Food Hunt: Tao Authentic Asian Cuisine, Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt where it was a great Thursday evening again special thanks to my friend Tan Kian Keong for treating many of us at Tao Authentic Asian Cuisine in conjunction with his company's colleague Dennis Lee Farewell Dinner. This is also my first time eating at this Kota Damansara branch and of course I am very eager and excited to try the food over there and hopefully it does not dissapoints me.

I reach the restaurant at about 7.15pm and the restaurant is already full. They are having a brisk business which I guess based on the amount of people who visited the restaurant even at weekdays, it has to be very good indeed. If you would love to dine here even with 2 people, reservation is strictly recommended or else you will have to wait and queue up for your turn. The varieties of the food over there is pretty less compared to other larger Japanese Buffet restaurants and I would say the food is pretty fresh as well. Their main target of the food is actually those with self ordered (buffet style) that comprises of grilled prawns, squid and the grilled chicken (mostly comes with a sticks of) and it's easy to eat without to be troublesome (e.g. do not need to peel the prawns skin).

The best food that can be found at Tao here would be the sushi's and the Sashimi's. The sushi is very good indeed as it has a lot of ingredients and it's not stingy as well. The Sashimi meanwhile is very fresh and recommended to all. The grilled and fried food is also good as the taste was just nice. I would love the food over here and I vowed to come back again next time. The Ice-Cream was nice as well as the chocolate fondue. Remember if you come over here, do not surprise that the choices of sushi and sashimi is pretty less but their main dish and food over here is actually buffet style menu where you ordered from the menu as many times as you like and they prepared the food for you.

For the pricing, it was pretty reasonable as well as they charge you RM58.00++ per pax for dinner and RM42.00++ for lunch (Weekdays) and RM58.00++ for lunch (Weekends). It's value for money because the portion is pretty large upon order and then the best thing is you can order as many times as you like based on the menu. Besides, the food is also fresh especially their oysters. Expect great food with great environment too as it was a cozy restaurant. It's a total enjoyment especially if you go in large groups as you can chit chat and eat in the same time. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5
