Food Hunt: Ristretto Cafe, Mont Kiara

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and finally I had a great outings with my colleague who are so energetic so join in the fun for food hunt. This time we have chosen a fine dining Brazillian Restaurant here located at Mont Kiara and the name would be Ristretto Cafe. It's a cozy yet small restaurant but most importantly is the food where we do have high expectation on the food based on the price we pay. This time around, we have been given a promotional rate of RM39.90 per person instead of RM80.00++ per person (normal price). This is actually a authentic Brazillian Buffet and this buffet is actually available on Friday (8pm to 10pm) & Saturday only from 7pm to 9pm.

Since today is Friday, then we have decided to go there and it took us about an hour plus to reach the place as we came all the way from Shah Alam. We reach the restaurant at about 7.45pm and we eagerly waiting for the food to come. Many had been asking how's the Brazillian buffet looks like and it's actually something different from what we had been experiencing before. What they mostly served is the fresh from oven lamb, chicken, beef and ham and with these choices especially meat lovers, this is the paradise for you. The waiter then will bring the large chunk of meat (in BBQ style) and served in front of your table and you may choose your portion on how much to take. Among the dishes available for the buffet would be Argentinian style sirloin beef, Tempero style beef, New Zealand Lamb marinated with in-house fine herbs, Carribean chicken, Roasted chicken ham, Garlic beef, Roast pineapple, Garlic bread, Greek salad, Leche de Tigre, Papa a la Huancaina & Chicharron Pescado. Enjoy all the above with chimichurri and pico de gallo sauces! Also it's unrestricted flow of meat!

Overall, the beef, lamb and chicken were totally awesome and it was so tasty. After eating it, all of us gave a thumbs up to the main meat dishes and we are so satisfied with it. All of us would say the dishes is above expectations too. I was the one who ate a lot together with a female colleague as both of us really enjoy the food to the maximum. You should give it a try!

The price meanwhile is a bit expensive where you will be charged RM80.00 per person to just enjoy the meat. I also must admit that after a few rounds of different meat test, you will feel the puke upon looking at the meat again. I would say you are here to try the food because of the quality and not the quantity. It depends how you think about it because some will go for the quality and some go for the quantity and I can tell you Ristretto Cafe does not give you both. For me I think it's quite expensive but the quality of food you get is really worth it too. I would totally recommend you to come over to try out their Brazillian Buffet that is happening every Friday & Saturday but hey, you can also visit their restaurant during normal days too as they served normal fusion food and their coffee as well besides the Brazillian Buffet.
