Food Hunt: Uncle Cheng Special Beef Noodle, SS2

Welcome back to yet another great weekend where ME & Alan had actually visited Uncle Cheng Special Beef Noodle located at SS2 and normally we visited the restaurant next to it but unfortunately it did not open so we've decided to try out the beef noodles there. We reach the restaurant at 8.00pm and the crowd is very less with 2 tables occupied. We are a bit worried because of less customers and we taught that the beef noodle isn't nice at all. We took our brave heart out and then we go and try it. Once we sat down, we were served by the boss of the restaurant named Uncle Julian. He's a very friendly boss and he introduced what is nice in his restaurant and he recommended the ala-carte menu. Without any hesitation, ME & Alan had decided to try out the basic beef noodle that was recommended by the boss Uncle Julian.

I've ordered Beef + Tribe + Beef Balls (RM8.00) while Alan ordered the same dish but with extra noodle & beef (RM9.00). We've got the selection of noodles and the boss also makes decision where he recommend us the 'Lai Fun' where it's like the noodle used in Assam Laksa. We just said OK and we are eager to try out the beef noodle. It does not take very long for the noodle to arrive and we also tasted the chili sauce that was home made and it was simply fantastic and nice. We love the home made chili sauce too. The beef noodle was very special and the taste was simply nice too. It comes with a few peanuts as well as some salty vegetable too as it makes out appetite better too. I love the taste. Alan meanwhile also commented on the same results too and we love the taste too. Not forgetting there's a soup serve for you too and the soup was just normal only. The beef meanwhile is smooth and tender yet juicy too and it's simply wonderful. For drinks, Chinese Tea (Cold) is our choice.

Overall, we love the taste of the beef noodle but we still thinks that the beef noodle is pretty expensive and the price should be lowered down a bit. The bill came and it's about RM18.00++. The portion of the noodle is very less and even you ordered the extra noodle and beef, it's still very less small. It's suitable for female customers but not for the male customers I presume. For those big eaters, it might be not enough for you and you need to find an alternative food. Besides ala-carte, Uncle Cheng Beef Noodle also offers the claypot beef noodles too and I think it's delicious too. But I will still recommend you to come over to try out the beef noodle over here as it was delicious and tasty.
