Food Hunt: Restoran Aroma Thai, Kota Damansara

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today ME & Kimmy had visited Aroma Thai located at Kota Damansara to try out yet another Thai Food restaurant. We reached the place at about 7.30pm and the crowd filled almost the space inside the restaurant. Their business is good as so many patrons visited their restaurant for a delicious Thai Food. Once we sat down, we were immediately served by the waitress over there and the service is good indeed.

There are several dishes to choose from ranging from Chicken, Beef, Prawn and Squid too. I've browse through the menu and it took us quite some time to decide what food shall we go and try it out. Then within 10 minutes, we've decided what to eat and we have ordered 'Pla Merk Pad Peds' (Fried Squid with Curry Thai Style) (RM14.00), Papaya Salad (RM8.90) and Thai Chicken Tom Yam (RM14.00). We had Mixed Fruits (RM4.80) as Desserts. For rice, they served healthy rice and it's tasty too. Remember their food is spicy and it's a home cooked food style.

'Pla Merk Pad Peds' (Fried Squid with Curry Thai Style)

It does not took very long for the dishes to arrive and to be served at our table and apparently we can smell the great aroma taste of the dishes as well and it suits the restaurant name Aroma Thai. The 'Pla Merk Pad Peds' (Fried Squid with Curry Thai Style) is nice and juicy and it has the strong Thai curry juicy taste. We really enjoyed the food but for the price we pay is slightly expensive because the portion is very small indeed. The Papaya Salad are also very nice and tasty. The best came from the Thai Chicken Tom Yam where the portion is just nice for 2 persons and not only that where the quality is good as well. It's tasty and the aroma of the Tom Yam was simply fantastic. Finally, after we finished our meal, the desserts arrive and the desserts are very nice too. It's juicy and tasty but I think the santan that was added together with the dessert are slightly too much and it's not so healthy. Just take it once in a while. The food we've ordered all all Medium.

With the price of RM42.00, I think the food is very expensive considering the portion of the food where it's just nice for 2 persons but not for 2 guys. I bet this meal is prepared for 2 girls instead of 2 guys where the portion is really small. I would say you should be ordering large portion which suit 2 guys to eat instead of the medium size. I would recommend you to come over to try out the dishes over here because overall the food is very nice and also another condition where you do not mind of the price of the food served here. Now you can find a Thai Food treasure over here at Damansara Perdana and Aroma Thai is the place ot be. Despite the price and the portion of the food, I would still give high marks thanks for the great food that Aroma Thai had prepared for its patrons. Remember to look for the owner of this restaurant Julius Khoo to recommend you some dishes if you're not sure what is nice and what to order. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5
