Synopsis: The story follows through Ip Man's life in his younger days. After the death of his kung fu master Chan Wah Shun in Foshan, Ip Man left to study in Hong Kong. Here, he learns different theories of Wing Chun from Leung Pik which helped to have great improvements. When he returned to Foshan, Ip Man falls in love with the deputy mayor's daughter but is objected by her father. Meanwhile, Ip Man's Wing Chun style is also said to have deviated from its traditional form. How could he face all these challenges and become one of the most respected kung fu masters of all time? |

My Comments: After our dinner here at 1 Utama with my brother Alan, we have decided to watch The Legend Is Born: IP Man. Unfortunately we did not get a place in GSC and eventually we manage to find a seat at TGV in 1 Utama. We watch here and the environment here was not so nice compared to GSC as the seat is not so comfortable as well. With the situation, we manage to get the seat as the cinema is not full too. Let's go straight to the movie comments. This movie was a great movie to watch and as you know, it should be a Chinese martial arts movie. This movie combines love, martial arts and some jokes in it that makes this movie great. But if you compared with IP Man 2 and this movie, IP Man 2 still the best. But for me, since I haven't watch IP Man 2, I would rate this movie great as the storyline was rather interesting as well and easy to understand. But for my brother, it was otherwise. He told alexleow-kimmy.com that this movie is just so-so compared to IP Man 2. Well, I would recommend you to watch this movie if you are a fan of IP Man. This movie although lacking of something (as said by Alan), still this movie is a must watch for you guys as the martial arts was fantastic and amazing. Once we arrived, there are very less customers over there and I can only see 2 tables filled with customers only. The business there was pretty bad especially in the weekdays. But during the weekends, the business is good. KTZ have a couple of outlets here including in Kepong, SS2 and in 1 Utama.
Once we sat down, we were served with the menu and the food arrival for our food is pretty fast too due to very less people. While browsing the menu, I've chosen "Beijing Spicy Lai Mee (RM6.80)" and a cup of honey with red dates and lotus seed (RM3.80). Alan ordered "Tom Yam Chicken Lai Mee (RM6.80)" and a bowl of chendol (RM4.80). The dish that I've ordered is good and recommended for you to try. For my drinks, it was nice too as it was not too sweet. For Alan's dish, he told alexleow-kimmy.com that the food was nice too. He recommends you to try it out as well. For the chendol, it was nice too. Overall, we are satisfied with the food we've ordered and you are welcome to try it out. The bill came and it's about RM26.00 ++ (including tax already) and I would rate as average as not too expensive nor cheap. 
Once we stepped into the restaurant, we briefly looked at the menu. It tooks us about 5 minutes to look into the menu and finally we've decided what to order and to eat. I've ordered Spicy Combo Chicken meals which contains 2 pieces of chicken, Coleslaw, Biscuits, Mash Potatoes and 1 Ice Lemon Tea. The price for this set meal is RM9.90. The set that I've ordered is not so good as compared to KFC or MCD. The chicken was not so tasty and just normal taste only. It was not too bad or not too good either and just average. Not recommended to try.
Both of our dishes looks very dissapointing to us but only 1 thing that looks good is the Cajun Fries. The Cajun Fries is good. The fries was a bit different from MCD but almost similiar with the fries served at Carl's Junior burger. It was fresh and the taste was good. Still it was not enough salty and what I can taste is the fresh potato itself without any taste as well. But among the dishes we tried inside, this is the best so far. The overall price plus tax is RM28.05 and I bet it's not worth it because the food is not so good as expected. I would not recommend you to try it. Better for you to go for KFC or MCD as these outlets are much more better than Popeyes.
Once we reach there, there are not many people as it's already 1.30pm. I've ordered Assam Curry Mee while Kimmy ordered Assam Laksa. For drinks, I've ordered Coke while Kimmy ordered Cincau Ais. The food here is not so expensive and reasonable. It costs us about RM4.80 for Assam Curry Mee and Assam Laksa. The Assam Curry Mee was nice as it's not so spicy and just suit my taste. It contains the not so sour and spicy that makes the taste just nice. Recommended if you come here. For Kimmy's Assam Laksa, it was not spicy enough and it's pretty sour. It depends on your taste whether you love spicy or not as this restaurant serves not so spicy taste and I guess it's just nice to eat. Enjoy! 
We were dissapointed with the situation and we've decided to take an early lunch. We went to BBQ Chicken at Wangsa Walk to try out the food over there. Once we were there, there are only 2 tables seated with people and we are the 3rd table. We looked through the menu and I've ordered Korean Charbroiled Fried Rice while Alan ordered Jerk BBQ. Both of us ordered ice water as our drinks.
The Korean Charbroiled Fried Rice was very nice indeed. I've tried it and the rice was very tasty too. I can taste that the rice being steamed before it was fried using olive oil and it was nice. The charbroiled chicken meanwhile was good too. I would recommend you to try it out when you are in any of the BBQ Chicken outlet. For Alan Jerk BBQ, Alan reported that it was nice too. The chicken was well cooked and the taste was just nice. He loves the taste too and give good ratings to it. It was fresh and of course it was cooked using 100% Olive Oil. He also said he recommend to you this dish as well.
We reach there about 7.00pm and they are still less people in the restaurant and the service was good. We were served immedeitely after we sat down and without any hesitation, ME & Kimmy had decided what to order. I've ordered Set Mild Peri-Peri 1/4 Chicken with Nando Chips and Coleslaw. Kimmy have ordered Set Mild Peri Peri 1/4 Chicken with Nando Chips and Grilled Vegetables. We had 2 glasses of warm water.
The food arrived pretty quickly as well and we get to enjoy the meal on the time. The Mild Peri-Peri Chicken was very delicious indeed. Furthermore, it's served with the Coleslaw and Nando Chips which both of the items were fresh and nice as well. Love it to the MAX. It's more tasty if you served with the sauce given by them including the Hot Peri-Peri Sauce & Extra Hot Peri-Peri Sauce. For Kimmy's dish, it's the same except the grilled vegetables which is pretty sucks and not tasty at all.
The price meanwhile was reasonable for a 1/4 Chicken and it costs about RM14.80 per plate. The bill came about RM34.00 including tax as our warm water is Free Of Charge. The portion of the chicken was pretty large as well and the coleslaw @ Nando Chips are also a lot as well. I would recommend you to try out mine order instead of Kimmy's order. I believe a lot of you have tried out Nando's and the feedback are surely good. If you haven't, do try it out with your friends or families and you will have no regret over their food. ONE WORD! RECOMMENDED! 
Once we arrived, we still manage to get our seats and it's located far behind the restaurant. But we can still consider ourselves lucky because some came in late unable to get their seats. The service was rather fast too. Both of us have ordered Lum Mee and for mine is the Lum Mee Big Noodle with "Mai Fun Mee" while Kimmy ordered Lum Mee Small (Yau) Mee. The taste was awesome and the mee was tasty too. Besides, the soup that catches our attention where the soup was very nice indeed. I never tried the Lum Mee soup before which is so delicious.
The price is a bit expensive as you are seated on the air conditioned restaurant. As long as the food is nice, the people nowadays would still pay for it. It costs about RM14.00 for both of us including 2 pcs of Fish Ball and 2 glass of Chinese Tea. Average per plate of the Lum Mee is about RM6.00 per person and still I am willing to pay it since the Lum Mee is so nice. I would totally recommend you to come over to this place to try out the best Lum Mee in PJ. Enjoy!
