Food Hunt: Tea Garden, Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya

Dear All,

Welcome back to another edition of Food Hunt. This time around ME & Alan had selected Tea Garden at Paradigm Mall Kelana Jaya as our destination for dinner after I had done some shopping earlier on. We reached the restaurant at around 8.30pm and the restaurant is quite packed but not full with people considering it's a weekday. Overall, the mall is quite packed with people.

We were then served with the menu after we were shown into our seats. After consideration, we've decided to take the set dinner which is more value for money. I've ordered SET B (RM14.80) which consists of Chicken Chop Rice, Durian Pudding, Lemon Tea Ice as well a small bowl of Kimchi. Based on the amount of food we get for the set, I must say this set is pretty reasonable and worth of trying it. But it's a slight letdown where not many people would love or accept to eat Durian, so perhaps you can ask them to change to others (subject to availability). Alan ordered SET D (RM13.80) which consists of Braised Duck Noodle Soup, Lemon Tea Ice, Durian Pudding & a small bowl of Kimchi.

It does not take very long for the food to arrive and it only takes about 10 minutes for it to arrive. Let's review the SET D that was ordered by Alan. He told alexleow-kimmy.com that the Braised Duck Noodle Soup was a letdown and it's not nice at all. The taste is just so-so and the flavour is totally out too. Other than that, the drinks (Lemon Tea Ice) is nice as it's strong in Lemon taste while the Durian Pudding and Kimchi is also nice with thumbs up too. For SET A that we ordered by ME, I felt it was nice. The Chicken Chop Rice is nice and tasty too as well as the rice which was then cooked together with egg. Yummy! The durian pudding was also nice as it's rich in durian taste as well the the Ice Lemon Tea which is nice too. The Kimchi is also tasty and I guess it's more tasty than some other Korean Restaurants out there. No joke!

As a conclusion, we paid RM31.45 (including 10% Service Charge only) for both of the sets and I would say it's pretty reasonable too. The SET A is the most recommended SET among all as it looks pretty attractive. Forget about SET D as it's not nice (I'm talking about the main course) of each set. I would recommend you to come over here at Tea Garden as not only it serves Chinese Food but it also serves Western and other delicacies as well. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; ALAN RATING: 3/5

Leisure: Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur Christmas Decorations 2012

Dear All,

It was a busy packed schedule both of us because after having visited Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Farenheit 88 Mall, next we both head towards the next and the last mall of the day which is Berjaya Times Square. We reached there around 3.00pm and it was super crowded with people. Mostly because there's a year end sales going on at the mall and do expect heavy crowd until the end of the year. The reason I was there is not because of the sales that is going on but the Christmas Decorations. Every year, Berjaya Times Square decorations does not impress me and what about this year?

 

 

 

 

The theme for Christmas this year that was set by Berjaya Times Square would be "Santa North Park" and it features some pretty simple decorations on toy soldiers, polar bears and Santa’s magical helpers to the majestic 40 feet Christmas tree planted at the centre of the park. Revel in this festive season with a myriad of entertainment. It was a simple decoration yet again and nothing much to impress except there's some improvement on its entrance where there's Toy Soldiers welcoming the Santa to a small town and it's pretty decent as well. There's also a second part of the decorations which situated at the LG floor where you can actually see Santa's rain deers, polar bears and mistletoe as well. Feel free to take photos with them too and I think it's cute too.

 

 

 

Again, it does not impress me this year too and as expected too. However, I would also recommend you to come over here to take photos and the LIVE scenario tells me so as there's less crowd who took photos there compared to Farenheit 88 and Pavilion KL. If happens you are there for a special purpose, then why not drop by and take some photos of the scenes and if you do not any purpose and just come here for photo shooting, I think it's not a wise choice. Leisure: Farenheit 88 Mall Kuala Lumpur Christmas Decorations 2012

Hello All,

I am back again to our second venue of the day here in the hearts of Kuala Lumpur City and this time ME & Kimmy had travel from 1 shopping mall to another and we have visited Farenheit 88 Mall Kuala Lumpur to take a closer look at its Christmas Decorations this year. Themed "A Pop Up Christmas", Farenheit 88 is ready to bring out the festive cheer that features the famous Doraemon inside the mall. The Christmas Decorations commences from 15th November 2013 to 1st January 2013.

I reached the mall at around 1.00pm and it was not crowded and it was so great for us to take photos as there are less crowds inside the mall. The Christmas Decorations inside this mall is nice and it would be more nicer if you are a big fan of Doraemon as this character was featured together with the Christmas Tree inside Farenheit 88 Mall. It's a purple themed Christmas Tree and the decorations is really simple based on the space that the mall can accommodate and nothing much to shout about seriously except Doraemon who catches attention and do check out their stores selling Doraemon products as well.

However, this mall decorations is more suitable for kids or those who love Doraemon and are a big fan of them. Overall, I would still recommend you to come over here to take photos as the purple color is pretty nice as well. Leisure: Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Christmas Decorations 2012

Welcome back to yet another edition of Christmas Decoration Edition of the year 2012. It has been a year since I make yet another comeback to be back for yet another mall marathon starting this week. The first venue this week that I would visit is definitely Pavilion Kuala Lumpur as the Christmas Decorations had been setup successfully there. This year theme for the Christmas Decoration as Pavilion would be "Bedazzling Christmas" which commence from 15th November 2012 to 1st January 2013. 

I reached the mall around 11.30am and the crowd started to build and getting more and more people. It was crowded when it's noon as many of them would like to take this opportunity to take beautiful photos of the Christmas decorations there. For me, this year theme and the decorations are still nice and if compared to the previous 2 years back in 2010 and 2011, this year is lack of something as I still prefer the decorations back in 2 years. The decorations are just normal and nothing special about it but it's beauty is still there. Outside decorations seems to reduce and from the inside, it was the same too.

Overall, the decorations still deserves its credits and I would still recommend you to come on over to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to experience the Christmas Decorations 2012 here. It's not the best this year but it's already given its shoppers a great feel of Christmas and you will simply love it too. For those who never visited Pavilion KL before, you will feel amazed by its decorations but if you have, you might find it just normal for every year (just like what I felt). Anyway, enjoy your trip to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and have a great shopping and holidays too! My Comments: After watching the 1st Episode of Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Rings, the journey continues on the 2nd chapter. It was a great storyline on the first chapter and what about the second chapter? I watched this 2nd chapter via DVD and I find out that this movie is much more better than the first one. Introducing Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers. It talks about the war between Saruman and the Hobbits accompanied by it's ally. The movie is more action packed than the first chapter while the storyline has become more and more interesting and the second chapter would be definitely better than the first chapter. I was so impressed by Peter Jackson whose idea was splendid and great. In terms of storyline, plot and the action in this movie, it was a step ahead of everything and I would like to give a big applause to him. You must watch this movie no matter what as it is one of the best movie ever in the early 20th century. Be sure you watch the first chapter first before proceeding to watch the second chapter as it's heavily related and linked together. Enjoy this movie. My Comments: Finally I manage to get to watch this movie and many of you would have taught that I am so outdated. Yes, I am so outdated and the movie I've watch is previously one of the most anticipated movie of all time where this movie got lots of awards and being awarded the best movie of the year award. Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring is the movie I am watching. It was a great movie of all times, gathering a few tribes around the world and to fight for justice and to protect the ring from being held back by the bad enemy. The storyline was perfectly executed and it was a great adventurous movie as well thanks to the director Peter Jackson wonderful plot and its storyline. The plot looks alive and kicking where the famous actor and actress such as Elijah Wood, Sir Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Liv Tyler, Sean Astin etc. looks very strong in supporting this movie. It was also an action packed movie from the start till the end and I was very amazed by movie as well. This movie running time is about 208 minutes of fun, thrilled and suspense which gives its audience nothing to be bored about and you can fully concentrate on this movie as well. This movie is quite similar like Alice In Wonderland and Harry Potter but this movie is much more better in terms of everything including the plot, storyline and action. I guess most of you would have watch this movie before 10 years back and if you have not, kindly purchase a DVD and watch this movie at home. No regrets just amazing! Festival: Happy Deepavali

I on behalf of alexleow-kimmy.com would like to wish all Hindu's readers of my blog a Happy Deepavali. May the year 2012 brings luck, prosperity and of course a brighter light to you and your blessed luck in future. Hindu's around the globe celebrate Deepavali (also known as Festival Of Light).

During the Deepavali day, Hindu's will go to the temple to perform their prayers and give blessings to their God. After performing the prayers in the morning, then they will welcomed their invited guests to their house where various food and drinks will be served to their guests. Their traditional cookies during Deepavali are Muruku's and several other cookies such as egg tarts, chocolate cookies, Indian sugar cookies etc. Besides, when you visit your Indian or Hindu friends, you will see their houses will be lighten up with a bundle of lights to celebrate the Festival Of Lights. Kids and adults will celebrate Deepavali with new clothes as a great start to the year and enjoy themselves on that day. 

Remember during this festive season, be extra careful on the roads and drive safely. Don't drink and drive and don't overspeed as well as it kills. Enjoy yourself during the festive season and remember to take care of yourself and don't fall sick. Drink lots of water and keep healthy. HAPPY DEEPAVALI to all! :)

My Comments: After watching Quantum Of Solace the previous day, today ME & Kimmy had step into the cinema to catch the latest James Bond movie called Skyfall. I watched this movie at TGV Aeon Metro Prima in Kepong. Let's go straight to the movie comments. This movie is slightly overrated and I feel the previous movie is better than this ones. The storyline is good but the action is slightly less than the previous episode and I would say there's nothing so special about this movie. Many had said that this movie is very good and gave a very high marks but for me I don't think so. For those who are new to James Bond movie might think this movie is very good indeed. I have to agree with that. I would not say it's bad but overall it's good but still below my expectations. Daniel Craig and Judi Dench are still in the lineup and their acting was superb and good too especially Daniel Craig who are much more stronger in terms of its stunts compared to the previous episodes. It talks about computer hackers in this movie particularly revealing some secret British Agents and the bad guys are trying to assassinate them and kill them including M (the secret agents boss). The plot was outstanding and credits should also goes to Sam Mendes as well with the good storyline too. After watching 2 previous episodes, you will find this nothing special except the stunts which are getting better & better. A lot of mysteries to solve and how to overcome them is the tasks of James Bond this time and to kill the bad guys as well. I would still recommend you to watch this movie although I felt is a bit overrated but it's still a great movie to watch as well. If you are a fan of James Bond, this movie is right for you and do enjoy this movie. MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

My Comments: Today I am at home getting ready to watch the Skyfall tomorrow and today I have some recap on some of Daniel Craig's (Bond) old movie which is Quantum Of Solace. I watch this movie is to specially countdown to the next Bond movie. Frankly speaking, I watch this movie before in 2008 but could not remember how this movie goes and today I watched it again. It was an action packed movie yet entertaining and lots of mystery to solve. The storyline is easy to understand and guess what is happening and Bond have to overcome a lot of mystery and consequences as he wanted to catch and kill the bad guy that setup Bond. Firstly it was hard to understand the storyline as there's a lot of character inside this movie but as it go along, you will be able to understand this movie and guess what is going to happen next till the ending. Daniel Craig performed very well in this movie including Judi Dench who had been acting in Bond movie for such a long time and does not dissapoints as well. No doubt, this movie is one of the best movie in 2008 and now in 2012, there it goes again. Anyway, before you watch Skyfall, you should treat yourself with this movie and get yourself warmed up before the next Bond movie. I would recommend you to watch this movie via DVD and enjoy yourself. MY RATING: 5/5
