The prequel to Stephen Chow's famous scholar spoof from the Tang Dynasty returns to the big screen. This time, Tong Pak Fu was sent to a monastery when he was little. During one of his 'secret' excursions with his friends, he bumps into Qian Qian (Zhang Jing Chu) and immediately falls in love with her. Unfortunately, Qian Qian is accused as a spider spirit. During her escape, she falls into a ravine, loses her memory and is given the name of Chau Heung by Madam Hua. |

My Comments: Today Me & Kimmy had a wonderful time where both of us were in Kepong for the whole afternoon till evening where we visited Kepong Village Mall followed by a movie at Jusco Metro Prima TGV Cinemas. We have chosen Flirting Scholars 2 as our movie of our choice. This movie as you know is a follow up prequel from Stephen Chow's movie back in the 90's. But without Stephen Chow, this movie is lack of something that we normally would laugh. Overall, the movie is average and not so funny throughout the whole movie. There's very few scenes where you can laugh your seats off and the storyline meanwhile is not so impressive. Only Chu Mi Mi and Chan Pak Cheong are pretty impressive in this movie that would make you laugh while other artists doesn't really impress me too. The storyline meanwhile is not logic, just like other movie (Just Another Pandora's Box) and the storyline was too simple and easy to guess. Nothing really impressive and the love story also looks normal and nothing's shocking bout this one. I would say this movie is above average but not at its best and there's still a lot of room of improvement for this one. Do watch this movie only if you feel bored or you have no more movie to watch as I do not recommend you to for this movie. MY RATING: 3.5 /5 ; KIMMY RATING: 3.5 /5
