Food Hunt: Vietnam House, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya

Welcome back to yet another Food Hunt. Today ME & Kimmy had visited 1 Utama Shopping Centre to catch the glimpse of the Christmas Decorations there and in the same time for the year-end shopping sale. It was a great atmosphere at the shopping mall as it was super packed and crowded as well. We've also decided to settle for dinner there as well. We have a toguh time making a decision on what to eat and finally Kimmy had given an idea to eat Vietnamese Food today and both of us agreed. The restaurant that we have chosen is Vietnam House located at the refurbished Old Wing.

We reached the restaurant at about 7.00pm and the crowd is pretty less until 8.00pm onwards where the crowd slowly filled up the restaurant. Upon sitting at the restaurant, we took about 10 minutes to look at the menu and to decide what to order and eat. We have decide to order the Set Menu. I've ordered the Set 1: Beef Noodle (RM16.90) while Kimmy ordered Set 3: Chicken Noodle Soup (RM15.90). It does not take very long for the food to arrive and it only takes about 5 minutes. The service is good and fast too. The Set 1: Beef Noodle consists of a bowl of Beef Noodle, bean sprout, salad, fried wantan, a bowl of soup and fruits (watermelon) being served to you as well. There's also different types of chilli for you to choose from too. For the Set 3: Chicken Noodle Soup, it consists of a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup, fried wantan, salad, a bowl of soup of the day and fruits (watermelon) as well. For drinks, I've ordered Soya Bean Milk Ice (RM3.90) while Kimmy ordered the Iced Drinking Water (RM1.00).

Beef Noodle Set (RM16.90)

The Beef Noodle is a must try and must order during your visit here to Vietnam House. The soup is very nice and it tastes similiar like the Chinese Ba Kut Teh soup. It was tasty and delicious plus the beef is very fresh indeed that makes this bowl of beef noodle tastes very nice and a must try. For other dishes that included in the set, it was just normal. Meanwhile the Chicken Noodle Soup is not so tasty as the Beef Noodle. It tastes just normal and not recommended to order as well. For drinks, the Soya Bean Milk is nice and it's fresh too.

The bill came and we have to pay around RM43.75 including 10% Government Tax and 6% Service Charge. The price is pretty expensive considering you are only eating a bowl of noodles that comes with pretty cheap items that was included with the set. But besides only consuming set, they also served other Ala-carte Vietnamese dishes to cater your cravings as well. I would still recommend you to come over here to try their food and you will be amazed by its lovely restaurant interior decoration and cozy environment. Enjoy your food over there.
