Food Hunt: Killiney Signature, SSTwo Mall

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt and today ME & Alan had visited SS2 Mall to try out Killiney's Restaurant. It was a nice and beautiful cafe type restaurant and it was equipped with air conditioned as well. The restaurant is very large and it can cater at least 30-40 seats. Both of us reach there around 8.00pm and there's not much people in the restaurant, probably it's a weekday and the location of the mall is not so attractive as not much shop opened at SS2 Mall.

Once we sat down, we take a closer look at the menu and it took us about 5 minutes to look what to eat based on the menu and then we proceed to order. Surprisingly both of us ordered the same food which is the Killiney's Signature Assam Laksa (RM7.90 each). For drinks Alan ordered Kopi Ice (RM3.30) and I ordered Kopi O Ice (RM2.90). It does not take very long for the food to be served and it took the food about 5 minutes to come to us. The Assam Laksa was above average as it was pretty spicy but it slightly lack of sour taste. Overall it's nice to eat and it really bring up our appetite. Good job but it still can be improved. The portion of the Assam Laksa is average and still it's still slightly overpriced. The Kopi O and Kopi Ice is not so impressive as it's not very tasty and almost tasteless.

The food is slightly overpriced based on the portion given. It should charge around RM4.50 to RM5.00 based on the portion of the Assam Laksa. The drinks meanwhile is standard and normal based on the cafe based style but the taste really sucks. The bill came and it costs us about RM22.00++ plus 10% service charge. It was a bit pricey but the environment is really good here. You may try their other food such as toasted bread, western and Asian Food as they offer wide range of food as well. I would still recommend you to come over here to try and gave yourself a feedback on their other food as well. Enjoy! MY RATING: 3/5 ; ALAN RATING: 3/5
