Welcome back to a sunny weekend where ME & Alan had planned to visit Fresh Taste Cafe situated at Dataran Prima at Petaling Jaya. We reach there restaurant at about 12.00pm noon and the crowd was pretty less with 1-2 tables occupied. The restaurant is located at the heart of the offices centers and I believe it will be packed during weekdays and not during weekends.
Once we reach the cafe, we were greeted warmly by the restaurant waitress and we got lots of place to choose from to sit. Of course both of us had chosen a place where the air conditioned is situated for comfort dining. Hehe. Once we sat down, we were served with a menu and we thoroughly looked into the menu. We found out there are several signature dishes offered by the restaurant and I think it would be nice. This restaurant offers wide ranges of choices from western to our local cuisine and it's HALAL. The price meanwhile is pretty expensive and I think it's not worth the price based on the environment as it's only air conditioned but it's not really cozy.
Both of us ordered the same meal which is the Fresh Taste Special Chicken Chop with Rice (RM15.90 each) while I've ordered a glass of chilling Ice-Blended Blackcurrent Longan (RM5.90) while Alan ordered Ice Blended Watermelon (RM5.90). The taste of the Special Chicken Chop Rice is not good and not tasty either. It was very salty and I almost puke and it was totally sucks. I do not understand why they put it such as their signature dish and it does not looks good after all. Only thing is the rice where it was fried before and this one still can eat and the taste is acceptable. For the drinks, the Ice-Blended Blackcurrent Longan was a total satisfaction and it was very nice and you should try this one. It is really cooling and refreshing especially when you are at hot weather. But the different comments comes from Alan's Ice-Blended Watermelon where it was just so-so and nothing special about it.
So now you know what you should and should not try. I have not tried other food but based on the price, I would not come back to try it out again as it was too expensive. The bill came and it was just horrifying and the bill came totaled RM48.00 plus tax with only 2 set of food & drinks. It was really ridiculous and too expensive for a normal dine in. Luckily the Ice-Blended Blackcurrent Longan would made my day & I would not recommend you to come over here. buddy, u dun expect a merc when u pay for a honda rite??..like wise here....what were u expecting, mamak prices??..have u eaten the stuffed superly laced by MSG frm all the kopitiams etc....comon buddy..be a qaulified foodtester before cominting on food....admitedly the food here is average and the longan drink was my fav as well...
Thanks for your comments. Not to say I am a qualified food tester or not but I have to say what I think about the food that we've ordered. Whether you work or the owner of the restaurant, I hope you would accept the fact that is given. The food that we ordered are not so good and I pay for RM15.90 just for a pork chop and the rice and the food is not nice? Come on buddy! It should have a french fries as well. They should have sold at a reasonable price of RM8.00 to RM10.00. Thanks!
