Politics: Final Verdict GE-13, who will stand out as winners?
By Alex Leow Sze Shen
Welcome back everyone!
It's once again our rights to vote yet again and we Malaysians will be heading for the polls on 5th May 2013. The country's most anticipated event for all Malaysians to walk out to vote no matter rain or shine. And I have to say among all the Elections, the GE-13 would be the most fierce and the most tightly contested General Election of all times.
On papers, most of the Rakyat are unhappy with the Barisan Nasional policy and many had vowed to change. What Barisan Nasional had done? Barisan Nasional had eventually done a lot of mistakes in the past where a few negative factors had haunted them such as No.1 country in the world that's involved in Corruption, giving free IC's to Sabah people, hike in cost of living and burder the Rakyat and many more. Of course, we live in fear under the Basiran Nasional ruling which consists of MCA, MIC and UMNO. I would not elaborate more on this issue but just to highlight some important points about it.
For me, what PR had done although they are not the federal government. Having wrest 5 states in the previous general elections except Perak whom Barisan Nasional had eventually taken over (not legally) from them with Kelantan, Penang, Kedah and Selangor are equally doing well and manage to treat their Rakyat better. A big achievement for Pakatan Rakyat led states.
On paper, Pakatan Rakyat can toppled the Barisan Nasional Government to wrest Putrajaya from them but anything can happen before the final whistle. I would predict Pakatan Rakyat to win with 140 Parliamentary Seats compared to BN with 82 seats only. Many questions will be asked including will there be any phantom voters during the election day? Will Bangladesh or other foreigners able to vote on election day? If there's is, this would be a very dirty election indeed and we definitely do not want to see that. The best General Election ever to watch and stay tuned to alexleow-kimmy.com and Alex Leow Sze Shen Facebook Page for the Election Results tomorrow. May the best party wins!
