Food Hunt: Restoran Le Porc Dor (老婆多), Old Klang Road

Yo,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today ME & Alan had visited this restaurant at Old Klang Road after we had our haircut. We reach this restaurant at about 11.30am and there's no people in the restaurant because it's still too early for lunch break. We were immediately served with the menu and then we browse through the menu and it took me about 5 minutes for us to decide what to eat.

I've ordered Set C (worth RM14.90) which includes Main Dishes + Soup + Vege + Rice as Main Dishes (17 choices to choose), Soup ( 9 choices to choose ). The vegetables is fixed as it is and you cannot choose. I've chosen Mei Cai Steamed Pork (Ala-carte RM7.00) and for soup I've ordered Lotus, Lobed Kudzuvine Soup (Ala-carte RM7.00). The Mei Cai Steamed Pork is just nice and good to try. You can feel it's homemade food and you will simply love it too but the portion is just nice although I feel it's a little bit too small. The Lotus, Lobed Kudzuvine Soup is very nice indeed. It has a great taste and I simply love it too.

Alan ordered Winter Vege Steam Pork and for soup he ordered Salted Vege Tauhu Roasted Pork Bone Soup. The Winter Vege Steam Pork (Ala-Carte RM7.00) is nice and above average. It's almost similar like the Mei Cai Steamed Pork that I've ordered. But the Salted Vege Tauhu Roasted Pork Bone Soup (Ala-Carte RM7.00) is not very nice according to Alan. It's just too plain and not really salty and the taste is not there.

For us we ordered the Herbal Tea as our choice of drink. The Herbal Tea that we've ordered were Sugar Cane (RM3.00). The taste is very nice with a little bit of bitterness and I can taste that this is a real herbal tea and not just sweet all the way as it's not original. Good on the drinks.

Overall, we pay RM35.00 for just a home cooked healthy meal and I feel that it's pretty expensive to try it out. The portion is a bit not worth the price and the portion should be much more bigger. Even if there's promotion which includes the drink (total RM29.00) for 2 persons, I would say it's still expensive too. Anything below RM20.00 for home cooked food is just nice. Considering the food is above average, it's worth a try but not always I guess. I would recommend you to come over to this restaurant to try out the home cook food. Besides selling home cook food, they also selling home made cakes and pork satay as well and I don't have the time to try it perhaps next time during my next visit. Some say these cakes & satay are nice too. Enjoy! MY RATING: 4/5 ; ALAN RATING: 3/5
