Travel: Taman Tasik Perdana, Kuala Lumpur

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Travel where today ME & Kimmy had visited Taman Tasik Perdana located at Kuala Lumpur. It's a strategic place to go especially when you are bored going to the malls or if you're a tourist reading this, it's a good place for dating and to relax yourself. It's a huge park and you can eventually spend about half day visiting it. A warning you where you should visit it during the evenings and not in the afternoon as it's very hot.

When you entered the park from the parking lot, you can eventually walk into the park just like a maze with small trees surrounding the park and it was amazing. If you love photography, that is also a place to be as the scenery is nice and you can go for photography. Besides, this is also a great place for family picnic as well. It's green scenery can make you felt refreshing and in the same time allowing your kids to play around and it promises to be a great family outings as well. The best part is, the admission for this park is free of charge. Also there's a lot of places of visit at the park including the Bird Park, Butterfly Park, Deer Park, Herbs and Conservatory Gardens and an Orchid Garden.

Why not if you are in Kuala Lumpur for holidays or what so ever reason, do drop by at the Lake Garden located at the hearts of the city and enjoy the green scenery that would make your mood good for the entire day. If you love jogging, this is a good place for you as many people would jog here as well because it has the most shades that can protect you from the hot sun. That's all from me. Just enjoy the photos that I will be posting it and you can see the surroundings of the park. Also please check out my Facebook to view the full photos. Enjoy. MY RATING: 5/5

Food Hunt: Dontaku Ramen Japanese Restaurant, 1 Utama Shopping Centre

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt where today ME & Kimmy had visited 1 Utama yet again for another shopping time as we know Isetan just opened its doors today. Apart from that, we also go for a movie before settling down for a dinner which we have chosen a Japanese Restaurant to dine in. We have not decide what to eat apparently until we reach this restaurant and Kimmy planned to give it a try. I am OK with it and we dine in there. Once we reach the restaurant, the seats were almost snapped up but luckily there's 1 or 2 tables available for seating. We sat down and we were immediately served with the menu. We browse through the menu and we are tempted by the menu as it contains lots of varieties of food for us to choose from including Ramen to Sushi's. There's set menu as well. Oh yea! You can also try out their steamboat (Nabe) as well as they served lots of different types as well.

The environment was good and it was clean. It took us about 10 minutes to look at the menu before we called for order. I've ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Don Set (RM17.00) while Kimmy ordered Salmon Chirashi Don Set (RM18.80). Now here's the dissapointing part. We have to wait for approximately 30 minutes before the food reached us but the weird thing is those who arrived late after us got their food first instead of us. We are not happy and keep on pushing the waiter and waitress on the status of our food. They said that some ingredients are still cooking and preparing and not ready to serve yet. I am pretty dissapointed and quite angry with them.

Let's talk about the food. After waiting for about 30 minutes, the food finally arrived and we whacked the food up quickly as we are hungry. The portion for both of out set is pretty average but that's for sure it's still not enough for me because I am a big eater. I must say the portion of the rice is big but the overall set itself looks small to average. The Teriyaki Chicken Don Set is nice and the taste is good too. The same goes to Kimmy's Salmon Chirashi Don Set. Both sets are delicious and irresistible. The Salad, Kimchi and Peas are nice too but the portion is pretty small. The green tea taste is just normal and nothing so special about it and it's free flowing too.

Teriyaki Chicken Don Set (RM17.00)

Salmon Chirashi Don Set (RM18.80)

The bill came and we have to pay a total of RM41.55 including 10% Service Charge and 6% Government Tax as well. I must say the price is pretty expensive based on the set we get as it's not too huge. But luckily the quality of the food is there and it's overall nice. But be aware that do not go during crowded times as you might need to wait for a long time for the food to arrive and it does test your patience. Even the waiter and waitress will tell you to wait as well. I would still recommend you to come over here to try out the food and I am coming back to try out their sushi's next time. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

________________________________________________________

My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy were at GSC 1 Utama to catch a movie which in my opinion should be a nice movie as the name says it all. Yes, it's Wrath Of The Titans. It talks about the gods battle against the evil and can mankind help gods to save the world? It also features about the Greek ancient times and its predecessors. This movie plot is simply better than the first Clash Of The Titans and the storyline is interesting as well and it's not boring though. The action was kindly sluggish where I can't really see what they are fighting and the camera angle was poor too. This movie is an action and adventurous movie where the good man always try to defeat the evil and will they prevail? A battle that not to be missed. The main actor Sam Worthington is quite impressive in this movie knowing that he could save the world and he does the job well too. An action movie simply not to be missed and I would recommend you to come over to watch this movie which is currently showing in cinemas at press time. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

________________________________________________________

My Comments: Today I saw this movie via DVD and I was amazed with the movie with several reasons. The location of this film makes me amazed while another reason is because the quality of the movie has a great quality and has the compatibility against the Hollywood movie. Introducing The Viral Factor. This movie is filmed 20% in Jordan and the remaining 80% filmed in the hearts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was an action packed movie with the casts of Nicholas Tse and Jay Chou who filmed this movie at several places in Kuala Lumpur including Putrajaya, Police Headquarters, KL High Court, Jalan Bukit Bintang, KLCC and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Not only that, this movie has several action scenes that was filmed in Kuala Lumpur and it's first of its kind in Malaysia where no international movies had done this before besides a movie from Jackie Chan years back. Have you seen cars being knocked off the streets of Kuala Lumpur and most importantly have you seen car bang into Pavilion and several shops located around Putrajaya and Bukit Bintang area and the shooting scenes around KL town?

Well, this movie says it all as it contains all these elements inside and now you see it. The action was great while the storyline was good too and it has the quality as per Hollywood type of movie. Also the casts which give a huge boosts to this movie and of course it will be Jay Chou second action movie of all after The Green Hornet. Nicholas Tse has the required experience for lots of action movie as well. I would recommend you to watch this movie if you have not watched in big screens before and you won't regret watching this movie. Thanks to Dante Lam who had chosen Malaysia as it's destination for filming of this movie and it was impressive. Once again, you should watch this movie. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5

Travel: Seen Hock Yeen Temple (善学院玉皇宫殿), Chemor, Ipoh, Perak

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Travel with me again. Today ME & my family had eventually gave a simple tour to this famous temple in Chemor where they claimed is very famous in Malaysia and many people have visited this temple at all cause to get blessings from the Goddess of Mercy including those who wants to get good results in school examinations, blessings for wealth and so on. This temple claimed by tourist as the most beautiful temple in Malaysia as they said its building infrastructure is as same as those in ancient China and it was so beautiful when you look from outside. Some also claimed that it's a Hidden Gem of Malaysia as well. Please see picture.

This temple has a lot of place to walk around besides praying. You can eventually seen 12 gold plates chinese zodiac that was placed beside the temple. It also has a big lake with huge pathway that you all can visit. As a first timers, we were surprised to see such a magnificent temple with a pagoda, carp in ponds, images of dragons and lions, calligraphic couplets and crafted buildings hidden off the Chemor-Sungai Siput main road. A breathtaking views of the temple could also be a tourist attraction and this is why I rated it's the best in Malaysia too. A good place to visit no matter you're here to pray or to attend any prayers procession but a good and breathtaking views of the temple can eventually make yourself happy! I have to remind you that this place is kind of hard to locate and do use your GPS to locate you over there. Before you could turn in the temple, there's a small signboard (in yellow) that you could see asking you to turn in but please do not miss it. Drive some 500 meters through the village roads that could lead you to the temple. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT)

Food Hunt: Jeti Seafood Restaurant, Pasir Penambang, Kuala Selangor

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt where ME & Kimmy and the whole family had actually planned for an outing today and of course to go there for seafood feast. So, we've decided to check in Kuala Selangor as our destination today as Kimmy's Family and ME went there for a walk and then for food in conjunction with Kimmy's mother birthday. Of course, we also visited Bukit Malawati and right after that, we've headed straight over to Pasir Penambang for a seafood dinner. Can't wait for that actually.

We have chosen Jeti Seafood Restaurant located at the end of the road as you drive in the fishing village and this restaurant was fully packed even we reach there around 6.30pm. The tables are almost fully occupied but however we manage to pick a nice seat for ourselves and we manage to sat just beside the river and the view was simply breathtaking. We can enjoy our dinner and in the same time enjoy our beautiful view as well. Let's see what we've ordered. We've ordered the Oyster Omelet (Hor Jian), Sweet Crab, 3 Big King Vegetables, a Vegetable (Nai Bak), Assam Fish and a plate of 'Mantou'. The dishes we ordered seems delicious and suits our taste as well. The portion we ordered is medium size which can cater 5 person. It takes about 10 minutes for the food to arrive and I would say it's fast anyway.

Mantou & Nai Bak

3 Big Kings Vegetables

Sweet Sauce Crab

Let's see the food comments straight away. The Oyster Omelet (Hor Jian) is nice as well as the sauce too. It's sweet and tasty and the oyster is pretty fresh as well. The sweet crab was pretty nice as well but I am not a big fan of crabs so I did not eat much. It's fresh and the there's plenty of flesh as well on those crabs. The 3 Big King Vegetables is very good as it's cooked together with Belacan and it's spicy too. A must try dish when you visit this restaurant. The Nai Bak Vegetables are pretty normal and nothing much to brag about. The Assam Fish meanwhile is fresh where we ordered the Pomfret fish and it's very fresh. The Assam sauce was very nice to drink as the sweet and sour is just nice. Another recommended dish to order. Last but not least is the Mantou (Bun). The bun is tasty and hot and it's best served with the crab sweet sauce. You are advised to eat it together as it will definitely satisfy you taste buds.

Assam Pomfret Fish

Oyster Omelet (Hor Jian)

The price is not too expensive considering the amount of food we've ordered. For 5 medium dishes plus a bun meal, it costs us about RM125.00. I think it's pretty reasonable as we get to eat seafood and most importantly the dishes prepared are overall nice to eat. What a meal to end a beautiful Sunday evening. I would recommend you to come over to Jeti Seafood Restaurant to try out the food over here as it would be delicious to eat. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

Food Hunt: Bull Run Corner (牛魔王碳烧扒座), Bandar Manjarala

Dear All,

Fancy of some Western Food and among the best in town? Yes, you've found one and special thanks to Kimmy who introduce this place and it's located at the hearts of Bandar Manjarala. Since it's dinner time on a beautiful Saturday evening, ME & Kimmy had decided to dine in there. We had a tough time finding parking over there as we have to park quite far away and we walked towards the restaurant. We reached the restaurant at about 8.00pm and the restaurant is packed with the crowd and with no choice, we have to sit outside the restaurant.

We manage to sit down and then take a look at the menu. The service was good as there are several waiter and waitress standing outside to take our order. We browse through the menu and I found there's a lot of choices of Western Food ranging from Spaghetti to Poultry Chops. There's also set cater for you as well. I've ordered the Set One which consists of a main course, a drink and a mushroom soup + a mini bread with butter (RM19.90). For the main course, I've ordered the Grilled Chicken Chop with Mushroom Sauce, Umbra Plum for drinks and a mushroom soup + a mini bread with butter. For Kimmy, she ordered the Ala-carte Sizzling Chicken Chop with Onion Sauce (RM13.90) and for drinks she ordered Fresh Starfruit Juice (RM4.00).

The Grilled Chicken Chop with Mushroom Sauce is very nice and very special indeed. The chicken is easy to chew and it tastes like an imported chicken as it's very tender and juicy. The Mushroom Sauce is nice too and it's very special from others as it's white in colour and almost the same color as the mushroom soup and the taste is nice and special. For Kimmy's Sizzling Chicken Chop with Onion Sauce, the taste of the chicken looks same as mine as it is tender and juicy. The Onion Sauce is very nice too. For the mushroom soup, it's very special and rich of mushroom flavour. It is very nice indeed. Thumbs up! The bread that comes with butter also taste good as the bread is soft and hot and when you eat it with the butter, it tastes nice too. For the drinks, the Umbra Plum that I've ordered is rich of umbra plum flavour and it suits my taste and boost my appetite too. For Kimmy's Fresh Starfruit Juice, it's very nice too as it was fresh and not too sweet.

Overall we really enjoyed the meal tonight as all the food that we order tonight is very tasty and suits our taste. After finishing our meal, we are still talking about the food over here and it's all about positive feedback about this restaurant and the food. The total bill we pay is RM37.80 with no service nor government tax and I think is reasonable and not overpriced and most importantly, the food is in good shape with good quality. I would strongly recommend you to come over here to try out the Western Food over here especially the Poultry Chops that would 100% satisfy your needs. Enjoy your food folks! MY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT) ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT)
