Food Hunt: Sushi King, Kepong Village Mall, Kepong

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and once again ME & Kimmy are on yet another hunt for nice food. This restaurant that I'm going to introduce to you has nothing so surprising and it's called Sushi King. I visited this newly opened branch located at Kepong Village Mall to try out their food over here.

We reach the restaurant at around 7.00pm and there are so little people at the restaurant. I would say it's a small restaurant and yet it's less than half of the people eating over there. We browse through the menu and we ordered accordingly. For the drinks, both of us ordered the Hot & Cold Green Tea and for the main course, I've ordered the Oyako Don (RM11.90) while Kimmy ordered the Potato Salad (RM3.00). Besides we also ordered the California Temaki (RM4.00) and Unagi Temaki (RM4.00) respectively. Other than that would be other sushi's such as Ebikko and other delicious sushi ranging from RM3.00 - RM4.00 per plate.

Overall, the food served here is nice but I would like to say the main course Oyako Don is nice and juicy and you should try it. It's wrapped with egg accompanied by pieces of chicken and some onions that would really satisfied your taste buds. You should try this one. For other sushi's, the taste is good but the only thing that is really negative is the rice where it's too soft and it's not so nice and the taste is not up to the standard. But when the rice is eaten together with a different variety of sushi's (e.g. Ebikko) then the taste is still good.

Oyako Don (RM11.90)

The price we pay for overall would be RM47.45 including 10% Service Charge and 6% Government Tax. I would say it's worth it if compared to Sakae Sushi and other sushi outlet out there as we get to enjoy approximately 7 plates of sushi ranging from RM3.00 - RM4.00 per plate. If I ate the same amount of plates in other outlets, I could easily reach RM60++ already. If it happens you are around the Kepong Village Mall, Bandar Manjarala area, do come over here to try out Sushi King and you would love the taste and it's not so crowded over here. Enjoy!
