Food Hunt: Kemaman Kopitiam, Kuantan (Version 2)

Hi All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of the Food Hunt. Today is 29th October (Friday) where we do get a chance to relax at Club Med in Cherating in conjunction with the Company Trip organized by my company TFP Solutions Berhad. I did not follow the bus as me & brother Ho Wing Onn had decided to go on a car and during lunch, we did stop over at Kuantan to enjoy our lunch and finally I've introduced Kemaman Kopitiam to my collegue Mr. Ho.

Once we reach there almost 1.00pm and the restaurant was not crowded and very less people only. Once we sat down, we were immedietely served by the waiter over there. We browse through the menu and then I've decided to try out the Nasi Dagang (RM7.80) and the Kemaman Coffee (RM3.80) while brother Ho Wing Onn ordered the same dish except the Coconut water (RM4.50). We've also ordered East Coast most popular food 'Keropok Lekor' (RM4.80) as well.

Let's go straight to the food comments. The Nasi Dagang was nice and special as it contains fish only together with the juicy curry that makes the Nasi Dagang so special and nice. I really enjoy the food but it's a bit pricey with the portion that we get as it was very small portion. Brother Ho Wing Onn also said the same thing as it was nice too. About the Kemaman Coffee, it was super nice and tasty too. For the coconut water ordered by Ho, it was rather sweet and juicy too. The Keropok Lekor that we've ordered also did not dissapoint us. It was very special and different compared to the ones selling in Kuala Lumpur. The Keropok Lekor was rather juicy as you can taste the fish flavour inside it and it was so tasty once it was accompanied with the chilli sauce.

The bill came and the price for all the food is about RM20.00++ after tax. It was not so expensive as we get to eat quite a lot of food as well but the Nasi Dagang was a bit pricey as stated earlier if we go by the portion that they gave. Overall, the food was real satisfactory and I would recommend you to try it. This restaurant is just opposite the Berjaya Megamall in Kuantan. Enjoy! MY RATING: 5/5; HO RATING: 5/5
