Food Hunt: Tang House Of Fishball, Sea Park, Petaling Jaya

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt where ME & Alan had an unexpected planning where I went to see doctor because I am not feeling well and thus after seeing the doctor, ME & Alan had lunch nearby and we have selected the Tang House Of Fishball located at Sea Park in Petaling Jaya. It's already 2.30pm in the afternoon and of course it's after lunch break and so the restaurant is not packed with people and there's a lot of place to sit. The place is super clean and full of marble tables and chairs. They serve all things to do with fish paste: fishballs, fishcake, fish noodles and Yong Tau Foo stuffed with fish paste. There is a big sign proclaiming their freshness and their fish paste has no preservatives. It's great that they are doing this as more and more people are getting health conscious.

We look at the menu and the choices of fishball noodles are pretty less but there's other food to eat as well besides Fishball. After looking at the menu for about 5 minutes, ME & Alan had decided what to eat. Both of us ordered the Homemade Noodles (RM6.00) while for drinks I've ordered the sour plum ice drink (RM2.50) while Alan ordered Soya Bean Ice (RM2.50). We do not waited very long for the food to arrive and we manage to try out the Handmade Noodles. The taste was good and the ingredients given are pretty fresh as well including the slices of fishcake and a fishball. The fishball was very fresh and tasty. The mee meanwhile is nice and juicy too. Pretty decent dish. Alan gave the same comments as well. For the Sour Plum Ice drink, it was just normal with nothing much special while Alan claimed that the Soya Bean was very nice and well prepared as it was not too sweet too. Thumbs up for the soya bean ice drink.

The price meanwhile is pretty expensive considering the portion of the mee. As you can see the bowl is very small and the portion is very less and both of us remembered that both of us only take about a 4-5 tablespoon of the mee and it's finished. For the price of RM17.00 for the bill, I rather eat outside that I find out it's much more better or have the similar quality as this restaurant but I can get at a cheaper price perhaps. It's worth of try but not always I guess. The quality of the food is there but the portion is not suitable for both of us and it's more suitable for girls. You can order a larger portion but with additional price. I would still recommend you to come over here to try out the fishball mee over here as they claimed that their food has no preservatives. Eat healthy right? Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; ALAN RATING: 4/5
