Leisure: e@Curve Chinese New Year Decorations 2013
Hi All,
Our journey continues today with our 3rd mall visit in 1 day and this time around we have selected e@Curve as our next destination of the Chinese New Year Decorations visit. Since it's so near to The Curve, we've decided to pay a visit. For your information, IPC Shopping Center does not have any Chinese New Year Decorations this year I suppose as we've visited the mall with no decorations being setup there.
Let's go back to e@Curve Chinese New Year Decorations and this year theme would be "Swingin' C.N.Y A Dancevaganza". The theme itself is pretty explosive and attractive as well. Once you enter e@Curve on the concourse area, you are able to see a mini street during the years from 1915 to 1920 and it brings back old memories during Chinese New Year. Also Tanglung's can be seen around the mini street as well. For your information as well, 1 Utama Shopping Centre also sharing the same Chinese New Year concept mini street just like e@Curve. There's not a huge decorations nor a huge street but it's just only the mini street that eventually sells clothings, souvenirs and food there. There's not even a stage there for performance. This event commence from 11th January to 13th February 2013.
If you ask me whether the Chinese New Year feel is there at e@Curve, I can tell you not so but while they are playing Chinese New Year songs around the mini street, I can start to feel a little bit. The sales there are pretty less if compared to those huge malls. If you are around The Curve area, do drop by and take some photos on the old memory buildings and the building setup is pretty good too and you really can feel that you are behind the years. Trust me! Enjoy! MY RATING: 3/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 3/5

Leisure: The Curve Chinese New Year Decorations 2013
Dear All,
Welcome back to yet another edition of mall marathon and this is the 2nd mall that we've visited in 1 day. After our visit to Tropicana City Mall, our next destination would be The Curve located at Mutiara Damansara. This year Chinese New Year theme for The Curve would be "A Celebration Of Spring" which commenced from 11th January 2013 till 13th February 2013.
There's pretty less crowd at the concourse area and I can see there are less people taking photos this year for Chinese New Year decorations compared to last year. Let's see what decorations that has been installed by The Curve. It's a garden theme decorations where you can actually see a huge garden area which has a mini limestone and a gazebo in between of it. Tanglung's can also be seen around the mall as well. You can even walk on the isle and heading towards the gazebo and the limestone to take photos as well. Well done to The Curve. However, the huge front portion is closed for mall performance only.
Overall, although we do not have much time to walk around due to limited time but I am pretty impressed with the decorations prepared by The Curve this year although I would say it's not the best but it's still acceptable too. Once I step into the concourse area, I can feel the Chinese New Year celebrations already. We've also did take some photos around the decorations and we feel it's one of the best so far that we've visited (if compared to Tropicana City Mall). I would strongly recommend you to come over here to take photos and catch a beautiful glimpse of the Chinese New Year feel over here. Also, there's also a lot of ongoing Chinese New Year promotions going on and this is a great place to shop as well. Enjoy! MY RATING: 3.5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

Leisure: Tropicana City Mall Chinese New Year Decorations 2013
Hi All,
Welcome back to yet another edition of the Mall Marathon and this time in conjunction with the Chinese New Year Celebrations which is around the corner. The Tiong Hua community shall celebrate the year of the Water Snake in a few weeks time. We kicked things off by visiting Tropicana City Mall at Petaling Jaya. The Chinese New Year Theme for Tropicana City Mall this time is "A Grand Oriental New Year" that commenced from 20th January to 10th February 2013.
Their Chinese New Year Mall Decorations is very simple with a small Chinese Concrete Wall in front of the concourse area. I would say there's nothing so special about the decorations over there and it's just normal. It's just a waste of time if you are there to take photos and better not to go there to only take photos and just to go there to shop. There are many ongoing Chinese New Year promotions going on as well. ME & Kimmy had eventually managed to shop and buy lots of stuff at the mall and we did go home happily but pretty dissapointed with the mall decorations which I think they should put more effort to decorate this mall to make it more happening on the Chinese New Year feel.
I would not recommend you to come over here if you would expect a great Chinese New Year decorations but I would not object if you come here to shop as they have ongoing promotions on the mall which I think is reasonable and cheap too. Enjoy your shopping. MY RATING: 1/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 2/5

Food Hunt: MC Curry Noodles Restaurant, Glenmarie Shah Alam
Hello All,
Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt where ME & my brother Alan Leow had visited a quite famous restaurant located at Glenmarie in Shah Alam. We have a lot to think about on today lunch on where to have any finally I've come out with a suggestion that we were to have curry mee and Glenmarie is the place we should go. We have selected this restaurant called MC Curry and it's quite famous for some time back here in Glenmarie near the Shah Alam Stadium.
We reached the restaurant at around 1.15pm and the crowd is pretty less if compared to weekends. Normally during weekdays, it will be packed as the area is not a housing area but it's an industrial area so you can see a drop of its patrons during weekends. The restaurant is still considered a lot of people and many people came here to try out the curry mee as well as the Claypot Pork Noodle. I guess both also nice but the curry mee is the signature served at the shop.
I've ordered the Chicken Curry Mee Noodles (Large) (RM5.50) while Alan ordered Dry Curry Chicken Mee Noodles (Large) (RM5.00). For drinks, I've ordered the 100 Plus (RM2.00) while Alan ordered Herbal Tea (RM1.50). It does not take very long for our order to reach our tables. The Chicken Curry Mee Noodles is just nice and delicious. The broth is tasty. I would not say it's the best in Glenmarie but it still one of the best over there. The large portion is acceptable and I would say they are generous too. You should try it. Meanwhile, the Dry Curry Chicken Mee Noodles is just average according to Alan Leow. The taste is not as good as the normal curry mee. So you should know what to try over there.
| Dry Chicken Curry Noodle (RM5.00) (Large) |
| Chicken Curry Noodle (RM5.50) (Large) |
The price is pretty reasonable and it's not expensive. The portion given matches the price tag charged and I would recommend you to come over here to try out their speciality of Curry Mee. Do also check out their Claypot Pork Noodle as many also claimed that it's nice but I have not tried it just yet. Enjoy your meal. MY RATING: 5/5 ; ALAN RATING: 4/5

Leisure: TGV 1 Utama, Petaling Jaya
Hi All,
Welcome back to yet another edition of the Cinema Review and today I would like to review on the newly renovate TGV Cinemas located at 1 Utama. It had been closed for almost about 22 months or more to cater for a major renovation and they are back once again. It's now located at Level 3 Old Wing of 1 Utama Shopping Centre from the previous 2nd floor.
Once you reached the cinema, you will feel very comfortable and the design is super awesome. It's totally different from its rivals GSC 1 Utama, this cinema is very dark and it has a similiarity to a disco feel. Once you reach there, you feel comfortable and cold as well. The interior of the cinema is great and nice too. Since it's a brand new, it can cater up to about 1696 people with a total of 9 brand new halls. With 8 new digital halls including one IMAX theatre and one Beanieplex hall, TGV 1 Utama plans to open 4 more halls by February 2013 bringing its total to 12 halls. The 13 hall GSC cinemas which is located at the new wing of the shopping centre is a mere 10 minutes’ walk away.
The seats meanwhile are brand new and most importantly it's very spacious and comfortable for seating if compared to GSC 1 Utama. If you have selected the couple seats, you will find the seating space even more spcious and you can even put your handbags or bags or your shopping bags beside you as the space is huge. Love this new cinema as for now.
I would say this cinema is one of the most beautiful and grand cinemas around in the Klang Valley. If you still have not visited this cinema to catch a movie or so, do come over to enjoy the great cinema lobby view and enjot the new and mor spacious seats if compared to before and you will simply love it. Totally big recommendation from me to come over to catch a movie here. Thumbs up! MY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT) ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT)

Food Hunt: Win Soon Cafe (亚顺生虾鱼头米), Pandan Indah
Dear All,
Welcome back to our 1st edition of Food Hunt 2003 edition as we kicked off our food hunt of the year 2013 by visiting Win Soon Cafe (亚顺生虾鱼头米) located at Pandan Indah, Kuala Lumpur. This restaurant serves different varieties of Fish Head Noodle and you can choose many types of different fish head noodles and different soups as well such as the normal fish head soup or tom yam fish head soup.
We arrived at the restaurant at around 2.15pm and the restaurant is still crowded but still manage to find a place to sit. Once we sat down, the friendly waitress immediately served us with the menu and it took us about 5 minutes to look at the menu before deciding what to order. I've ordered the Fish Paste Meehoon Soup (RM9.50) while Kimmy ordered Sotong Ball & Fish Head Noodle Soup (RM9.50). For drinks, the shop is doing promotion now until 28th February and for every fish head noodle ordered, you're entitled for a free drink which entitles you for either Winter Melon Tea (Drinho) or Chrysanthemum Tea (Drinho). Both of us ordered 1 different flavour each. Originally, the drinks costs about RM2.50 per bottle.
It does not take very long for the food to arrive and it was superbly fast although there's still large crowds waiting for their food. Their service is great. Now let's go straight to the food review. The Fish Paste Meehoon Soup is above average and nice. Also to mention that the portion is above average with standard meehoon servings but there's a lot of fish paste given to me today about 7-8 pieces and I think they are quite generous too. The soup is above average and just nice to eat and it's not totally the best. The Fish Paste is fresh too. Meanwhile for Kimmy's Sotong Ball & Fish Head Meehoon Soup, the portion is above average with standard meehoon servings but there's a lot of fish & sotong ball as well. Be careful when you order their fish as it contains a lot of bones and eat with care. The fish taste is also above average. The sotong ball is nice and fresh too. The drinks meanwhile is just normal and nothing special since it's a bottle drinks.

Leisure: Petron Blaze Petrol
Dear All,
Welcome back to yet another edition of fuel introduction and today I would like to introduce a petrol that was newly entered the Malaysian Market and has eventually taken over Esso-Mobil brands in Malaysia and which means these Esso & Mobil brands had eventually over and you will never see them again. Never see them again? You will keep asking me this questions and you could still see it? Yes, Esso Mobil had given this new petrol a lifetime of 3 years time to re-brand the petrol stations. So far only 5-6 stations had been re-branded this new name in the Klang Valley and more coming soon.
Introducing Petron Malaysia Corporation Berhad, a giant Philippines Oil & Gas Industry player had entered the Malaysian market special thanks to Mirzan Mahathir, the son of former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed. He is one of the substantial shareholders inside Petron Malaysia. Alright, this is a little bit of info regarding Petron Malaysia and below the post, you may check out the website to get more information about this petrol company.
Their petrol station has a very striking colour especially at night with a combination of blue, white and red. It's very tempting to go there and pump because of a very nice color of the petrol station. Their staff is well trained and very friendly and polite as well. They also setup a new mart as well and named as Treats. Previously it was On The Go Mart from Esso. Besides, their points system still follows the old Smiles Points system and for the previous Esso Mobil users, do not worry as the points do not expire and Petron will continue with the point rewards as well. Do not in a hurry or push the emergency button to redeem your points immediately.
I have eventually tried 2 full tanks of Petron Blaze 95 (they are also selling Blaze 97) as Blaze is their brand replacing the Esso Synergy previously and I have experienced that this petrol is powerful too and eager to go. It's much more better than the previous Synergy fuel and I guess this Blaze petrol had a more powerful additives added inside their petrol. Eventually, they are better than Petronas Primax 95 Xtra, Shell Fuelsave and Caltex Techron.I would still say BHPetrol Infiniti Advance 2X has the best petrol around but Petron comes out as 2nd best petrol. For petrol savings, Petron has the lead compared to BHPetrol and other petrol as well. I would recommend to try out the Petron Blaze petrol and feel the difference. The car I used for testing is Proton Saga BLM 1.3L 2008 and the petrol consumption and power may wary from the usage of different cars. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5
