BALI TRIP: Day 3 Places Of Interest

Itinerary Day 3:

Taman Ayun Temple : Royal Family Temple surrounded by big pond
Botanical Garden
Candi Kuning : Fruit ad flower Market
Bedugul : Ulun Danu Temple and lake Beratan
Tanah Lot Temple : beautiful ocean temple with fantastic sunset panorama

Today is the 2nd day and the last day of my tour here in Bali and it's a FULL DAY tour as well. Our tour guide, Mr. Gusti Ngurah Jelantik came and pick us up at about 9.00am. I am very excited to go to visit more places in Bali today as I look forward to some places of interest that I would like to visit.

The first stop is at the Taman Ayun Temple : Royal Family Temple surrounded by big pond. This place took us about 1 hour to reach the place from my hotel in Kuta. This place is huge and has a very nice scenery of a garden surrounded by a large pond in between it. It's situated in Mengwi. It was officially founded by the King of Mengwi. Inside the garden, there is also a temple which enable the people over there to do their prayers. It was a great place to take photos as the greenery of the garden gives us a good feel in the morning. There is also a tower where we need to climb some stairs where up the tower, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the whole garden and the temple over there. We spend almost 45 minutes over there taking photos and enjoy the scenery. A recommended place to visit. Entrance fees is IDR 6.000 per person.

Then we continue our journey to the Botanical Garden, which tooks about 30 minutes of our journey from Taman Ayun. The botanical garden is situated at the hill and the weather is so cooling and chilling as well. The temperature is between 18 - 24 degress of celcius. There you can actually choose to walk but it's recommended to take a car while you are touring the botanical garden because it's a very huge garden too. Our tour guide took us to look at 2 things inside the Botanical Garden. One of it is the Cactus & Orchid Farm situated at the Botanical Garden as well. Then we head towards the peak of the Botanical Garden where we can actually see the view of the Lake Beratan as well. Imagine it was a cooling weather and you can actually enjoy the beautiful view of the lake. How relaxing was it isn't it? This is what we call 'PARADISE'. A recommended place to go as well but you might spend less time there only to take photos. Entrance Fees is IDR 7.500 per person.

Our tour guide then introduced to us the fruits and flower market named the Candi Kuning. Candi Kuning sits at the top of the hill as well and is about 1KM from the Botanical Garden. There, you can see many stalls selling fruits and flowers as well. You can purchase them and it's totally fresh from farm. For ME, I bought myself Advocado fruit for my aunty meanwhile Kimmy bought Advocado and prunes for her family. The price meanwhile was slighly expensive but please consider that some fruits you will get to buy here in Malaysia. E.G. 1KG of Advocado (4-5 pcs) costs about IDR 10.000. Normally if you follow the tour guide, the tour guide will bring you here. A recommended place for shopping for flowers & fruits.

Then we continue our journey to the peak of Bedugul : Ulun Danu Temple and Lake Beratan. This place is like a heaven as it's one of the most popular and most beautiful lake and temple at the peak of the hill. Surrounded by Lake Beratan, this temple is floated in Lake Beratan and also you can see a lot of mist in between the hills because of the weather there is very cooling and chill. The amazing view makes me wanna stay there longer and we spend almost 1 hour there. We took a lot of photos of the amazing view and Kimmy & ME started to enjoy the view over there. One word AMAZING! Entrance Fees is IDR 10.000 per person.

We had our lunch later on and then head towards the last journey in our itinerary which is the Tanah Lot. It took us about 1 hour 10 minutes to reach there from Bedugul. This temple is also one of the most beautiful and famous among tourist to visit and it is also famous for its Sunset view as well. Then we spend almost 1 hour 20 minutes there to take photos and to shopping for souvenirs. The Tanah Lot temple is one of the temple that can be accessible but it depends on the level of the sea waters. If you go during evening time (4pm - 6pm) then you will able to walk to the other side of the temple because of it's shallow waters which was surrounded by the sea. We manage to walk over to the temple and take some photos and enjoy the amazing view of the Tanah Lot temple. This temple is also a must visit temple and it's included in the tour guide already if you subscribe to it. Entrance Fees is IDR 10.000 per person.

Then our tour guide send us back to hotel about 6.45pm and then we rest a while in the hotel. Then we continue our journey by walking / exploring ourselves along Jalan Pantai Kuta. We had dinner at the food court over there and then we took some photos at the Hard Rock Cafe in Bali. Then we continue our walking journey heading towards Legian Street as well and then we head towards back towards our hotel at 10.45pm.
