Food Hunt: Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, The Curve Shopping Centre (Update 2)

Today is Kimmy Birthday and it's a special day for her as well. Well, our dinner would be very special tonight as it's her birthday. In the same time, we would like to recap on what we did on the year 2009 where both of us also have our dinner here as well and it's also to celebrate Kimmy's birthday. This year 2012 we are back again and it has been 3 years since we visited this restaurant call The Bubba Gump Shrimp Company located the The Curve Shopping Centre.

We reached the restaurant at about 7.45pm and the restaurant is very packed as it's berbuka puasa time and we have to wait after 8.00pm to get our seats. Finally at 8.30pm, we got our seats and we were immediately served with the menu. Since 3 years we never came back and today we are back again and we totally forget what we've ordered previously (by not reading the blog) and we browse through the menu again to see what we can actually eat here. I know this restaurant is very famous for its shrimp and of course we decided to try it as well. After looking for about 10 minutes, we've decided what to eat and drink as well. We've ordered the Bubba's After The Storm: Bucket Of Boat Thrash Combo which comprises of a mixture of fried lobster tail, shrimps and fish fillet that served together with fries (RM43.90) as well. Then it came with a butter and tomato sauce and a bowl of mini salad as well. For drinks, I've ordered the Mango Sparkler (RM12.90) and Kimmy ordered Jenny's Favourite (RM13.90). It does not take very long for the food to arrive as we only waited for about 10 minutes despite the large crowd at the restaurant and their service is very good indeed. Thumbs up for their friendly and fast service as well. Now let's go straight to the food rating today. The After The Storm: Bucket Of Boat Thrash Combo which comprises of a mixture of fried lobster tail, shrimps and fish fillet that served together with fries is simply awesome. This is the best ever fried seafood platter that I've ever eat and I would say it's perfect. The shrimps is very delicious and fresh while the lobster tail and fish fillet are crunchy and nice too. AWESOME! The fries is rich of potato flavour and it's really nice and fried into perfection. The drinks meanwhile was nice and perfect too. The Mango Sparkler was nice and tasty with the sweet and sparkling sour flavour and it's simply lovely and fits the main course that we've ordered today. For the Jenny's Favourite, it was nice and tasty as well as it's just like a yogurt drink. Both of us would strongly recommend you to come over here to try out the food and the food & drinks that we ordered too.

The bill came and we have to pay for about RM83.15 plus 10% Service Charge and 6% Government Tax. It's expensive but overall is food is perfect and both of us simply love it. As I said, you can try it once in a while if you feel that it's very pricey. It's a great place to hang out with your friends and family especially who are looking for great food to dine and Bubba Gump is the place to come. Remember, they have a motto (from the movie Bubba Gump): MAMA ALWAYS SAID LIFE IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATE, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GONNA GET. Strongly recommended and enjoy your meal.
