Food Hunt: Claypot Briyani House, Kota Damansara
Dear All,
Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon where ME & Alan just got back from the restaurant. This time around we've heard there's a nice Claypot Briyani Rice located at Kota Damansara and we planned to go there for a try.
We reach Claypot Briyani House located at The Strand, Kota Damansara at about 1.15pm and it was lunch break. It was quite a lot of people in the restaurant and they patiently waiting for their claypot briyani rice. Once we sat down, we were immediately served with a menu. We patiently looked at the menu and found out that the choices is quite a lot and we've decided to give the claypot briyani rice a try. I've ordered the Claypot Mutton Briyani Rice (RM13.90) while Alan ordered the Claypot Turkey Briyani Rice (RM13.90). For drinks, both of us ordered the Mango Lassi drink (RM4.90 each).
It does not took very long for the food to arrive and it was absolutely nice. Once I opened the claypot cover, the fragrance of the rice and the food came out and it looks so tempting. I guess by looking at the pictures, you will feel tempted as well. Well, the Claypot Mutton Briyani Rice does not dissapoints us. It was above average and nice too. They also serves a plate of curry and a dressing to be mixed with rice as well. The portion of the claypot is very less but the portion of the mutton is a lot too and I guess it's worth the money that you pay. The same goes to the Claypot Turkey Briyani rice. It was above average and nice too. Both of us eventually enjoyed the food till the maximum. For the Mango Lassi drink, it was nice and refreshing too. Worth a try!
It depends on how you tell about the price as Alan told alexleow-kimmy.com that based on the portion, it was not worth to pay RM13.90 but for me I think it's standard because we still get to get a big portion of mutton or turkey instead of the rice since mutton and turkey is quite expensive items too. Besides mutton and turkey, there's fish, chicken, crab, seafood etc. claypot briyani rice can be found on this restaurant and I believe they are equally good too. It's worth a try if you love briyani rice. Oh ya! I forgot to inform you guys that this food outlet is operated by Indian so it's called the Indian Style Claypot Briyani Rice. Overall, it;s nice and you will simply love it! Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; ALAN RATING: 4/5
