Food Hunt: One Chef Restaurant, Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur

Hi All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today ME & Kimmy had settle down at Berjaya Times Square and we planned to have lunch over there as well. We have chosen One Chef Restaurant located at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur as our lunch dining place. We reached there around 2.00pm and the restaurant is packed with people but at least we still manage to find a place to sit. After sitting down, we were then served with the menu.

It took us about 10 minutes to browse at the menu and then decide what to order. I've order the Extraordinary Crispy Seafood Fried Rice (RM12.80) while Kimmy ordered the Prawn Dumpling Soup Noodle (RM12.80). For drinks, I've ordered the Coke With Lemon (RM4.20) while Kimmy ordered the Honey Lemon Juice (RM4.50). But then the service is very poor especially when we wanted to call the waiter or waitress for our order and no one seems to entertain us and I have to wait about 5 minutes before take order.

Honey Lemon Juice (RM4.50)
The food also take some time to arrive and if I am not mistaken, we have waited for about 15 minutes before the food arrives. The Extraordinary Crispy Seafood Fried Rice is very normal and it's just like a normal fried rice with an egg top. Also it comes with prawns, squid and Chinese Sausage (Lap Cheong). Since the name extraordinary and I do not feel special about it. Don't let the name itself bluff you. The taste is OK but seriously nothing so special about it. It's quite salty but for me it's still acceptable but not very good. For the price we pay, it's totally not worth it. About the Prawn Dumpling Soup Noodle, it's quite big portion and they are quite generous in servings especially the dumplings. They gave about 6 pieces of dumplings that served together with average size wantan mee. The taste is much better than the fried rice and it's good. I've tried it too. The drinks meanwhile are just normal and nothing so special about it.

The price we pay is still reasonable if compared to others Chinese Restaurants that is situated inside the mall. The food they served is OK but I think some food are nice and some are not. The total bill we pay is RM37.75 including Service Charge only. There's no Government Tax. I still recommend you to come over here to try out their food and the price is considered reasonable too. The quality of food is also depending what you order as well. Enjoy! MY RATING: 3/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5
