this movie is a highly anticipated movie for Marvel Comic lovers besides the famous Captain America, Thor and so on. This is a special and the first space movie that Marvel Comic had done before and they have done successfully well. And don't forget after you finish the movie, do not leave your seats as there's an end scene credit will be shown after the ending credits being shown and it has some connection with Howard The Duck. My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy spend our extended pre-holidays session for yet another movie and today we watch this movie at GSC Tropicana City Mall. This movie is called the Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. This movie features the apes and human kind where both are struggling to maintain the good relationships in between and then it has become a war and an even bigger war in future. The apes blamed the human kind where they were then being experimented and the apes suffered from it. Meanwhile the apes would wanted to seek revenge and then to do the same to human kind. With this it would spark a cold war between the apes and humans. The storyline is easy to understand and at times it was quite boring until the action appears. The casts meanwhile are just average except Andy Serkis who is quite a famous actor. 

 

I would say this movie gives its audiences a lot of grieves and of course you need to prepare tissue papers. There are a lot of sad and touching moments that you can see especially the apes and when the apes reacted with human kind as well. It was a good balanced movie between love, fight and sorrow and it was watchable at the end of 130 minutes. Kids will love this but still it's under parental guidance as well. I would recommend you to watch this movie although it's little boring at times but the movie still manage to live up the expectations with some real battle between the apes and human kind. My Comments: Finally the long awaited Transformers movie are in town once again and this time we have chosen GSC Tropicana City Mall as our destination to catch Transformers movie. This is the 4th installment where the previous installment was just fine and nothing so special about it except it's action packed. This time around Age Of Extinction is the 4th installment episode and will it be the same as the 3rd or better?  Is Micheal Bay running out of ideas or he manage to create something special on the 4th installment? Let's see.

The answer is almost the same. This movie is action packed and it's rich in robots fighting between the Autobots and Decepticons. The storyline meanwhile is a bit crappy and it's not so attractive as per 3rd installment. If you watch in 3D then this is definitely the movie for you as it contains a lot of close ups scenes that would blown your mind off. The Autobots and Decepticons are all vanished from the scenes until scientist start studying the making of them to rule the world. But then the scientist made a mistake and then everything turned into a chaos where the Autobots have to revive and then to save human kind again. The battle between Autobots and Decepticons continues and it was an explosive approximately 2 hours plus of action packed scenes and you will simply love it too. Will Decepticons defeated and continue to the next installment? You must checked it out at cinemas near you. I would still recommend you to watch this movie with your whole family and kids would love this one but the storyline is a bit difficult for them to understand. My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy were at TGV 1 Utama for shopping and in the same time to catch a movie of our choice as well. We have chosen Maleficent as our choice and let's go straight to the movie preview. Maleficent is a great story which talk about adventure and fantasy and with a strong cast like Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning and Sam Riley, this movie is set to bring you some great adventure with good storyline with some outstanding graphics and good moral value of the story. It started off slowly but then it lasted for about 15 minutes and later than that, the movie started to build up and it's becoming more interesting. At almost the end of the movie, movie goers may be in tears as there are touching scenes which really makes you cry too. This movie is just like a remake version of Alice In Wonderland but I guess this one is as good as Alice In Wonderland. This movie is very suitable to watch by all walks of life but of course kids would enjoy this more. If you have not watch this movie, do catch it at the nearest cinema near you and I guess you will love it. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had a planned outing to catch this mouth watering epic action adventure movie called Godzilla. We catch this movie at TGV 1 Utama today. This movie talks about the battle between giant Godzilla and M.U.T.O ("Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism") where MUTO is actually a parasitic kaiju which is a multi legged monster. M.U.T.O. are actively drawn to sources of man-made radiation and to survive they need to eat the radiation. This movie actually talk about the battle of monsters and to show how the awe-inspiring Godzilla rises to restore balance as humanity stands defenseless. 

 

The graphics in this movie are superb and wonderful and if you watch this in 3D, then probably it's very suspense as well. The storyline is pretty simple and straight to the point and in my opinion, it's suitable for the kids to watch. It's not boring and you would like to find out what's going on and the battle continues but of course do not compare with Pacific Rim which Pacific Rim has more action compared to this one. From director Gareth Edwards, he has shown great enthusiasm to ensure that this movie does not only fight between human and monsters but monsters to monsters at least to make it real and to show that humanity could not overcome those mighty monsters in reality. 

 

Overall, it was a great suspense and action packed movie to catch for the whole family and I would recommend you to watch this movie. It's not boring from the start till the end of the movie. My Comments: Finally another Marvel Comic movie has arrives and this time around it's Captain America is back in action with the latest flick called The Winter Soldier. This time around we can see Nick Fury in action which we seldom see him in other superheroes movies. This movie is as powerful as the first episode and you must watch the first episode in order to catch up with the this episode as it's linked together. The journey begins where someone try to take control over S.H.I.E.L.D and then to damage the whole world. Captain America's job is to stop them. The movie started off very slow and then started to pick up after 30 minutes later. The movie contains medium range of action but the storyline is very complicated if you missed the first episode as said earlier. If you understand these complications, then you will find this movie a perfect storyline that director Anthony Russo and John Russo has ever directed. My Comments: It's school holidays yet again and today ME & Kimmy were at Paradigm Mall and in the same time to watch movie. We have chosen this animation movie called Mr. Peabody and Sherman. This story talks about a smartest talking dog named Peabody who adopted a human child called Sherman and their journey using time machine and in a race to repair history – and save the future. This movie is definitely suitable for kids to watch and they sure love it. In this animation movie, it has a lot of fun filled action and you will not find it bored especially the adults whose can laugh while watching this movie. This storyline is good and straight to the point. There are plenty of jokes that would make you laugh too. Since it's an animation movie especially for kids, do not expect or take this movie too seriously and just take this as an entertainment for the whole family. It's suitable for couples as well and I'm sure your girlfriend loves this movie too especially girls who love dogs. It's a recommended movie to watch for all walks of life. Enjoy! My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy are both at 1 Utama to catch a movie as I am a big fan of Wayne Lai of TVB. We purposely choose this movie and we watch it at GSC 1 Utama. This movie starring the famous TVB actor Wayne Lai as well as Singaporean Henry Thia, Ah Nam and Malaysian Singer Karen Kong. This is a low budget movie to be exact and then I do not put high expectation on this movie. It talks about beggars who lived in the streets of Penang and how they survived and to tackle the Ah Long's in the street. The storyline is draggy and not up to the expectations. Personally I think only Wayne Lai did a very job in acting while others did not perform up to expectations. The movie was rather boring and not much action can be seen. I nearly slept while watching this movie but at least my idol Wayne Lai did cheer me up and without him in this movie, it would be a rubbish movie. I would not recommend you to watch this movie as it's boring and if you are a Wayne Lai fans, then you can have an option to support your idol. Enjoy! MY RATING: 3/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 3.5/5

My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had visited MBO Cinema at Kepong Village Mall to catch yet another movie of Chinese New Year and it's our 3rd day movie marathon in a row. This time around we have chosen to watch Huat Ah! Huat Ah! Huat! movie starring our very own local superstar Ah Niu and Joyce Cheng from Hong Kong. I walked into the cinema without any high expectations but it turned out to be slightly otherwise. I was amazed with this movie with how this movie can turned into a high profile drama with laughter, joy, action as well as some touching scenes as well. The script written by Tan Boon Huat was amazing it not only it's suitable for younger generations but it's also suitable for the older generations as well. It was a truly heart warming Malaysian movie that is suitable for the whole family. Aniu, who managed to perform all out in this movie with his acting skills impressed me with his silly character as well as his ability in this movie. 

For Joyce Cheng, there's not much that we could see from her in this movie as she's quite quiet in this movie with slightly less appearance than Aniu. Aniu role was also supported by our experience HVD actor and actress who is very experienced and was involved in our local drama scenes in the 90's. Do also check out Aniu friends in this movie who is a bunch of children which is very good in acting and does all the credit and would make the children laugh too. Overall, it's a great Chinese New Year film that you must watch with your family as well. Strongly recommended. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT)

My Comments:  It was a great weekend for ME & Kimmy as we had chosen Cathay Cineplex at Damansara for our movie. We have selected yet another Chinese New Year movie of our choice this time and without any hesitation, we've watched the movie Hello Babies. This movie talks about babies where 2 fathers (Eric Tsang & Raymond Wong) would desperately wanted a baby from their son and his in law. They would use several tactics to get their son and in laws to have babies and during their journey, there are so many laughter and jokes that you can actually looking forward into. The storyline is very simple and straight forward yet there's no guessing in this movie. The casts were all experience and strong and the casts like Raymond Wong, Eric Tsang, Fiona Sit, Sandra Ng and Ronald Cheng already taken centre stage in this movie and you should not missed it. I would not say it's the best as almost every Chinese New Year (Hong Kong Edition) looks the same way but at least we do have the best laughter and joy. Also look out into some scenes that were shot in Ipoh (Foh San Dim Sum & Gaharu Tea Plantation) and the view was beautiful too. Synopsis:

To realise a promise of young age, Uncle Chuan decided to invite all his 11 ex-primary classmates that are now located all over Malaysia to attend the daughter’s wedding. He has planned a route map to visit all these ex-classmates in order to hand them the invitation card in person. Benji has agreed with the task but insisted to travel in his motorcycle. Without much choice, the journey of a long distance road travel of Uncle Chuan accompanied by Benji kicked started unwillingly.

My Comments: I was at GSC Tropicana City Mall to catch our 2nd Chinese New Year film today and also in line to visit the Chinese New Year Decorations over there as well. This movie is the most highly anticipated movie as many of the bloggers and my friends gave a great review towards this movie. They said that this movie is a truly Malaysian local movie which gives its audiences a lot of moral values in which we must start practice to respect the older people. This movie concentrates on a drama type which is very good and well written script. Directed by one of our local best director Chiu Keng Guan which in previous years had done superbly well on the movie Tiger Wohoo and The Great Day which features tonnes of Astro Presenters. He is back again and this time with a stronger storyline and also there's some jokes that you can laugh at as well. If you notice this time, in this movie there's a 95% of new actor/actress who did not acted before are featured in this movie and it's a brave step taken by Director Chiu and guess what it paid off handsomely. 

 

Overall, the actor and actress like Ben Andrew Pfeiffer, Lee Sai Peng, Joanne Yew Hong Im did a very great job and it's a huge success for all of them. A loud of applause for them. This movie is filmed in many states including Penang, Ipoh, Melaka, N.Sembilan and Johor and the best scenes comes from Cameron Highlands where Director Chiu had taken a great view there and I'm impressed too. As ME & Kimmy had watched this movie and we are in tears as this movie is truly wonderful in every aspects and I do love Uncle Chuan (Lee Sai Peng) as he did a very great job since his first time acting as in this movie he is a funny man when he jokes and when he's serious he meant serious! Why wait? I would strongly recommend you to watch this movie and it's suitable for the whole family to watch it. One of the best Chinese New Year local production that you must watch. Enjoy! My Comments:  I am back again for my first Chinese New Year movie of the year 2014 and I kicked off with this famous Astro Local Comedy Show called Ah Beng watched at TGV 1 Utama. Now besides Ah Beng being showed at Astro, you can also see him on cinema screen as usual. This is the 4th installment of Ah Beng movie and this year would be better than last year. If you remembered last year where ME & Kimmy gave a bad review on the previous year movie but this year it has a tremendous improvement and it's back to action once again.

Overall, the same old plot accompanied by some fresh faces in Ah Beng movie installment and it gives positive results to this movie. The movie gave its audiences lots of laughter and most importantly the storyline is good and not crappy. The most notable actor besides Ah Beng would be Ah Hian (Jeff Chin) which almost grab the most attention on this movie with his jokes and credibility. The combination of Ah Beng and Ah Hian paid handsomely where both of them give its audiences some good laugh and not forgetting some lovely action which gives this movie more 'kick'. You want jokes, romance and even action can be found in this movie. I would say Ah Beng 2014 movie is not like the old 2013 installment anymore and this year would be much more better.

No regrets! This is what I want to say if the old installment still hunts you in your mind. Do give Ah Beng: Mission Impossible another chance and you have no regrets watching this movie. At least I do laugh almost every minute throughout the movie and I did enjoyed it. I set low expectation but it gave me reverse results. A good and lovely Chinese New Year movie to kick start. Enjoy! My Comments: Today we went to GSC at Paradigm Mall to catch the last movie before Christmas and yes, this movie has the Christmas feel and it would definitely cheer you up during the festive season.It's a brand new movie from Disney Animation movie called Frozen. This movie talks about a princess who has special abilities to froze the entire kingdom and how she could overcome her spell and do good and bad to the kingdom. The storyline is good and there are a few elements that you would notice when you see this movie. The first element would be the theme song where there are lots of beautiful and great themes and music that was sang by the Anna (voice of Kristen Bell / Liyana Jasmay) & Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel) and the songs were so wonderful and perfectly fit the movie as well. 

 

The second element would be the beautiful graphics which Disney had improved tremendously. It's recommended for you to watch in 3D format. The last element would be the joy and some sorrow scenes which will make you laugh off your seats as well as make you cry as well. The storyline is great and easy to understand and it's very suitable for the whole family especially the kids will love it. My Comments: It was almost the end of the year and to end the year with a bang this movie finally shows on the cinemas near you and this movie will give it's audiences a great ending to a perfect year. Yes! It's the 2nd installment of the J.R.R Tolkien books which was then transform into a great movie masterpiece by the famous movie director Peter Jackson. Introducing the movie The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug. This movie continues from the 1st installment that was shown a year ago. Starring the famous actors such as Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis and many more where this movie is set to be one of the best adventure movie of all times. This time around, this movie talks about Bilbo and the dwafts journey to Erebor Mountains to find and recapture the gold that was then stolen by the fiery dragon. 

As usual, during their journey, they met tonnes of hiccups and strange creatures that wants to stop them and the Orcs who wanted to kill them as well. The storyline was superb and brilliant and it's very well documented. I can tell you that you won't be bored while watching this movie and you will fully concentrate until the end and you've also won't feel that you have actually watch a 161 minutes movie and you want for more. Everything including the graphics, storyline and the story itself speaks a thousand words and it's simply brilliant. I couldn't have asked for more. If you've watch the Lord Of The Rings installment before, then this movie is absolutely suitable for you and the theme is almost the same. I would say that you MUST watch this movie no matter what and do stay tuned for the 3rd and final installment coming up next year. It's one of the most wanted and best movie of the year 2013. My Comments: It was a great day as today ME & Kimmy had visit GSC Tropicana City Mall to purposely catch one of the most anticipated movie of the year 2013. Introducing Thor The Dark World. Marvel comics are back once again and my expectations is high in this movie. Starring a lot of famous actor and actress in there and the most notable ones are Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Natalie Portman (Jane) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki). The storyline was perfect and great and it was a twist and turn strategy used in this movie. It was quite boring for the first 20 minutes and it started to pick up after that all the way till the end of this movie. The battle is between Asgard and an ancient race led by Malekith. The battle then continues to earth where it involves a human named Jane and it is Thor's girlfriend. It was a great battle between Thor and Malekith and you guess who will win? This movie contains a few elements combined including jokes, action, love as well as sad scenes which could make you cry. In certain times, this movie is funny too. I would strongly recommend you to watch this movie even if you're not a big fan of Marvel as this is a great and nearly to perfection Superhero movie. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had a date to watch a movie and we have selected this movie  Cloudy Of A Chance Of Meatball 2 as our movie choice. We watched it at TGV Cinema at 1 Utama as in the same time we plan to do some shopping back there. It was a Halloween Week and of course this movie is mostly suitable to watch in conjunction with this as well. If you have watch the first episode, this episode promises to be more exciting. The first episode touches more on meatballs but in the 2nd episode, it touches mostly on food and you can see many foods that can talk and to name a few including watermelon, sushi's, burgers, Tacos, french fries, berry's and many more. It was a great, fun and thrilling fantasy animation movies that keeps us laughing and in the same time gave it's audiences an great 95 minutes of action and jokes all the way. 
 

The storyline was great and easy to understand as well. In my opinion, I think this movie is just fun to watch and at the end of the movie, you could actually see some sad scenes which could make you in tears. The storylines touches on the young scientist Flint Lockwood whose ambition is to be a great scientist and then he followed the wrong senior scientist that would harm those talking food. Can he save those talking food? You have to stay tuned and go to watch this movie. I will definitely recommend you to watch this movie and do bring your kids or your girl/boy friend to watch this movie as they are going to love this. Not forgetting this movie is also suitable for the whole family to watch as well. My Comments: Again we visited the cinema yet again and this time this week after we are back from our mini trip at Ipoh. This time around, due to many recommendations from this movie, we've decided to watch it. It's a movie called Gravity (in 3D) starring only 2 famous actors which is Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. This movie talks about survival of outer space and how they overcome it. To make this movie more special, this movie only comprises of 2 actors throughout the 90 minutes. Let's go straight to the movie comments. This movie is very special and recommended you to watch in 3D as some claimed that if you are watching 3D, you can actually see the beautiful outer space and it looks very real and secondly nobody had ever filmed this type of movie before and director Alfonso Cuarón had done it. For me I think it's just normal maybe because I did not watch it in the IMAX cinema and the visual is just normal. The storyline is good but it's a little boring in the first 30 minutes before the momentum and action starts to build up after that till the end. It's a very special movie with special scenes and effects and if you check out on IMDB or other blogs, they give good reviews on its 3D and recommend you to watch it. So, I would recommend you to watch this movie as well as I think it's still good in terms of storyline and its 3D effects. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had planned for a simple outing and this time around we have plan to visit AEON Kepong to windows shop and in the same to watch a movie as well. We have chosen a Singaporean movie to watch meaning this is a multi-language movie comprising of English, Hokkien, Mandarin and Cantonese. This time around the movie title is called Judgement Day. Starring a bunch of the famous Singapore actor and actress mainly Henry Thia, Mark Lee, Rebecca Lim and Tender Huang, this movie is a must watch movie that truly focus on relationships as well as current issues happening. By looking at the movie title Judgement Day, you should know what they are going to talk about. Mainly about the things happening before and after Judgement Day, what they do are right are wrong. 

There are 3 scenarios that appeared in this movie mainly about relationships while another 1 is change of gender (sex). As the movie goes by, since they are going to die, their wishes is to do what they wanted but knowing that the Judgement Day is near and then when you know you did not die, will you regret of what you have done? It's a very sentimental and very good moral value story which gives the audiences something to think about whether to do or not to do. It's a family based drama movie which in the end gave a lot of audiences some touching moments and in tears as well. In my opinion, this is one great movie that Director Ong Kuo Sin had give to its audiences and it does not really focus on the Judgement Day action but to before and after the Judgement Day on what should you do. And not forgetting there are also some jokes and funny scenes that would make you laugh. I would strongly recommend you to watch this movie.
