Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today ME & Kimmy had visited Carrefour Kepong and of course we are going there for dinner since we've got a discount coupon while dining in there. The restaurant we've chosen is Mr. Teppanyaki. We reached the restaurant at about 7.45pm and I can tell you only a few tables occupied (3-4 tables) out of 10-20 tables there. Their business is not very good and I can see while about 1 hour plus we dine in there, there were only 3-4 tables occupied since then.
Once we sat down, we were immediately served by the waiter and both of us did looked at the menu to see what are the food we can choose from the menu. We are pretty eager to try out the salmon and prawn teppanyaki as we had never tried before as normally we will try out the chicken or beef set. Without any hesitation, we ordered 1 prawn (RM16.90) and 1 salmon teppanyaki (RM16.90) and 2 glasses of Ice Lemon Tea (RM3.90 each).
It does not take very long for the food to arrive to us as the chef was very excited to cook for us since he is not rushing because nobody ordered the Teppanyaki. It was of course did not disappoint us. Let's comment about the prawn teppanyaki first. It was very tasty and the prawn was very fresh too. Once u bite on the prawn, you can taste on the juiciness of the prawn and you will simply love it. About the salmon teppanyaki, it was too lovely and tasty as well as fresh too. Kimmy & I both enjoyed the food there very much and we are pretty surprise on why nobody ordered the teppanyaki since it was tasty and nice too. The sets comes with miso soup as well. The chilli sauce that was served are simply marvelous and nice too. Perhaps maybe the price that matters. The Ice-Lemon Tea meanwhile was nice too and no hesitation to order it. Two thumbs up for the food & drinks we've ordered today.
Who cares when we paid for the price and then you get quality food right as long as you are satisfied with it. The total bill charge would be RM40.00++ (plus government & service tax) for 2 persons and I would say it's reasonable based on the food we've ordered like prawn and salmon. I would totally recommended you to come over to Mr. Teppanyaki located at Carrefour Kepong to try out the teppanyaki over here. It's a hidden gem where nobody knows how tasty the food is. I would also like to admit that the food is nothing special because it's just a normal teppanyaki but it's tasty and why not come over here and give it a try? Their staff over there are very friendly and the most important thing is the boss who came out and then asking about the feedback of their food and I told them my feedback too. Enjoy!
