Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt. Today ME & Kimmy had visited 1 Utama Shopping Centre and then we enjoy watching movie and of course did some windows shopping. After that it's time for dinner and we will be bringing you yet another edition of Food Hunting and this time Kimmy had suggested that we go for Pizza Milano located at the newly renovated Old Wing.
We reached the restaurant at about 7.30pm and it was full as many muslim customers waiting for their time to break fast during the Ramadan season. So we walk around and waited for around 8.15pm before we go back and surprisingly the restaurant was pretty empty with a few tables occupied only. The staff are pretty friendly especially the boss of the restaurant who are super friendly as well. We were seated and presented with the menu and we browse through to see what is served in the restaurant. After browsing through the menu, I saw they served mainly pasta, spaghetti and pizza in the restaurant.
Without any hesitation, I've ordered the portions that both of us can share as well and therefore we've ordered a Mexicana Pizza (Large) (RM13.99), Spaghetti S.Aglio Olio (RM9.00) and 2 glasses of Ice Lemon Tea for RM5.00 (RM2.50 each). It does not take very long for the food to arrive since there are less customers in the restaurant and it only takes about 10 minutes. The food portion is average and not so big as expected but the price is pretty reasonable as well. The Mexicana Pizza was just average and they are pretty stingy in giving the toppings and ingredients. Although the size is above average (8 pieces can be shared by 2 persons), I can feel that I can only taste the bread more than the ingredients or toppings on the pizza. The Spaghetti S.Aglio Olio is above average and the portion is acceptable as well. I can feel that they are not stingy in this dish but not for the pizza. The Ice Lemon Tea is nice and I would say it really brings up my appetite after drinking it.
The price we pay is about RM30.80 plus 10% Service Charge only. I would say the price is reasonable based on the food we get but it's still not the cheapest. They should be more generous in giving more toppings and ingredients. Overall, the pizza and spaghetti is acceptable and worth of a try but do not put such a high expectations on its dishes too.
