Jiang Man Da (KK) and Lu Ye Chang (Luke) are the most famous and popular radio deejays. However, they have a bad attitude and ego to deal with. One day, they are being fired by their superior and ended up being shunned off by all the other major radio stations as well. Out of job and down-and-out for several months, they decided to attend a public audition for radio deejays at a new radio station. Jiang Man Da and Lu Ye Chang are surprised to see many old ladies applying for the job. It turned out that the radio station is actually looking for 2 "Ah Po" (old lady) deejays for a new show. They then disguise themselves as old ladies and got the job. Their momentum as the "PoPo" deejays builds up and that is when the fun begins. _____________________________________________________ My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had started our journey by visiting the shopping malls to catch the latest Christmas decorations in town and eventually I am amazed with the decorations as well. Not only that, to get ourselves into the mood, we've decided to watch movie at GSC Mid Valley Megamall this week and of course Malaysian movie comes into our mind again as two 988 famours Deejay KK and Luke were were the 2 main actors in this movie as well. This movie is called Lelio Popo, where both of the Deejays were fired due to their misconduct and now they need to search for another Deejay job to survive and the only way out is to be an old lady. Overall, this movie does impress by its jokes but the storyline was way too simple. This story also preserves the moral values and of course we can see lots of moral values that we can learned on this movie. I would rate this as an entertaining comedy family movie where all walks of life can enjoy this movie with laughter. KK and Luke does impress in this movie and they had done a very good job since this is their first movie as they partnered. Of course, some jokes are pretty lame but some did impress as well. I would recommend you to watch this movie but as a last resort only but as a Malaysian, you should be supporting local productions as well. Give them a chance and I am sure 1 day they will shine and improved. Trailer URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inj3n7AkUKw . MY RATING: 3.5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 3.5/5 |
