Food Hunt: Wok Dish Way, Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya
Yo!
Our food hunt continues today and of course ME & Alan had a wet Saturday afternoon as we head down to Kota Damansara to have our nice and lovely lunch. Inspired by yet another coupon discount, Wok Dish Way restaurant is our latest target and location to go today. We reach the restaurant at about 1.00pm and the restaurant is so quiet and there's only 1 table being occupied.
Once we sat down, we look at the menu and the choices was rather limited. It was very less choices and most of the dishes served here were local cuisines. So, I've chosen the signature Hakka LeiCha claimed from Johor (RM7.90 each) as well as Alan. For drinks, I've ordered Special Drink (RM3.90) while Alan ordered Ice Lemon Tea (RM3.90). The special drink that mentioned earlier is actually a combination drink where it contains Lychee, Cincau and Pineapple. After the meal, I did also try out the Nasi Lemak Biasa (RM3.90) too.
The Hakka LeiCha has receive different comments from ME and my brother. In my opinion, the LeiCha was good and it's above average and I love the taste. I think every ingredients is well balanced and it's good too. while Alan comments were totally otherwise. He said that the LeiCha is just so so and the rice was too sticky and salty. The soup has nothing special. He's comparing between my aunty's cooking and this restaurant cooking and he says my aunty's cooking is way much better than this restaurant. The Ice Lemon Tea was just nice while the Special Drink as I mentioned earlier is nothing special except it combines 3 different things inside the drink. The water is kind of sweet and it's a Lychee water drink only. I think the lychee came from the normal can drink. The Nasi Lemak biasa ordered was way too normal and nothing much to brag about. The sambal was just normal and nothing special too.
With the price of almost RM12.00 per person for the food, I think it's not worth to try it was it was slightly too expensive to try it. The LeiCha can be sold way cheaper and it would attract more customers to come in future. The Nasi Lemak meanwhile has nothing special and the sambal is just nice. The drinks price is also kind of expensive as there's nothing special about it too. Just to put a few things inside the drinks and charge customers quite expensive is not a good way to attract customers too. If the owners read this post, you may want to revise your price and menu. Well, I would still recommend you to try this restaurant to try out other food as well and do go during lunch hour as they also have set lunch promotion as well. Enjoy! MY RATING: 3.5/5 ; ALAN RATING: 3/5
