At 12.30pm after our trip to Sg Lembing town, about 33KM from Kuantan Town, we've decided to have lunch at Kuantan town. I browse through the GPS and look for any Hainan Chicken Rice around and I've found one. It's called the Restaurant Kampung Hainan. It's situated along Jalan Lim Hoe Lek and just beside the Petronas petrol station. We stopped there to have our lunch and as we sat down, we look at the menu and we've ordered taugeh, honey roasted chicken and 1 kampung chicken (see pictures). For drinks, I've ordered chrysenthemum tea and Kimmy ordered barley. Let me comment on the chicken. Both chicken taste were not as tasty as the ones in Kuala Lumpur. Besides, the flesh of the chicken is very less. The taugeh was acceptable and nice. The chilli is totally different from KL. There, the chilli is pretty much sour and less spicy compared to KL. Overall, it's not recommended for you to stop over there to try out the Hainan Chicken Rice because it's not tasty. RATING: 2.5 / 5 ; KIMMY RATING: 2/5

Then at night about 7.30pm, we went to Kemaman Kopitiam to try out their specilities. Of course, when we speak about Kopitiam, we will be looking forward for their coffee because mostly it's their speciality. There, I ordered Kemaman Coffee and Nasi Lemak Kukus with Sambal Petai. Kimmy ordered Soursoup with Guava and Nasi Lemak Kukus with Curry Chicken (see pictures). The Kemaman Coffee was absolutely great and delicious because it is very "KAWWW!". I've never tried this type of coffee before and once I drink it, it was so tasty and rich in coffee taste. The nasi lemak kukus meanwhile was delicious as well and I really enjoy the food there at Kemaman Kopitiam. For Kimmy, the Soursoup with Guava was very nice and tasty too. It's totally fresh and up to the taste standard. But for her she don't really like the taste of the nasi lemak so she said the nasi lemak was just average. Besides, we also ordered a side dish which is the Cucur Sayur. The cucur sayur was nice though but it's a bit cold when it served to us. Overall, it will be a recommended place to go but don't go during Sunday night (the day I went) because a lot of food is not available for sale as either it finishes fast or no delivery like I've like to ordered Nasi Dagang, Nasi Minyak or Keropok Lekor also not available. The food there was nice and great. RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

After we checked in the hotel successfully. then we continue our journey to Taman Teruntum in search of the Mini Zoo. You just need to drive about 5KM for the Vistana Hotel and on the way to Teluk Chempedak beach as well. We arrived at the place at about 3.30pm despite there's some drizzling as well. It's pretty much easy to find this place if you have GPS system equipped inside your car. Everytime I travel, I will use the GPS for easier tracking of the place rather than we find it ourselves if we are pretty new to the place. The mini zoo was pretty dissapointing because there are not much animals to see inside as the cage were mostly empty. One thing is, this mini zoo is free or charge but it's still not a recommended place to go.

For Kimmy, she ordered the Pasta with spicy beef and Kiwi Sorbet (Char) (see pictures). She did not ordered the set meal because she could not finished it. She told alexleow-kimmy.com that the Pasta with Spicy Beef is not very nice and it very dissapointing. She doesn't like the taste of it and that is why she gave a low marks on this food. I did try some of the pasta and found it tastes like Indian Rojak. Depends on you whether you accept it or not so it's very subjective to give marks on this one. For the Kiwi Sorbet (Char), it was very nice and tasty as well as juicy. I tried some too and found the same comments as what Kimmy gave. It was totally nice.

Overall the food wasn't that attractive but I still recommend you to try the Black Pepper Chicken with Pasta if you plan to visit Sweet Chat Cafe in future. It was totally nice. This one I've tried previously on this cafe. But a piece of reminder that each and every of the pasta served there are all VERY SPICY. If you plan to try other pasta besides the black pepper chicken, think twice again. But I strongly recommend you the drinks and desserts there because it was simply amazing and wonderful. The price was pretty reasonable and it's not expensive at all. The bill came and my set was RM16.90 meanwhile Kimmy's set costs RM10.90 (Pasta with Spicy Beef ) and the Kiwi Sorbet (Char) costs about RM6.90. Including tax, overall we are charged RM39.90 and it's still reasonable despite the pasta were not up to our expectations. If you plan to visit Sweet Chat Cafe in Mid Valley, remember to try out their drinks or desserts only and their food is not so recommended. Have a nice day in food hunt! :)

We reach the restaurant at about 7.30pm and there were still places for us to sit although the restaurant was half crowded already. The crowd started to pour in pretty shortly after that and we are lucky to get a place at this hour. Once we sat down, the waiter immedietely brought us the menu and the service was fantastic as well. Thumbs up for this one. Once we look at the menu, we already know what to order for our main course.
I've ordered Cheese Baked Rice with Szechuan Pork (Italian Sauce) & a glass of Honey Lemon (see picture). The taste of the Cheese Baked Rice was amazingly nice and I guess it's better than Kim Gary restaurant. The taste is pretty sweet and sour that makes the rice very juicy and perfect. You should try it if you have a chance. The Honey Lemon Ice was too very nice as well with a fresh and deep in taste. I would strongly recommend you for the food and the drink that I've just introduced just now. For Kimmy, it was totally a dissapointing one. She ordered Cheese Baked Rice with Seafood & a glass of Honey Lemon as well (see picture). The Cheese Baked Rice was pretty dissapointing according to her because the taste of the rice is just like green curry. The taste is also similiar to Indian Curry and it doesn't suits her taste. I've tried some of the rice and I found that the curry doesn't suits the rice and if you continue eating it, you will feel that you want to vomit. A totally bad menu for this one and it's strongly not recommended for you if you want to try out this dish.

Overall the price of the dish were kind of reasonable and not so expensive. For 2 persons, the bill came and it's about RM38.90 (including a 10% service charge). It was a standard charge for many restaurants in town and it's normal. For my dish, it costs around RM13.80 (for the Cheese Baked Rice with Szechuan Pork) and the Honey Lemon Ice costs acound RM3.80. For Kimmy's dish costs around RM14.20 (Cheese Baked Rice with Seafood) and the Honey Lemon Ice costs acound RM3.80. If you have a chance, do try out the cheese baked rice (in dim sum type plate) because it's very recommended and tasty and NOT the Seafood type (normal plate). You are also welcomed to try out other food and give us some feedback. Definately we will come back to try other food and hopefully it does not dissapoint us. Enjoy! :)
