Food Hunt: Restoran Super Kitchen Chilli Pan Mee, Chow Yang SS2, Petaling Jaya

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another Food Hunt. Yet another mouth watering weekday for me as ME & Alan wanted to try something hot & spicy after it rained and of course we have a great weather to eat hot & spicy food as well. Without any hesitation, we visited the Chilli Pan Mee located at Chow Yang @ SS2 Petaling Jaya to try out the Chilli Pan Mee over there. We reached the restaurant at about 8.00pm and the crowd is there and almost filled the restaurant. Of course, there are still some empty spaces that yet to be occupied.

We sat down and looking at the menu and the choices are very limited at the menu as they know many patrons who came here would only love to try their specialty which is the Chilli Pan Mee. After looking through, both of us ordered the dry Chilli Pan Mee (RM5.50 each) and Alan order the Fresh Umbra fruit with Dried Soup Plum (RM2.80) while I ordered the Herbal Tea (RM2.50). It does not take long for the food to be served at our table and it took about 5 minutes for the food to arrive despite the crowd.

The Chilli Pan Mee was good and both of us added a lot of chilli flakes (at least 1.5 tablespoon) into our meal to make the pan mee even for spicy and hot too. To be realistic if compared to Kin Kin Pan Mee, I guess Kin Kin Pan Mee is slightly better than the ones at Super Kitchen Chilli Pan Mee but it's still good to eat too. If you are not staying around Kuala Lumpur, then this restaurant is an alternative for you, if happens that you are craving for Chilli Pan Mee too. Overall, the Pan Mee is good to eat and we will be coming back for the second time too if both of us wanted to crave for more. The Fresh Umbra fruit with Dried Soup Plum is recommended said Alan because it's very tasty and nice. For the Herbal Tea I've ordered, it was good too and I felt refreshing while drinking the Herbal Tea after eating the Chilli Pan Mee. If you guys are new on how to eat this chilli pan mee, there's steps to eat it. Firstly, noodle is served and then measure how much chilli you want to put in. You can eat it separately too. Secondly, you can scoop it directly into your bowl. Remember to start with 1/2 or 1 scoop. This is seriously spicy! Then, break the runny yolk on your noodle and after that stir and mix all together. Last but not least, eat it while still hot.

The price is considered reasonable as both of us had paid RM16.30 for our meal with no service nor government tax charged. The portion of the Chilli Pan Mee is small but considering the environment as they are fully equipped with Air Conditioned too. You can enjoy your meal on a comfortable environment and I guess by paying more for a small portion is reasonable if we sits on an air conditioned room. I would say reasonable and for RM5.50 for a bowl of Pan Mee, it's almost the same price as you eat outside the normal restaurant pan mee stall too with just fan. Thumbs up for this restaurant's pan mee if you are looking for an alternative. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4.5/5 ; ALAN RATING: 4.5/5
