Food Hunt: Pontian Wanton Noodles House (笨珍云吞面), Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur

Dear All,

Welcome back to yet another edition of Food Hunt. Me & Kimmy had initially visited Berjaya Times Square as part of our Christmas Decorations review and today it's crowded although it's a working day in Kuala Lumpur and a Holiday at the Selangor state. We hang out there and in the same time doing some windows shopping over there. This time around, we stopped by Pontian Wanton Noodles House to try out the famous Wanton Mee over there. We reached the restaurant at about 7.00pm and the crowd is pretty less considering the working day. This is what we've ordered:

1.) Pontian Wanton Noodle (Small) (Black Sauce + Chilli) (RM5.50)
2.) Pontian Wanton Noodle (Big) (Black Sauce + Chilli) (RM7.50)
3.) Sugar Cane With Water Chestnut (RM3.00)
4.) Coca-Cola (RM2.90)

Pontian Wanton Noodle (Black Sauce With Chilli)
It took about 8 minutes before the food arrive and it's pretty fast too. Firstly I taught that how can the Wanton Noodle so dry then after trying out I know why. It's a different style of cooking and I was amazed when I eat it. The noodle is so tender and juicy too with the spiciness added to the noodle. It was so fabulous when I taste it and it's a different kind of experience when eating Wanton Noodle. I would highly recommend you this dish no matter you order Small, Medium or Big with only a RM1.00 difference. The big portion is really huge and it's just filling for a guy like me. The small portion suits the female. You may also choose different sauce that was offered by them on the menu but for my first time I've tried out the Black Sauce + Chilli and it does not disappoint. For drinks, the Sugar Cane with Water Chestnut is also very nice too. Worth of trying. They also sell Chinese Desserts (Tong Sui) and I've heard it's nice too.

Sugar Cane with Water Chestnut

The price we pay is around RM18.90 (without Government or Service Tax) and I think the price is pretty reasonable especially when you dine in a mall like this. I would say the food quality is good and recommended to you. Do come over and try out their food. For your information, they've also have some branches in the Klang Valley including SS2, Kepong and many more. Enjoy the food. MY RATING: 5/5 ; KIMMY RATING: 5/5
