Travel: Cameron Highlands Day 2
Dear All,
Welcome back again to the last part of the Ipoh / Cameron Highlands trip and today is our last day here at Cameron Highlands. We woke up at 8.00am and then proceed to have breakfast outside the hotel. We had an enjoyable breakfast outside although we did not have our breakfast at Equatorial Hotel because our stay package does not include any of the breakfast for us. But it did not dampen us from having the breakfast outside as we have selected the nearest mamak stall called Sri Shan Curry House. Both of us ordered the same food and drinks which is the hot milo and Nasi Lemak. I can tell you that the Nasi Lemak served is very good especially the sambal because it's spicy enough for both of us and we love it so much.
Place Of Interest: Butterfly Farm, Cameron Highlands
After that we proceed to the Kea Farm morning market to shop for some fruits and vegetables. The price of these vegetables are very much cheaper than you buy outside because most of the vegetables came from Cameron Highlands. This what we managed to buy: Corn (RM10.00 for 7 pieces), Tomatoes, White Lobak, Mushrooms, Fresh Vegetables and some carrots. It was real cheap as you can pick as up to 5 items for the price of RM10.00 and the price is very much cheaper. After that, we proceed to Raju Strawberry Farm and we left the farm very much dissapointed because we did not manage to see and pluck the strawberry ourselves because Raju told us that the strawberry season is not now.
Place Of Interest: Bee Farm, Cameron Highlands & Equatorial Hotel Swimming Pool
Then we proceed to the Butterfly Farm. The entrance fees is RM5.00 per person. Inside the farm, we managed to see a lot of butterflies surrounding us inside the closed room and we are delighted as we manage to take some photos with the butterflies as well. Besides butterflies, this farm also displayed some insects and snakes for display. We had a great time over there watching different species of insects and snakes as well. After that, our journey continues with the visit of Bee Farm. In this farm, you can visit the farm for free unless you opt to go for Bee Hive experience and it costs about RM3.00 per person. Unfortunately when we went there, the Bee Hive exhibition was closed to public. We did not spent our time long there as it does not interests us on a pretty hot Monday morning as well.
Place Of Interest: EQ Strawberry Farm, Cameron Highlands
Then after that we went back to the hotel and proceed to checkout from the hotel at 12 noon. Immediately after checking out, we proceed to EQ Strawberry Farm which is situated outside of our hotel. We parked our car there and we looked excited after finally we managed to pluck our own strawberries. The price for 1/2kg would be RM20.00 and if you pick more than 1/2kg, additional charges apply. We did add another additional RM5.00 for about 50 pieces of strawberry plucked. We had a great experience over at the farm on plucking the strawberries. The farm aisle was pretty narrow and it's pretty slippery also at certain areas. For those of you who took the tray of the strawberry must be careful. The plucking process is easy as there's a lot of strawberries to choose from there ranging from small to big and from red (ripe) to orange (non ripe). Come and join the fun as this is my first time plucking the strawberries as well and I love the adventure and experience.
Place Of Interest: Rose Valley, Tringkap, Cameron Highlands
After that both of us proceed to the Rose Valley located at Tringkap where this time we were charged RM4.00 per person for entrance fees. The rose valley is real big and you can spend half or whole day there climbing up the stairs to see some live roses located right on the top of the valley. But we did not go that far because we do not have much time on doing that. Don't worry if you can't climb up because there's still a lot of roses to be seen at the lower level of the valley and it's simply fantastic. You can even see orchid flowers displayed there as well as some pond decorations which makes the valley looks more lively and beautiful.
Place Of Interest: Cameron Bharat Tea Valley, Cameron Highlands
After that, we spend some time on having our lunch at Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) located at Brinchang Town before heading back towards Kuala Lumpur on the old Tapah Road. On our way back, we also stopped over at the Cameron Bharat Tea Valley where here you can also enjoy a cuppa tea and to see the beautiful scenery of the tea plantation valley. I think this tea plantation is bigger and it's more nicer than the Boh Tea Plantation. Overall, we had a pleasant and enjoyable trip from Ipoh to Cameron Highlands before heading back to Kuala Lumpur. I would recommend you to come over to Ipoh and Cameron Highlands for a short holidays as it would be great and nice as it contains lots of places of interest for you to visit. Enjoy!
