____________________________________________________________

My Comments: It was a great Sunday evening as ME & Kimmy had eagerly planned for a movie outings after several weeks without a great entertainment for ourselves. Besides, we've also go for shopping and I manage to get something for myself and I am pretty happy with today's outings as well. We've managed to catch the movie Hotel Transylvania and it's almost going to end screening soon as it's already passed a month. This is an animation movie that was directed by Genndy Tartakovsky and it's a rather funny and entertaining movie instead of a scary movie. The storyline is made for children and there's no logic at all in all circumstances and it's just for the kids potentially an early school holidays spree. Oh ya! This movie is also for the whole family to enjoy as well. It talks about a Dracula who owned a hotel and he only allowed the monsters to stay at the hotel as he and the monsters hatred the human race very much. Then one lucky humans manage to sneak into the hotel quietly and then what will happen? There's lots of jokes, fun and music for you to enjoy and I can assure that this movie will be not bored and you will just laugh off your seats as well. It's a good movie whilst you wanted to take a break to enjoy it yourself or with your family as well. There's some sad yet valuable scenes that we can cherish from this movie as well.Enjoy this fun filled movie. MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

___________________________________________________________

My Comments: Today I am at home and planning to watch DVD on a long weekend. This time I have chosen Men In Black 3 as my choice of DVD movie this time around. As you know there are too many movies out in cinemas where we are unable to catch most of them unless you are very free and have nothing to do. Men In Black 3 is a very cool and adventurous movie and it talks about special mission to save planet world. Lead by famous singer and experience actor Will Smith, this movie is really a great movie to catch and you can apparently laugh out loud on this movie as well. The storyline is simple but it's packed with actions but just some mild actions that can be seen. It's not too offensive and the weapon they use to kill the enemy's is mostly the space guns. It was entertaining where the storyline goes like this where Will Smith try to save the Agents from dying and he must travel back in time to save the world. Can he do it? Overall, I would recommend you to get yourselves a DVD to watch this movie where once again it was fun and entertaining movie to catch and it's almost as nice as its previous Men In Black series. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5

Leisure: NEW BHPetrol Infinity Advance 2X....The Premium Fuel

Hi All,

Welcome back to yet another review of fuel / petrol brand in Malaysia and today I would love to review another new fuel that was introduced by yet another giant company in Malaysia. Introducing the new petrol from BHPetrol which is the Infinity Advance 2X..The Premium Fuel. Previously I was a happy BHPetrol customer and I am using this fuel all the way until now. I am very proud of BHPetrol as they came out another new petrol and they claimed that it would improved mileage and more power! Other petrol brands still would not satisfy me.

I've tried this new petrol since the day it launches at BHPetrol Sg. Kayu Ara and now it's my 3rd tank already. Frankly speaking, the previous petrol is really good as it's powerful and it clocked more mileage as compared to other petrol. Now with this new petrol, it's even more powerful and the mileage does not improve much and plus minus a few kilometers extra only. The main reason why BHPetrol is more powerful is because of the additives that causes the complete and perfect burning of the fuel on your car which never leave dirty deposits on your engine and in the same time it acts as a cleaning agents on your car. With all these, you will not need to step your pedal more and this would lead into saving petrol.

If you are still on other brands, do not hesitate to change your mind to BHPetrol and feel the power out from this petrol. You try it first and feedback to me. I would guarantee you there's changes if compared to other petrol brands in Malaysia. Here's the latest ranking of the petrol brands in Malaysia. Enjoy yourself a full tank of BHPetrol Infinity Advance 2X..The Premium Fuel. MY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT)

For more information, please check out: BHPetrol Official Website

Latest Ranking Of Fuel Brands In Malaysia (From powerful to low power):

1.) BHPetrol Infinity Advance 2X (The Premium Petrol)

Leisure: U Mobile

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another product reviews from alexleow-kimmy.com. This time around I would like to review on one of the latest telecommunications company being setup at Malaysia. U Mobile Sdn Bhd is Malaysia’s newest 3G service provider and was founded in 1998 as MiTV Networks Sdn Bhd. U Mobile is a wholly owned subsidiary of U Television Sdn Bhd which was formerly known as U Telecom Media Holdings Sdn Bhd and MiTV Corporation Sdn Bhd. Utilising the 018 prefix allocated to the organisation by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), U Mobile seeks to enrich the lives of consumers by making communication, entertainment and information easily accessible through advance technology via one convenient, ubiquitous platform. In addition to offering mobile telephony and mobile data, U Mobile intends to be Malaysia’s first ever true mobile TV service provider with its Mobile LiveTV service that utilises internationally accepted Digital Video Broadcast – Handheld (DVB-H) technology. U Mobile targets to commence its mobile service and Mobile LiveTV user trial before the end of 2007. Based on Bloomberg's feed, KT Freetel, one of U Mobile's foreign investor, has announced that it is selling its 16.5% stake (62.6 million shares) to U Mobile’s major shareholder.

Now its headquarters is established at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur and it was owned by Vincent Tan. Let me do a short review on U Mobile Coverage, Rates and it's Data Connection. Let's talk about the coverage of U Mobile. U Mobile is widely used in Malaysia and it has a wide coverage mainly in 3 states including the Klang Valley, Ipoh and Johor Bahru. In other states, U Mobile will used the Maxis coverage and it's also known as Domestic Roaming. Now you can roam in 3G as well. The coverage is not a problem and I would say it's stable and there's line almost everywhere in this 3 states else it will be domestic roaming. For call rates, it's not the cheapest for phone calls for all the plans but the most attractive comes from its data plan. For postpaid customers, you can select the package from RM28 onwards till RM88 with attractive data plan ranging from 1GB to 3GB. The calls per minute is between RM0.18 to RM0.20 respectively for all postpaid plan and it comes with a free calls up to 300 minutes. Please refer table below.

For prepaid plan, it's even more rewarding. Some great benefits can be found here where you can get free calls and SMS after you reload, 3X credit validity, free Facebook Credit for games, Free Roaming in Singapore and the best parts would be free calls to any U Mobile Numbers and you can subscribe to Unlimited Internet at either RM18 or RM28 with free calls and SMS as well. Now that's really rewarding isn't it.

For ME, I am currently using the prepaid plan where it was so lovely and a more flexible package that I can enjoy. I bough the SIM Card for RM8 and then topup RM50 and I get free calls to any U Mobile numbers for 50 days (from 12 midnight to 6.59pm daily) else RM0.03 per 30 seconds charging block from 7.00pm - 12 midnight. Besides I get 150 days of validity (RM50 x 3 = 150 days). How lovely isn't it. Even if you seldom make calls, it can lasts you for about 150 days before you need to topup. The best part is where it's even more rewarding and cheap where you can subscribe to Unlimited Internet for wither RM18 or RM28. I took the RM18 package which consists of 250MB quota data usage as well as 25 minutes free calls and 25 free SMS'es for 30 days. Now I can use this at my smartphone already. How cool was that? If you subscribe RM28 which consists of 500MB quota data usage as well as 100 minutes free calls and 30 free SMS'es for 30 days. The data connection meanwhile is good and super fast too with mostly HSDPA connection in the 3 major towns and good in domestic roaming. Do also checkout their broadband package at their website as well and the price is really cheap as well.

With the coolest data plan in town as well as it's the fastest mobile broadband in Malaysia with up to 42MBPS speed, I would say they are the best at the moment and I would strongly recommend you to port or change to U Mobile as it offers you more value not only for postpaid but for prepaid as well. The best part is it's value for money and cheap as well as it's affordable for everyone to use it too. Regarding the coverage it's not a problem and I would say it's nationwide coverage since they have domestic roaming with Maxis 2G and Maxis 3G if U Mobile is not available at the areas. It's the cheapest yet most affordable plan in Malaysia at the moment. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5

Lifestyle: Huawei Ideos U8150 Smartphone

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another gadget review brought to you by alexleow-kimmy.com. This time around, I am going to introduce a budget Android Phone for you and I bet you'll simply love this phone at least based on its price and its functions. Also the design of the phone where it's nice and  Introducing the Huawei Ideos U8150 Smartphone that I've bought and I've used it for a couple of days now (if you read this post was posted today). Huawei did put an effort to partner with Google to come out with this phone and it's good overall.

Basically it's a level entry Android Smartphone that was introduced by Huawei to penetrate the market to fight with Samsung Galaxy Y. It has what it takes as this is a great budget phone in the market. The screen is 2.8" only and it's pretty small and I would say it's very suitable for girls to own this phone as the design is sleek and beautiful design too. It's running on the Android Froyo 2.2 platform and the processor is only about 600MHZ with a 256MB build in RAM and 512MB of ROM. The internal memory is 200MB only. You can just image the speed and when I tried to open certain apps such as Facebook, Foursquare or Whatsapps, it was pretty slow in loading and you definitely have to wait a while. The touch screen uses the capacitive touchscreen and it's pretty smooth too. It has a 3.2 Megapixel Camera (without auto focus and flash) and the quality of the picture isn't look impressive. You can also store a Micro SD card and it can support up to 32GB of space. It has WIFI and a HSDPA connection and can support up to 7.2MBps too. The best part is this phone is it can also act as MIFI and you can share the connection to other users as well. However despite the good of this phone, it has some bad part as well. The battery life was pretty short and you need to charge daily as the battery drains too fast although you did not use the phone or uses the phone excessively. Then the apps offen hang and it forces you to close as well.

This phone was released back in September 2010 and it was about 2 years from now and it's already obsolete. But I guess you can still get the phone online or walk in to any mobile stores to ask for its availability. Overall, it was a budget phone and you cannot expect much on this phone. If you are a previous keypad phone owners, this phone would be suitable for you to play around first before upgrading to a more powerful Android devices. The price of the Huawei Ideos U8150 is ranging from RM259 to RM350 in the market now and it depends on the free items given such as memory card and others accessories and so on. A great budget phone to look into and you will at least not regret of getting it at least a backup phone :) MY RATING: 4/5

Food Hunt: Restoran Sun Yeong Wai ( 新扬威烤鸭), Taman Ipoh Jaya, Ipoh

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and this time ME & Kimmy were on a wedding trip back to Ipoh and of course while we are back to Ipoh, we would like to try out the best Roasted Duck in Ipoh as claimed by the Ipoh people. Of course, I would not want to miss this chance to dine in the restaurant and on a fine Monday afternoon, both of us had visited the restaurant. We reached the restaurant at around 1.45pm and the crowd is very less and it's already after lunch hour I suppose. Many people say that this restaurant is fully packed with people no matter it's lunch or dinner everyday.

We sat down and the waitress came immediately to serve us and asked us what to eat. There is no menu served and the waitress will tell you what they served and you can then placed your order. There are 3 duck flavour to choose ranging from Peipa Duck, Smoked Roast Duck and Herbal Duck. For this time visit, we've decided to give the Smoked Roast Duck (Quarter) (RM12.00) a try. We've also ordered 2 white rice (RM1.00 each) and a salted vegetables (Medium) (RM4.00). For drinks I've ordered Cincau (RM1.60) while Kimmy ordered Herbal Tea (RM1.60).

It does not take very long for the food to arrive and it only takes about 5 minutes for it to reach us. The customer service was good and everything looks good for me. Let's go straight to the food reviews. The Smoked Roasted Duck came first and the presentation was really nice and it's look very tempting. The color of the duck skin looks so nice and great. Once we both put into our mouth, the taste is super incredible and it's very nice indeed. This is the best duck rice I've tasted so far and I would say the best in Ipoh and in the Klang Valley. The smoked roasted duck taste and flavour is there and it's very nice. Then not only that, the portion is very huge too despite we ordered quarter duck only. You should come and taste it because a taste speaks a thousand words. The Salted Vegetables portion is small although it's called medium size. The taste is very special and it's salty and spicy too. The taste is just nice and I would say it's recommended to try as well. The herbal tea and cincau is nice too.

For the price of RM21.20, the price was very cheap and I would say I could not get this price in Klang Valley. Besides, it's air conditioned restaurant with no service nor service charge. I would strongly recommend you to come over to this restaurant to try out the duck here as not only the locals say good but the patrons from other states as well. Besides they are selling duck, they also sell roasted pork and barbequed pork 'char siew' and some locals claimed that their roasted pork and barbequed pork 'char siew' are nice too and you should give it a try. I left the restaurant extremely happy because I am having a great meal over there. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT) ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT)

Food Hunt: Star Village Western Food, Desa Aman Puri, Kepong

Hi All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt where ME & Kimmy had eventually visited this newly opened restaurant located at Desa Aman Puri right here in Kepong. We reached here at about 7.45pm and guess what the restaurant is crowded with people, particularly today is Saturday and that is why the crowd is pack as well.

However the seats are a lot and eventually the crowd is there but still the seats are there as well. We were shown to our seats by a friendly staff over there and then we were then served with the menu. We took about 5 minutes to take a look at the menu and then we have decided what to order. Mainly the food served there are Western Food and then for those of you who love to drink beer, that's the place to be and party as well. I've ordered Black Pepper Chicken Chop (RM15.90) while Kimmy ordered King Sausage with Cheese (RM18.80). For drinks, I've ordered Ice Peach Tea (RM5.50) while Kimmy ordered Ice Honey Lemon (RM6.80).

It does not take very long for the food & drinks to arrive and let's go straight to the food reviews. The 1st food which came to our table would be the drinks. The Ice Peach Tea is so natural and fresh and it's very nice to drink as it's not too sweet. Thumbs up for the Ice Peach Tea. For Kimmy's Ice Honey Lemon, it was also nice and it's strong in honey & lemon taste as well. Recommended both drinks to all of you who are reading this posts now. Next the main course which arrives at our table would be the Black Pepper Chicken Chop. It was a bit letdown for this main course as the Black Pepper Sauce is lack of spicy and sweetness as well and I would say it's not so tasty as it seems. The chicken is fresh and the side dishes such as french fries and salad is nice indeed just only the black pepper sauce that is lack of it. For Kimmy's King Sausage with Cheese, it was nice and perfect. The cheese is nice and once you eat together with the king sausage which is absolutely huge and fresh, it's totally nice and lovely. The side dishes such as french fries and salads are just the same as mine and it's delicious as well. A totally recommendation for the main course that Kimmy ordered.

The bill came and it costs us about RM51.70 for 2 persons. In my opinion, the price we pay would be very expensive considering that the meal that we consume is just nice. It was a total letdown on the Black Pepper Chicken Chop including the taste and its portion but the King Sausage with Cheese saves the day as it's tasty and with the portion is reasonable and it's not too expensive as well. I would recommend you to come over and try the King Sausage with Cheese as well as other dishes that can be found in the menu (mostly serves Western Food) perhaps some other food would be nice as well. Enjoy your meal! MY RATING: 3/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

Food Hunt: Teh Tarik Place, Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today ME & Alan had eventually made our movie to walk from our house all the way to Paradigm Mall to search for food and we have finally decided to have our very own local delights and we have chosen the Teh Tarik Place located at Paradigm Mall. It;s located at the top floor of this mall and since it's a Thursday night, there crowd is pretty less with just a few tables occupied only. This restaurants serves all local cuisines as well as Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng etc. and it's very similar to a mamak stall but it's a high class ones. The environment is good and cozy as well with a very traditional design.

I've looked through the menu located at the cashier's board and for your information, you are required to line up and then ordered at the cashier. After you have paid and then a number will be given to you and you are required to bring the number to your preferred seat and then you display the number there. The food will be then delivered to you. There's quite a lot of choices and both of us have ordered Nasi Lemak as our choice to try out the food over here. I've ordered the Nasi Lemak Sambal Sotong (RM7.20) while Alan ordered Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam (RM8.30). For drinks, I've ordered Teh O Ais Limau (Ice Lemon Tea) (RM3.50) while Alan ordered Ribena Ais (RM3.30). I guess if you seen the price, you will felt it's overpriced for mamak food but for me everything is worth it as long as the food is good.

The food and drinks does not take very long to arrive since there's less crowd at the restaurant. The Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam was a letdown according to Alan. He said the fragrance of the rice is none and the sambal is so watery and not nice at all. The chicken meanwhile is just normal and the rendang sauce is tasteless too. For the Nasi Lemak that I had, I had a different opinion. I think it's above average and nice too especially the Sambal Sotong. The rice meanwhile is acceptable although the fragrance rice is less and the same goes to its original sambal. But the Sambal Sotong is nice and the sambal taste is there as it's spicy and sweet too. A better recommendation of Nasi Lemak Sambal Sotong instead of Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam. The Ribena Ice was good as well as the Teh O Ais Limau. The taste is just like the ones you drink a the normal mamak store and nothing special about it but still the taste is there.

Nasi Lemak Sambal Sotong (RM7.20)
Ribena Ice (RM3.30) & Ice Lemon Tea (RM3.50)
Nasi Lemak Rendang Chicken (RM8.30)
The price we pay is slightly higher than the ones we eat at the normal mamak store and I would say the food is above average overall. If I got a chance, I would not dine here and would have chosen a normal standard mamak stall instead. The total bill we both pay is around RM23.42 including a 5% service charge which I think it should be abolished because we ordered our food at the cashier. I would still recommend you to come over here to try other food and drinks besides the ones we've ordered here perhaps maybe it would be a different taste as well. Enjoy your food! MY RATING: 3/5 ; ALAN RATING: 2/5
