Lifestyle: Casio G-Shock Watch

Hi Folks,

Finally I have bought myself a new watch after my old watch wrist band had broken and eventually the timekeeper told me that for me to repair the wrist band of the watch costs above RM100 and it's better to get a new watch rather than repairing. So, since buying a new watch is already in my planning, I've start searching for the watch already and of course Casio is still my all time favourite. I went to Parkson 1 Utama to purchase this watch and that's the very last stock that they have and if you wanted to go and find there, you may cancel your journey there. If you love this watch, you may look somewhere else as they may sell it.

I have purchase Casio G-Shock Watch model G-301BR and this model is an analog-digital watch. The design of this watch was not bad at all and I love the design. You may see the photos for more information. I would recommend you to get this watch if you are a big fan of Casio and the most important thing is you would love ana-digi watches as well. The price of this watch is around RM389.00 and I bought for RM350.00 after 10% discount. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5

Food Hunt: Kenny Rogers Roasters, Berjaya Times Square

Hello folks,

Welcome back to yet another edition of the Food Hunt where ME & Kimmy were at Berjaya Times Square today to catch the 3D movie at GSC Maxx. Upon stepping out from the cinema, we walk around for a while before settling down for dinner. We had chosen Kenny Rogers Roasters, Berjaya Times Square as our destination of food for today.

We reach the restaurant at about 7.30pm and the restaurant had been filled with a large crowd already. But we managed to find a seat for ourselves as well and immedietely we were served. This time around I've ordered BBQ 1/4 Chicken Meal (RM16.90) that comes with 3 side dishes including Coleslaw, BBQ Baked Beans and Golden Corn and Carrot. It also comes with the chocolate muffin as well. For Kimmy, she ordered Black Pepper 1/4 Chicken Meal (RM15.90) that also comes with 3 side dishes including Potato Wedges, Garden Salad & Fruits Salad. She ordered Vanilla muffin. For drinks, we just go for Iced Water.

The portion of the food were overall small compared to the one we try at Tropicana City Mall previously. But the food quality is still there where it's still very delicious too. Both of the set we've ordered are very nice and recommended to consume. In the same time, it's much more cheaper than Nando's as well. The bill came and it's about RM37.70 after tax and we are happy with the food quality. I would say the price is moderate and not so expensive as it seems to be. So why not come on over to try it! Enjoy! :) MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

*Food & Drinks rating are based on the food & drinks we've ordered and not overall food & drinks.

Leisure: GSC Maxx, Level 10 Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur

Hi All,

Finally Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) had open yet another chain of Cinemas in the Klang Valley and claimed that it's the largest 2D and 3D halls in Malaysia and it's true. Today I've visited the cinema and of course not only it serves to be the best 3D cinemas in Malaysia but in the same time, the 3D technology was rather great and perfect as I was very amazed and felt unbelievable with the technology. I was very satisfied with the ticket price that I've paid (RM20.00) with the returned I get which is the SATISFACTORY word. Congratulations to GSC Maxx for introduced this great technology which enables its patrons to enjoy the high quality 3D with greater satisfaction. No doubt, I will visit this cinemas again in future and I will not go for other Normall Halls 3D except GSC Maxx. Very recommended to all of you. Do try it out and there's no regrets! My Comments: Welcome back to yet another beautiful weekend where we had our gathering last night and we had a great time over there. Today, ME & Kimmy had continue our journey and of course we had chosen to try out the new cinema introduced by GSC which is the GSC Maxx located at the 10th Floor, Berjaya Times Square. Eventually, this cinema are showing 2D & 3D only and it will be the largest 2D & 3D cinemas in Malaysia. We had watched this movie in Digital 3D and the ticket for the 3D shows would be RM20.00 per person. Before I go into the movie review, let me comment on the GSC Maxx cinemas first. I was very amazed by the cinema as the 3D was totally awesome and great, You can see the pictures looks very real and more closer compared you watch 3D in nornal cinema halls. The 3D spectacles they are using are very new and it's a brand new technology compared to the older ones used in normal halls. I was very amazed where I could not believe how great GSC Maxx offered the 3D in a very high quality as ME & Kimmy vowed to come back again for more 3D movies in future. You should try it out! Very recommended! MY 3D RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

Alright, secondly is the movie rating. Rapunzel is an animated movie and it was a great movie to catch for all walks of ages. It talks about how Rapunzel was kidnapped by the old lady and how she fall in love with a guy and how she survive from a cursed. This movie contains a strong elements of romance and laughter as well that makes your 3D movie experience more fun and enjoyable. The graphics meanwhile was great and amazing and it's truly capable for being one of the best 3D movies ever made by Walt Disney! It's an adventure for Rapunzel until the end and I can tell you that this movie can make you cry in times and it was so touching in times too. This is what Walt Disney Pictures has to offer for its patrons this time. I would recommend you to watch this movie and if you are couples, this movie is just perfect for you too. Also a truly great film for your family as well and you should enjoy it! The storyline of this movie is not complicated and it's very easy to understand as well. No regrets to watch this movie and a must watch great tale that cannot be missed. MY MOVIE RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

Gathering & Food: Poco Homemade Cafe & Atelier, Bangsar

Hello Folks,

Welcome back to yet another edition of the gathering & food as finally we have get to meet each other again. We would like to thank our beloved organizer Yen Peng for making this gathering a success. It has been a while since we met and if I'm not mistaken, the last gathering would be on April 2010 and it had been for the past 7 months. Of course we miss each other very much and it would be a wonderful time to call upon a gathering to meet up again. Our organizer Yen Peng had chosen Poco Homemade Cafe & Atelier as our gathering venue as this place was environmental cozy and nice too.

Today, we've got 12 people who attended this gathering and I would say this would be a great turnout for this year and I would like to say bravo to you guys and girls who attended this gathering including ME, Kimmy, Kuek Yen Sim, Yen Peng (Organizer), May Low, Stanley Choo, Mun Sai Kit, Jason Ng, Kevin Kong, Steve Chai, Benjamin Kuan and Wong Yen Nee. It had been a while as well as we have a big turnout as we understand that we have not met each other for quite some time. We did have a great time over there chit chatting as we laugh and smile throughout the gathering.

The gathering started at about 6.00pm and once we reached there, the place had been booked by 2 groups where one of the group were us and another group was there to celebrate birthday among their group friends. Today, the restaurant was just reserved to both our 2 groups and we did have a great time there. Once we sat down, we looked at the menu and it contains limited choices and not many choices to choose from and it mainly contains mostly Japanese Food. I've ordered Chicken Katsu Don (RM12.80) together with Vanilla with Red Bean drink (RM6.00) as my drinks well. For Kimmy, she ordered Chicken Katsu Curry Rice (RM14.80) with Soya Green Tea (Hot) (RM5.00). We've also ordered side dishes and it was shared by us together with Yen Sim and Yen Peng such as Chicken Roll (RM11.80) and the Homemade Tofu Cake (RM8.00 per piece).

The Chicken Katsu Don that I've ordered was acceptable and nothing special about it. Besides, the rice was a bit sticky and was too dried as well and makes my appetite almost gone as well. The more I ate, the more 'geli' I felt and luckily I get to get some sauce from Kimmy's dish. The Vanilla with Red Bean drink meanwhile was great and nice to drink as it was very special. You should try this one. For Kimmy's Chicken Katsu Curry Rice, she told alexleow-kimmy.com that the dish was just average. The rice was very sticky and most importantly, the sauce was like a maggi flavoured taste sauce and it was not nice. I've tried some and found out that it was still acceptable but still not up to my expectations as well. The Soya Green Tea was nice and special too but the portion was too small for the price she paid. For the Chicken Roll, it was nice and best consume with the Mayonnaise that was prepared together with the dish as well. For the Homemade Tofu Cake, I cannot accept especially the taste was not so nice as it contains the sour flavour that came out from the tofu. The outlook was very nice but not the inside as it was rather dissapointing as well. It contains 3 layers and the top layer would be the tofu, followed by the cake and at the bottom portion contains the mini biscuit.

For other members that ordered different dishes, they told alexleow-kimmy.com that it was overall average and not so nice. Some ordered Miso Soba, Unagi Don, Fried Ebi etc. and overall it was just average. The bill came and it's around RM250++ for the amount of 12 person where some ordered side dishes as well. The overall price was reasonable for me but for some individual items are rather expensive as well and some items are cheap. For both of us, with the amount of food we've ordered it costs us about RM45.00 for both and I would say reasonable too. If you love an environmental cozy and nice restaurant, this is the place for you to enjoy but if you are here for food, you will feel a little dissapointed as it was not up to our expectations. We've got some great photos to share with you but with limited photos over here. Do not worry as you can access those full photos at my Facebook! Enjoy! MY RATING: 3.5/5; KIMMY RATING: 3/5 ; AVERAGE MEMBERS RATING: 3/5

My Comments: Just moments before this movie is going to brought offline from the cinema as it had been aired for almost 3 weeks and the rating was somehow acceptable. Me & Kimmy had finally get a chance to watch this movie as GSC 1 Utama as this movie is only shown in a few places left. This movie talks about the ancient mummy and guess what, this movie is not a horror movie and it was just a comedy movie. If you like to watch some horror mummy movie, then definately this is not for you and also this is the first time I saw a funny mummy movie and it's something like Scary Movie but this one sounds a little more logic compared to Scary Movie. This is a French Based English movie and overall it was acceptable. The storyline meanwhile was unbelievable Adele was searching for a mummy at the Egyptian tomb to look for a Doctor mummy to heal her sister and trying to bring the Doctor Mummy into life. It looks unacceptable but somehow you would like to see what happen's next? Well, it was too easy to guess about the ending of the storyline and nothing is so complicated about this movie. If you just want some laughs just before the exams or stress, this movie will definately cheer you up at least for a while but it really doesn't so make sense. I would recommend you to watch this movie IF you are free and nothing to do or you would like some joking and some sort of adventurous scenes, this movie suits you most and do not expect so much about the quality of this movie. MY RATING: 3/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 3/5

Lifestyle: P1 WIMAX Wiggy

Hi All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of the P1 WIMAX Wiggy where today I've subscribe their service at one of the P1 authorized dealer at Giant Kelana Jaya. Upon signing up, the activation was pretty fast (approximately 2 hours) but you need to pay RM100 as upfront payment. If you do not like their service, you can return the modem at P1 Headquarters within 7 Days Cooling period and you can have a full refund of RM100.

Once I tried to connect (in Kelana Jaya) it was very dissapointing. It took me about 5-6 times to get connected and sometimes no avail as well. The main problem already arise where I find it very hard to connect to their network although it can detect 3 bars. Another thing is once connected it can hardly browse the websites as well. I tried to connect Yahoo! and sometimes it took me about 5-10 minutes to load the page and guess what, I would say the lousiest broadband provider so far I've encountered.

Last but not least, I would not recommend you to take the P1 WIMAX Wiggy if you are in Kelana Jaya because the service sucks big time as you can hardly connect to their network and hardly do a simple browsing as well. If you manage to connect, you can get great speeds for the first 10 minutes but after that it disconnects by itself and it was rather dissapointing. Not a recommended product to use in Kelana Jaya! For more information, please visit P1 website at http://www.p1.com.my/. MY RATING: 2/5

Annoucement: Bad Service at Sakae Sushi, The Curve

Hello all,

Today I am not going to do any food review regarding this restaurant located at The Curve and the restaurant name would be Sakae Sushi. I am very pissed and dissapointed with their services. Once I reach there, the waiter did not bring us to the place and we need to find our own place. Once we sat down, we have to take our own menu and none is serving us. Can you imagine only 1 waiter and 1 waitress only serving its customers and the place was nearly crowded. It was so bad that we need to take our menu and it took us about 15 minutes for the waitress to come and serve us.

After that, they brought us a plate as the place doesn't have any plates and the plates were so dirty and I requested for a change. Then the waitress did response but the plates were all so dirty and I am not satisfied with the service they offered. Then the hot water pipe also leaking and no maintenance for it. When I press on the pipe rubber for hot water, the hot water does not came out in a right place and it spill out. The last thing is the computer system. The computer at the table was down and no one bother to repair or replace it. I was very pissed off with their service and at one time I planned to walk away without paying but finally I've finish it because we do not one to decide which restaurant to eat as we have no mood already. I beg you, please BOYCOTT the Sakae Sushi located at The Curve Shopping Centre Damansara. MY RATING: VERY BAD ; KIMMY RATING: VERY BAD

_______________________________________________________

My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had decided for a walk and we have chosen The Curve as our destination. While we are at The Curve Shopping Complex, we were tempted as we went into Cineleisure Damansara (or now known as e@Curve) and we stepped into Cathay Cineplex Damansara. There, we had decided to watch movie as well and we have chosen Skyline as our movie. Eventually, I've also receive some feedback before I watch this movie and the response was just average only. But when the movie started and right up till the end, I was very surprise. This movie serves 90 minutes of pure action and it started right from the start till the end without any fail. The talking was less and it was purely a great science fiction cum action movie that gives us pure entertainment and thrilling scenes as well. If you love aliens or creatures action and thriller movie, this is definately a movie for you because it's talking about aliens or creatures trying to come to the earth and capture the human race as it will become extinct. In this movie, we can see how human beings survived from being attacked by the aliens or creatures and do they survived? A great movie to watch for you and your whole family too. I would recommend you to watch this movie as it was a great movie to watch. Besides the graphics of this movie was perfectly drawn as well that makes this movie more attractive as well. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4.5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4.5/5

Food Hunt: Madam Lim's Kitchen Restaurant, Kepong Village Mall, Bandar Manjarala

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today ME & Kimmy had decided to try out Madam Lim's Kitchen Restaurant located at Kepong Village Mall. It was a newly opened outlet here as I can't wait to try it. Formerly at Kelana Jaya, now it had shifted to Kepong Village Mall and guess what, I am back again to try out their cuisine after so long didn't get to eat already sinced it had been moved.

We reached the restaurant at about 6.45pm and that time the crowd were still pretty less and once it hit almost 8.00pm, the restaurant started to get packed with the patrons coming in to the restaurant. The business was brisk too despite the food over here. Once we sat down, we were served immedietely by the waitress over there. Once we looked at the menu, we saw a new SET DINNER being introduced and the price was very reasonable as well. The portion was big and worth of the price.

I've ordered Kam Heong Beef Set (RM13.90) while Kimmy ordered Paprik Chicken Set (RM12.90) that comes with a bowl of rice, fruits, vegetables and a mini fried fish ball. Please see pictures for more information. For drinks, I've ordered Sirap Limau Ais (RM1.80) and Kimmy ordered Sirap Ros Ais (RM1.80). Let's go straight to the food comments as I know you are eager to know how tasty it is. The Kam Heong Beef Set was so nice and so delicious. You can even smell the fragrance of the Kam Heong flavour that was cooked together with the beef and you saliva will start coming down already. It was so great as I could gave full marks for this dish as well. For Kimmy's Paprik Chicken, it was no doubt so nice & delicious too. Both of us exchange the dishes and we had a great time enjoying our meal. Me & Kimmy very recommend you to come over to try out the dish futhermore the portion was big too. The vegetables and the mini fired fish ball was also tasty and you will simply love it! Wheeeetttttt! :)

Meanwhile for drinks, the Sirap Limau and Sirap Ros was just moderate as it was not so nice. It was not so sweet and not sour either. They need to improve on the Air Sirap as well. Not recommended to you for drinks as you may order other drinks as well. The total bill came and the price (RM33.45) plus tax was very reasonable as well. We are very satisfied with our SET DINNER and we wow to come back again for the second round to try out other dishes as well. If you stay around Kepong Area or doubt that you want to come and try, do come on over to Kepong Village Mall to try out their SET DINNER as it was superbly nice. No joke ya! Enjoy your dinner! :) MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

_______________________________________________________

My Comments: It has been a while that ME & Kimmy had go out for movies because of our availability these few weeks. Of course today I manage to spend my time Kimmy to go for movies and this week, we have chosen Megamind as our movie of our choice. Not only that, we have decided to try out the new cinema that had just opened in Kepong few weeks ago and the cinema name would be MBO Cinemas Kepong Village Mall. Let me comment a little bit on this new cinema where the seats was not nice (like bus seat) and while they start to air those movie previews, you can hardly find you seat because there's no light in between the alphabets in rows and this is a difficulty for its patrons to identity the seat. Hopefully MBO can improve on this. Overall, it's a new cinema and the interior design was nice and fantastic too. I love the entrance and the entire cinema design and infrastructure as well. Maybe you can try it out to catch any movie of your choice as this cinema. The price meanwhile was pretty expensive (RM12.00) for new movie and it should gone lower as their cinema seats standards are not up to the standard as GSC to TGV. MBO Kepong Village Mall also offers 3D halls as well. Alright, let's go straight to the movie comments.

Megamind is a movie that talks about superhero movie and if you have catch The Incredibles last time, it was pretty similiar to it. This movie is merely for the kids and family as well. This movie talks about the hero who wanted to save the world and its citizen at metrocity and it backfired. Instead be a bad superhero, he changed to a good superhero and try to save the shit that he have done previously. Did he fell in love too? YES! This movie talks about superhero and of course a little bit of romance and most importanly it does have a lot of jokes for us to laugh as well. Even the kids will love this as it was real funny and for the adults, you will love it too. For me, I did laugh and it was kinda interesting too. The storyline was too simple as we would have expect that because this movie is cater for the whole family and especially for the kids. Of course, I would still recommend you to watch this movie as it was fun to watch too. It also available in 3D version as well. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4.5 / 5
