Food Hunt: TaiTao Steamboat, Bandar Manjarala

Welcome back to yet another edition of the Food Hunt and it's the year end already where we are celebrating Christmas soon. Well, as for today's Food Hunt, we will be hunting for steamboat once again and the location we had chosen is another famous steamboat restaurant at Bandar Manjarala.

We had chosen TaiTao Steamboat as our choice after Happy City as both of this steamboat is highly recommended by Kimmy and without any hesitation, we go and try again. We reach the steamboat restaurant at about 7.00pm and the crowd just started to build up and still we get a place to sit. We ordered 2 person's meal and we have to wait for about 15 minutes before the food arrived because the workers there are pretty limited. The service meanwhile was just moderate as I could see many people are not so happy with their service as they called the workers over there but it took several minutes for them to respond because of too many people with limited workers.

The steamboat ingredients was very fresh indeed when it arrived. The portion is very big and we had tough time finishing it although we just ordered 2 persons meal. We were almost full and still we are unable to finish the mee at the end of our meal and left unattended. The famous soup of this steamboat restaurant would be 'Ching Tong' soup where it was remarkable. It smells almost same like the Herbs Soup and it was very nice. For the Tom Yum, it was just so-so and not so impressive compared to Happy City Steamboat. It was very spicy indeed and not so much taste. I would recommend you to come over here to try at their fresh steamboat ingredients and the 'Ching Tong' soup. That's their secret of success. The price meanwhile was very cheap and reasonable. For RM14.30 per person, you can eventually eat a large portion of steamboat ingredients. Our bill came and it costs us RM31.00 for 2 persons as we order Chinese Tea pot for 2 persons. If you come over the weekend after 7.30pm, you hardly can find a place to sit and need to wait as they are having a brisk business especially during these times. Enjoy!
