Food Hunt: Ah Cheng Laksa, e@Curve, Mutiara Damansara
Dear All,
Welcome back to yet another edition of the Food Hunt and today ME & Kimmy had visited e@Curve to have our dinner there. We had earlier visited the 3 surrounding malls including The Curve, e@Curve and IPC Shopping Centre. We have decided to give it a try since we have not try out the Laksa over there and the restaurant name is called Ah Cheng Laksa. Previously I heard from my colleague that Ah Cheng laksa serves the best laksa in PJ and Subang. Without any hesitation, I've decided to give it a try.
We reach the restaurant at about 7.00pm and then there are only a few tables being occupied only. This is because during dinner time, there's not much people would like to take Laksa for dinner perhaps. We manage to find our seat freely as there's a lot of seats available. We look at the menu and it does not take us very long to decide what food that we would like to eat. I've ordered Assam Laksa with extra fish (RM8.50) while Kimmy ordered the normal Assam Laksa (RM6.90). For drinks, to quench my thirst, I've ordered the Coke (RM2.50) while Kimmy ordered Longan (RM2.00). It does not take very long for the food to arrive and initially it's very fast as well due to less people inside the restaurant.
Out of my expectations, the Assam Laksa is very nice indeed. The Fish is juicy and the Assam Laksa soup was very delicious and nice because we can actually freely add the Prawn Paste ourselves without any limitation. We love the Assam Laksa taste there. Kimmy also said the Assam Laksa is nice and delicious as well but still not so spicy because she loves to eat spicy Assam Laksa too. For me, this Assam Laksa is very good already and I would say it's the best in Petaling Jaya and Subang. Such a long time I did not eat such a nice Assam Laksa and Ah Cheng Assam Laksa is the place to be. I would totally recommend you to come over here to try out their Assam Laksa over here as it was good. Kimmy's Longan drink was also nice as it was just nice and not so sweet. It has the longan taste and it's fabulous. I drink some of it and I felt it was good too.
The price we pay is slightly expensive for Assam Laksa but I think it's reasonable to pay if the food served is good or above our expectations. The bill came and it's RM19.90 without any government or service tax charge. Overall, it's worth of trying it and you will not regret. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5
* Food & Drinks Rating are based on the food & drinks we've ordered and not overall food & drinks.
