My Comments: Today ME & Kimmy had a date to watch a movie and we have selected this movie  Cloudy Of A Chance Of Meatball 2 as our movie choice. We watched it at TGV Cinema at 1 Utama as in the same time we plan to do some shopping back there. It was a Halloween Week and of course this movie is mostly suitable to watch in conjunction with this as well. If you have watch the first episode, this episode promises to be more exciting. The first episode touches more on meatballs but in the 2nd episode, it touches mostly on food and you can see many foods that can talk and to name a few including watermelon, sushi's, burgers, Tacos, french fries, berry's and many more. It was a great, fun and thrilling fantasy animation movies that keeps us laughing and in the same time gave it's audiences an great 95 minutes of action and jokes all the way.

The storyline was great and easy to understand as well. In my opinion, I think this movie is just fun to watch and at the end of the movie, you could actually see some sad scenes which could make you in tears. The storylines touches on the young scientist Flint Lockwood whose ambition is to be a great scientist and then he followed the wrong senior scientist that would harm those talking food. Can he save those talking food? You have to stay tuned and go to watch this movie. I will definitely recommend you to watch this movie and do bring your kids or your girl/boy friend to watch this movie as they are going to love this. Not forgetting this movie is also suitable for the whole family to watch as well. Remember do stay tuned after the movie ends as there's some small part of dialog can be seen and it could be part of the sequel. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5 (PERFECT)

My Comments: Again we visited the cinema yet again and this time this week after we are back from our mini trip at Ipoh. This time around, due to many recommendations from this movie, we've decided to watch it. It's a movie called Gravity (in 3D) starring only 2 famous actors which is Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. This movie talks about survival of outer space and how they overcome it. To make this movie more special, this movie only comprises of 2 actors throughout the 90 minutes. Let's go straight to the movie comments. This movie is very special and recommended you to watch in 3D as some claimed that if you are watching 3D, you can actually see the beautiful outer space and it looks very real and secondly nobody had ever filmed this type of movie before and director Alfonso Cuarón had done it. For me I think it's just normal maybe because I did not watch it in the IMAX cinema and the visual is just normal. The storyline is good but it's a little boring in the first 30 minutes before the momentum and action starts to build up after that till the end. It's a very special movie with special scenes and effects and if you check out on IMDB or other blogs, they give good reviews on its 3D and recommend you to watch it. So, I would recommend you to watch this movie as well as I think it's still good in terms of storyline and its 3D effects. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 4/5

Food Hunt: Restaurant Onn Kee (安記芽菜雞沙河粉), Ipoh

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt. Today we have requested our family to dine in together at Ipoh and then we have decided to dine in at Onn Kee restaurant as this is famous for its Bean Sprout Chicken during the olden days. But then as the wind blows, Lou Wong had become famous due to heavy publicity from the media and then bloggers as well.

Sar Hor Fun (Kuey Teow)
Kampung Chicken + Bean Sprout + Fish & Meat Balls
We reached the restaurant at about 7.45pm and its very crowded indeed. Although it's a Monday and it's an eve of Public Holiday. Once we got seated, we both ordered the following:

1.) 6 bowls of Sar Hor Fun
2.) 1 big plate of Kampung Chicken (Suitable for 4-5 persons)
3.) 1 big plate of Bean Sprout (Suitable for 4-5 persons)
4.) 1 bowl (10 pcs) of fish + meat balls
5.) 2 Cups of Herbal Tea + 3 Cups of Lemon Lime
Total: RM63.00

It does not take very long for the food to arrive and it only takes about 5 minutes. I think the restaurant owner have prepared the food before the crowd arrives and this process takes continuously. That is why it's fast. The Sar Hor Fun portion is small and the soup and Hor Fun is really nice and silky. The Kampung Chicken is fresh and nice too. The best comes from the Bean Sprout where it's large in size and crunchy too and it's nice. The fish and meat balls are also nice and with home made taste and it's bouncy too. The drink are also great where the Herbal Tea is fresh and the best comes from the Lemon Lime where it's refreshing after you consume a heavy meal like this.

Bean Sprout
Fish & Meat Balls
Kampung Chicken
The total bill came and it costs us about RM63.00. I would say it's worth every penny as it's filling and the portion is really huge except the Sar Hor Fun. If you have tried Lou Wong before or would want to try out other restaurant, Onn Kee is the place to be and it's just opposite Lou Wong (branch) or next to Lou Wong (Headquarters with air conditioned). Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

Travel: Kellie's Castle, Perak

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Travel and today we bring you over to one of the most famous and places of interest in Ipoh, Perak. Introducing the Kellie's Castle which is situated in between the town of Simpang Pulai and Batu Gajah. It's about 30 minutes drive from Ipoh town.

We reached the location on a weekday and on a working day and the crowd seems to be lesser. It's a huge castle that was built by a Scottish planter named William Kellie Smith. Before he could complete the building of the castle, he died back in Portugal in 1926 due to Pneumonia. If you want to study more about the history of this castle, please visit here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kellie%27s_Castle.

There's nothing much left you could see on the castle except some of the structures and some directions of the rooms where you can actually see the design of William Kellie Smith. It was nice too. On every partition, you could actually see from Kellie's room to his son and guest rooms which is situated on the castle. You can also see lots of secret passage at the castle to avoid it from being attacked by the enemy. There's a lot of history that you can learn on your journey to Kellie's Castle and you will not regret it. At the top of the castle, one can actually see the beautiful scenery of Batu Gajah and Simpang Pulai. Children must be exercise extra caution when you reach the top of the castle as there is no divider to protect the castle and it can be very dangerous.

Tips when you are there, do be extra alert as well as the stairs are steep and some of the places are dark too and you need some lights. Also after or during the rain, one must also be extra careful of
slippers floors as well. As you walk through the castle, you can actually see a few things ranging from the unfinished 6-storey lift, indoor tennis court, helipad and a rooftop courtyard for entertainment.

I would strongly recommend you to visit the Kellie's Castle when you are at Ipoh. It was a place full of history and great place to be as well. Remember to snap more photos like what I just did. Enjoy yourself and have a great holiday! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5

Travel: Gopeng Street Art & Gaharu Tea Valley, Gopeng

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Travel. Today our journey continues at Gopeng town where there are more places of interest to visit and among them are the newly developed Street Art and the Gaharu Tea Plantation located at Gopeng.

If you are near the Museum Gopeng, then you are able to see the street art just opposite the roundabout nearby the RHB Bank at some of the shoplots. There are 3 finished street art so far and the one that are in progress is the lion dance. Among those who had completed is the dining table, a hawker stall and a Malay style Atap House. We took opportunities to snap some photos there and we also get to interview the Gopeng Museum owner where they are in the midst of developing the street art and it will reach about 30 of them by the end of the year 2013. After Penang, now Ipoh is another destination of trending of the street art and one of those can be found at Gopeng. Check the photos out. You should not miss those beautiful street art as well.

Our next stop would be at the Gaharu Tea Valley. Special thanks to my mom and dad who brought us to this place of tourist and place of interest. Once you reach Gopeng, there will be a signboard leading you the way to the Gaharu Tea Valley and you need to go pass the kampung roads about 15 minutes before you can actually reach the plantation. It's quite deserted but at least the signboard will lead you the way and you will not get lost.

This place actually introduces the famous Gaharu Tree which can help to reduce of diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes. Once you reach the plantation, there's a shop selling all the Gaharu products such as Tea, Biscuits, Noodles that was made by Gaharu. I've try the tea over there and it's very nice and tasty too as it contains the fragrance of the Gaharu tree. There's an option for you to take a private van up towards the plantation and you need to pay RM10 per person for a 45 minutes tour. According to my parents, there's nothing you can actually do at the top of the plantation besides you can only see the fascinating view of the plantation and then you get a chance to HUG the giant and huge Gaharu Tree only. There's a tea restaurant coming up soon at the top but it's not ready yet at press time. I plan to make another visit once the tea restaurant is ready and we can enjoy the beautiful scenery while drinking the tea. It was a great trip overall for us. I would recommend you to come over here to visit the tea plantation here as well as the street art. A worthwhile visit to Gopeng town. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5
