Set in 1920's Shanghai, Chen Zhen (Donnie Yen), a local resistance fighter had been taken dead after a bloody skimmish to revenge his master's death. After 7 years, he returns in disguise as Koo and befriends Casablanca boss, Mr Lau (Anthony Wong) and a girl named Kiki (Shu Qi) who is the club's famous courtesan. Transforming into a caped fighter at night, Chen intends to uncover a plot linking the triads and the Japanese. _________________________________________________________ My Comments: Welcome back to another edition of movie review where ME & Kimmy watched movie today at GSC at 1 Utama after we skipped a week of movie action. This is because I am very busy with my personal things and I do not have time to watch movie last week. This week, we have chosen a martial arts movie and it promises to be an entertaining movie to watch. Starring Donnie Yen, this movie is called Legend Of The Fist: The Return Of Chen Zhen. This movie is totally great with of course a lot of fight as well as brutal killings and love is in the air too. The combination makes this movie a must watch too. I've receive average response on this movie and not many say it's nice. But for me it's a totally different story. Maybe some of you would have taught that this movie is similiar to previous Donnie Yen's movie IP MAN and you are absolutely right. It's pretty similiar to IP MAN but this movie is much more aggresive compared to IP MAN. The storyline doesn't run too much and of course you would have guess how the storyline goes. The only thing that I dislikes is the ending. The ending is still the same although Donnie Yen had won the battle and I guess there will be second episode as well. There are love, jokes and the most would be brutal fight and killings which makes this movie very sad at times and some might have cried. It's a 18SG movie too. I would recommend you to watch this movie as it would not dissapoints you. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5
