Food Hunt: T-Bowl Restaurant, Sunway Pyramid

Hello Everyone,

First and foremost, I would like to wish Happy Chinese New Year in advance to those who will be celebrating Chinese New Year in a few days time. Our Food Hunt continues and we will try out something new today and YES! We have made it to T-Bowl Restaurant in Sunway Pyramid to try out the popular food in the toilet bowl! It looks a bit disgusting when you are eating the food over there but whatever it is, it a great experience to try it out.

We had our early dinner tonight at 6.00pm and the crowd are not so much. It was a great atmosphere inside the restaurant where the table was actually designed with bathroom utensils below the table and it can be seen. Of course, the meal that you can see in its menu mostly contains a bowl where a toilet bowl is supporting below it. It's a pretty new experience for me and Kimmy although this restaurant already opened for quite some time as we don't have the chance to try it out yet but today we've decided to try it out.

I've ordered Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop (RM 12.90) with a glass of Honey Lemon (RM2.50) while Kimmy ordered Si Chuan Spicy Sour Ramen (RM10.90) with a glass of Honey Lemon (RM2.50). For desserts, we've also ordered Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread (RM4.50). OK! Now we come to the most important part which is the taste of the food. I can tell you that overall the food was very disappointing and it does not look promising at all. Both of us are very sad of the quality of the food as it does not meet our expectations. WHY? The Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop was tasteless as I can only taste the heavy flavor of Cheese and the rice was simply tasteless and the Chicken Chop was rather not well cooked and looked raw. The Honey Lemon drink meanwhile was very sour and it does not have the Honey flavor. Kimmy also feedback about the Si Chuan Spicy Sour Ramen as well. It was so sour and not much spicy taste and the meal looks very disgusting too. It's hardly to digest and eat and she said she was disappointed with the food and planned to BAN this restaurant in future.

Both of us enjoyed the atmosphere at the restaurant but not the food. The food is really sucks to the maximum and there will be no next time for us eventually. It was just a try for us and they really let us down. I would not recommend you to go for the quality of the food but if you would try out something new about the toilet based restaurant, you can give it a try but as I have said earlier, do not put high expectations on the food as it was very disappointing to us. The price meanwhile was pretty expensive based on the food portion where it was just average to small as well and the whole bill came and it's about RM39.00 including tax. Good Luck to you! Leisure: Chinese New Year Decorations 2011 at Sunway Pyramid

Hi All,

Welcome back again to yet another edition of Chinese New Year Decorations 2011 at Sunway Pyramid. This year's decoration at Sunway Pyramid was rather simple yet attractive as well. If you arrived at the concourse area, you will see 3 big statue of human symbolizing the Orchestra Of Prosperity. It's also Sunway Pyramid theme for this year and it's called "An Orchestra Of Prosperity" happening from 14th Jan till 17th Feb 2011. You can see lots of human statue and the costume wear of orchestra being displayed throughout the mall and it's very nice too.

Actually we did not plan to go Sunway Pyramid for today but it's just because of the heavy traffic jam at Mid Valley as we had changed our plan to Sunway Pyramid. I would recommend you to come over here to enjoy the beautiful decorations and of course there will be lots of great performances from various traditional Chinese community including the Lion Dance and the Chinese Cultural Dance will be doing their performance at Sunway Pyramid concourse area here. Food Hunt: Papa John's Pizza, Sunway Pyramid

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt. It was a chaotic day for us as it was raining whole day long and the best thing is, we are suppose to go Mid Valley during lunch time but ended up going to Sunway Pyramid as the crawl was about 2KM away and hardly we can enter Mid Valley. But in Sunway, it was rather a different story where parking was available easily during lunch break.

We reach Sunway Pyramid about 12 noon and of course we started to crave for good food. Of course, we have selected Papa John's Pizza as our menu choice of the afternoon. The crowd that time was just average and not many people. Once we sat down, we were brought a menu and the service was rather fast. We've ordered Set Meal A which consists of A Breadsticks, Potato Wedges, 2 glasses of Coke and a pizza which you can choose from. We've chosen BBQ Chicken with Beef as our pizza of the day.

Overall, the food was just average and not so nice as expected. I would have admit that it's a very healthy pizza as it has less oil and fat. But the food quality os not as good as Domino's and Pizza Hut. We've ordered thin crust pizza and the thin crust taste was just like a soda biscuit. It was not so nice but still acceptable. The portion of the pizza was just average as well as the potato wedges. But the breadsticks was very nice as it's large in size and the smell was great.

The price meanwhile was pretty reasonable too as it was priced at RM33.50 plus tax. It's up to you whether you love healthy pizza or not. But I can tell you that Papa John's Pizza is a healthy pizza and you should try it. Although in my blog, I will definately give points based on the taste of the food, Papa John's Pizza is definately a letdown and not so nice as expected. Food Hunt: Ring Of Fortune by Pizza Hut

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and YES! The spirit of Chinese New Year is just around the corner and I bet you would like to try out many special dishes that will delighted yourself. ME & Alan had gone to Pizza Hut to try out the Ring Of Fortune which was introduced by Pizza Hut. Wondering how it tastes like?

The illustration says it all but it was a rather disappointing as they original picture shown was not exactly as it seems. It was very small portion and the shape also does not look alike. ME & Alan paused for a while and once we looked at it, we feel like oops! Alright, no rocket science or anything but just an ordinary pizza. The only thing is there's a lot of cheese but the pizza taste was just normal and nothing special about it. Still, you need to eat it with Chili Flakes, Tabasco, Cheesy Flakes to make it more tastier than its original taste.

The price meanwhile was very expensive. For a Combo Meal for 2-3 persons, it costs about RM29.00 per set (not plus government tax 6% yet). As usual, the sets contains a soup of the day, 2 glasses of drinks, a garlic bread and a regular pizza. Nothing to impress and do not get lied by the posters lying everywhere. Still it's normal to eat like a regular pizza as I taught it should be tasty as it seems. Enjoy! MY RATING: 3/5 ; ALAN RATING: 3/5

My Comments: This comedy series revolves around Ah Beng and Ah Lian, who both live under one roof, but dislike each other with a vengeance. This is a sitcom and it is currently airing at Astro Wah Lai Toi CH311. It was a great sitcom and I am sure you will laugh off your seats as this sitcom is a real hit among the Chinese Community in Malaysia. Recommended to watch. MY RATING: 5/5

My Comments: YES! Homecoming is what we are going to do during the Chinese New Year holidays where I will going back to my hometown to celebrate Chinese New Year with my parents. It was indeed a great moments every year and this is the movie we should watch druing the festive season. Today, ME & Kimmy spend the whole day at the Golden Triangle area to walk around while enjoying the beautiful decorations on shopping malls and of course to watch movie as well. We had watched this movie at GSC Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur and it's been a while where I stepped in Pavilion to watch movie. Out of our expectation, this movie is simply brilliant. I did not expect this movie to be good as it contains a great sense of humour for our Malaysian and Singaporean style.

This movie running time would be 90 minutes and out of the 60 minutes, I laugh non-stop at the cinemas as it serves a great jokes around especially during Chinese New Year season. This movie is full of jokes and of course the storyline was great too and easy to understand. The storyline stress about the journey home for reunion dinner and the obstacles they had encountered. It's all about family reunion and how to preserve the reunion tradition and it was indeed a happy movie to watch. You may bring your family or couple to watch this movie and remember to bring a lot of tissue papers because you will laugh until you cry! The casts of Jack Neo, Ah Niu and Afdlin Shauki makes a perfect combination and will bring maximum laughter for you too. It's a cheerful movie to watch for everyone and last but not least, wish you drive safely home for Chinese New Year! Enjoy the movie! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

Leisure: Chinese New Year Decorations 2011 at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur

Hello All,

Welcome back and of course we continued our journey after Pavilion KL to Berjaya Times Square to see the decorations there and it does not dissapoint us as well. We walked all the way to Berjaya Times Square from Pavilion KL to see the atmosphere there. This year theme would be "A Reunion Of Tradition" happening from 10th January to 17th February 2011. The crowd is so busy and so packed at Berjaya Times Square and we hardly have a time over there as shoppers began their shopping spree ahead of the Chinese New Year.

Once you stepped in the entrance of Berjaya Times Square, there will be a great tanglung displays and also a mini traditional hut displayed in front and you can take pictures over there. There will also be blossom flowers as well as some old vehicle displayed over there. Over at the centre court, you actually see a old traditional long chinese house displayed and in front of the house would be the reunion table where artificial food being displayed with a large table symbolizes the reunion where Chinese will gather among themselves a day before Chinese New Year. It was a great theme and do remember reunion dinner is the most important and please do go home for reunion dinner. It was a great decorations as well and I would recommend you come over here to check it out yourself.
